"Yes, so, just chatting is fine." Sylvie smiled faintly, her thoughts unreadable.

Despite this, the two didn’t actually talk much. After a few sentences, they completely ran out of things to say. Sylvie tactfully walked away; after all, she had completed her family’s task.

"Does she really not care?" Watching Sylvie’s departing figure, Isaac smiled faintly. ’Honestly, I don’t really believe it. No matter what, she’s a Great Knight. It’s impossible that she has no desire to control her own destiny.’

’That might be a little difficult.’

"What? Interested in her? Want me to put in a good word? Given our family’s current situation, it shouldn’t be difficult." Just then, Caesar, dressed in a white formal suit, walked over to Isaac’s side with his hands behind his back. He watched Sylvie’s departing figure and spoke softly.

"We just exchanged a few words. You’re overthinking it, Brother," Isaac said helplessly, glancing at Caesar beside him.

After spending the last few days together, his relationship with Caesar had returned to how it was before. After all, Remington had been the one to act first, and it wasn’t the first time either, so any displeasure Caesar felt had long since vanished.

After all, he had already lost one brother; he couldn’t very well lose another.

"But I seem to recall you were twenty-eight when you married my sister-in-law, Brother?" Isaac cut in before Caesar could finish.

"But I had my first woman when I was sixteen. What about you?"

"Heh~ How impressive. I’ll be sure to tell sister-in-law later!"

"...You... Sigh... You should hurry up. Don’t be so picky."

"This isn’t about being picky. I’m a Mad Witch, who would even want me? I don’t want to be a tool for someone else’s political marriage, and our family doesn’t need that." Pausing for a moment, Isaac continued, "Besides, I’ve already split from the main family. If I entered a political marriage now, wouldn’t that have been for nothing?"

Caesar shook his head helplessly. "Forget it, I can’t win against you. In any case, just pay it some mind. All the well-known Nobility of the Empire have sent someone today. See for yourself."

"Mm, if there is someone, I’ll let you know, Brother. You didn’t come looking for me just for this, did you?" After speaking, Isaac glanced in the direction of the Terra Royal Family, where Caesar had just come from.

"Mm, there is indeed one more thing. The Royal Family asked me to ask you if your conflict with the Eldest Princess can be resolved. As compensation, they’ll build you a Mage Tower. You get to choose the design and the construction team; they’ll just foot the bill."

After saying this, Caesar glanced at the members of the Terra Royal Family and continued, "They are being very sincere. As long as you agree, they can guarantee the Eldest Princess won’t have any objections. If you’re still not at ease, they can even erase the Eldest Princess’s memories of you!"

"!!" Isaac snapped his head toward Caesar in shock, his face full of disbelief. "Really? That ruthless?"

Caesar nodded. This was one of the reasons he was acting as a middleman. After all, they were offering a lot. In the end, the conflict between Isaac and the Eldest Princess wasn’t that significant; it was just that both of them had vindictive personalities, which caused the situation to keep escalating.

"This..." Isaac’s brows furrowed. Just as Caesar thought, his grudge with Princess Philo was actually nothing major. At the end of the day, it was just a matter of face. And as for face, if the price was right, he’d give as much as was needed.

But...

The Terra Royal Family was offering too much!

Never mind that it was just his older sister who had been promoted to Grand Arcanist; even if Isaac himself had been promoted to a High-level Mage, he shouldn’t pose much of a threat to the Royal Family. It was certainly not worth paying such a high price to resolve this conflict.

They could even erase the Eldest Princess’s memories...

This was definitely not normal!

After pondering with his head down for a moment, Isaac looked up at Caesar, his expression grave. "There’s definitely more to this, isn’t there?"

Caesar sighed and nodded but didn’t explain. "That’s right, but... I can’t tell you..."

Isaac met Caesar’s gaze and narrowed his eyes. Then, he glanced toward the Terra Royal Family and said solemnly, "If you want to resolve this conflict, fine. I don’t need you to erase the Eldest Princess’s memories, and I can even do without the Mage Tower as compensation. But you have to tell me the reason!"

The compensation was tempting, but Isaac wasn’t moved in the slightest. For the Terra Royal Family to be willing to pay such an enormous price could only mean one thing: if he didn’t agree, the Terra Royal Family would have to pay an even greater one!

And that price was likely not something Isaac himself could inflict. He had a realistic assessment of his own abilities. His strongest move at present, if he were to throw all caution to the wind, would be to summon the power of an Evil God to wipe the slate clean.

That might be a powerful deterrent to other factions, but to the Terra Royal Family, it was just so-so.

That’s why Isaac was so incredibly curious about the reason behind all this!

Caesar met Isaac’s gaze for a moment before finally conceding. He sighed and said, "Fine. I’ll go ask for you. Wait here."

Isaac nodded, watching Caesar turn to speak with the people from the Terra Royal Family. Their conversation was clearly being shielded; although they weren’t far away, he couldn’t hear a single sound, nor could he even read their lips. All he knew was that they seemed to be arguing fiercely for a moment.

In the end, the people from the Terra Royal Family agreed. They glanced at Isaac a few times, sighing as they nodded their assent.

Having gotten their approval, Caesar walked back. Just as Isaac was about to ask, a golden light suddenly emerged from Caesar’s body and enveloped him.

"Hm? This is... a Divine Domain?" A golden light flashed before Isaac’s eyes, and he found himself in a vast Void. Streaks of golden light drifted all around, emitting terrifying energy fluctuations that would make one’s blood run cold.

The Divine Domain is the source of a High-level Knight’s power and the prototype of a Divine Kingdom. It is also a key reason why the Knight profession can match Wizards in terms of high-end combat power.

Right now, Isaac was inside Caesar’s Divine Domain. A Divine Domain was different from a Dimension World. Although it was an independent world, its connection to reality was much closer. At the very least, Caesar could open his Divine Domain at will, whether to enter himself or bring others inside, with little to no cost.

Of course, a Divine Domain is not a truly existing Space—at least not yet. Therefore, neither the High-level Knight themself nor any other creature could stay here indefinitely. This was another difference from a Dimension.

’We needed to come to the Divine Domain? This must be really important news!’ Isaac’s expression turned grave.

Caesar nodded, then said, "The reason the Terra Royal Family is suing for peace is simple. The Emperor of Terra is dead."

"I see, so that explains... huh? The Emperor of Terra is dead?!" Hearing Caesar’s words, Isaac first nodded instinctively in agreement. ’If that’s the case, then it all makes sense.’ But he immediately processed the words and stared at Caesar in astonishment.

"Yes. That Demigod, the symbol of invincibility, the Emperor of Terra, is dead!" Caesar said with a grave expression.

"How... how is that possible... He’s a Demigod... How could it be... so sudden?" Isaac muttered with his head down, his voice filled with disbelief. ’This matter... is too damn big!’

If this isn’t handled well, the Terra Empire itself could collapse!

His petty personal grudge really amounted to nothing.

"Who did it? And what are we supposed to do now? Should we leave..."

"Calm down!" Caesar barked, and a faint golden power flowed into Isaac’s body, forcibly steadying his panicked emotions.

"The Emperor of Terra is still alive. His death is in the future, not the present! The Emperor foresaw his own impending, unavoidable death. Therefore, for the sake of the Empire, the conflict between you and the Eldest Princess must be resolved.
