Wizard: Scamming a Demon God

"He couldn’t be delayed even for a moment? Unbelievable..." In the center of Philis Town, Philo sighed, a rat pinched in her hand as she stood before a giant Magic Array. Then, she turned to Remington, who stood behind her and should have been in another dimension. "You go buy some time. No matter what, you’re his biological brother. He shouldn’t be crazy enough to kill you yet."

"..." Remington’s expression was complicated as he hesitated.

"Heh~ What are you hesitating for? Do you still expect to be real brothers with him?" Philo scoffed, shaking the rat in her hand. "Don’t forget, you’re the one who brought this little guy to me."

"Sigh..." Hearing this, Remington let out a long sigh and, with heavy steps, turned and walked toward Isaac.

Philo watched Remington’s retreating back with a disdainful laugh, then turned her gaze to the Magic Array before her, her expression turning to one of excitement.

"Angel has failed. Are you sure you still want to be enemies with that lunatic? I smell the strong aura of an Outer God on him. Besides, that madman has purchased materials for at least three different rituals for trading with Outer Gods recently!" a tentacle extending from Philo’s shoulder spoke softly.

"It’s just trading with an Outer God. Haven’t I done that too?"

"How can that be the same? You trade, he robs!"

"..." Philo choked, then said, sounding a bit guilty, "It’s just one rat. It can’t be that serious, can it?"

"First, this is clearly not an Ordinary rat. Second, you are plotting against him. Finally, and most importantly, you cannot kill him." The mechanical tentacle stated Philo’s most frustrating reality in the calmest of tones.

No matter how mad Isaac himself was, or whether Angel had been killed, none of it was as important to Philo as this final point...

After speaking, Philo gave a cold smile and threw the rat in her hand into the Magic Array.

Before the rat could even land, a grotesque Golem with seven hands, six eyes, five heads, four horns, three mouths, two bodies, and one leg rose from the Magic Array. The rat was enveloped by a strange Force Field, lifted by the seven arms, and raised up along with the Golem!

Before long, a colossal, one-hundred-meter-tall Golem stood in the center of Philis Town!

Meanwhile, Isaac had finished off the last enemy Trial Taker. And with that, this inexplicable Divine Lamp Grand Trial was over!

Three golden beams of light descended from the great Divine Lamp in the sky. One landed in the center of the town beside Philo, and the other two landed at the edge of town, next to Isaac and Angel.

"Hmm?" Isaac hadn’t even had a chance to check his rewards or the giant statue that had appeared in the town center when he was surprised to find that Angel’s golden light was right near him. He immediately forgot about his rewards and focused his gaze in the direction where the light had fallen.

"No need to be so tense, Mr. Isaac. I believe we now have a common enemy and a common goal." Angel slowly emerged from the shadows, a Magic Book cradled in her arms, and spoke with a smile.

Isaac looked at Angel’s perfectly intact legs, narrowed his eyes, and said, "It seems you have quite a story to tell as well. But don’t you have the Chronicles of Time? Why do you need to cooperate with me?"

After speaking, Isaac glanced at the Magic Book in her hands.

"It’s precisely because I have the Chronicles of Time that I’ve come to cooperate with you~" Angel said playfully, tilting her head.

Isaac froze for a moment, then realized. ’So this means... it’s guidance from the future?’

"Fine. But I don’t trust you."

Angel nodded. "As you shouldn’t. So, I will tell you what Philo is planning to do."

"Oh? Is that so?" Isaac raised an eyebrow. ’Talk about perfect timing.’ Due to Philo’s status, he couldn’t kill her—at least not now. Besides, he probably wouldn’t be able to. The High-level Knight stationed in Philis Town wouldn’t let him do it.

’But who ever said revenge requires killing someone?’

"God Creation!"

"? A Divine Species? That can’t be it... Don’t tell me... a Deity?" After saying this, Isaac himself fell silent for a moment.

Because it was too insane.

Although the names "Deity" and "Divine Species" were similar and the concepts deeply connected, in reality, they were worlds apart!

But not all Wizards who studied Deities were weak. From what Isaac had read, there were seven recorded experiments of Wizards creating Deities. Six of them failed. The only successful one couldn’t be controlled; it escaped, became an Evil God, and nearly wiped out the Wizard lineage of that era.

Fortunately, a powerful, slumbering master was awakened by the commotion and sealed it away, allowing the Wizard heritage to continue.

So, the most important part of this experiment wasn’t whether it would succeed, but whether you could f*cking control it!

"Perhaps~" Angel smiled faintly. Who could know what these Mad Witches were thinking? "I only know that she might succeed. Do you know what her Talent Witchcraft is?"

"Devour and Plunder?"

Angel’s expression turned to surprise. "How did you know?"

"A guess. Otherwise, I couldn’t think of a reason for you to betray her," Isaac shrugged, then added, "I think you’d better hurry up. It looks like she’s about to start."

Isaac narrowed his eyes as he watched the Magic Circuits on the giant Golem’s body begin to light up.

Angel’s expression was one of helplessness. ’That’s right. If it weren’t for that, why would I have betrayed the Eldest Princess? After all, she was so good to me.’

"Then I’ll make it quick. I don’t know the specific effects of the Magic, but I know it has complex conditions. First, it requires plundering three things at once, so three materials are needed. Second, they must be corpses. Third, it cannot be used on oneself."

"Hmm? Huh?" Isaac looked at Angel in surprise. "It can’t be used on oneself?"

She had wanted to warn Isaac when the plan was being formulated, but unfortunately, the closer they got to execution, the more thorough Philo’s surveillance of her became. She never found an opportunity to speak up.

Hearing this, Isaac just nodded. He was now fairly certain that Angel’s Chronicles of Time didn’t actually know everything.

However, he didn’t fully believe her words either. The part about the sacrifices, for example, was ridiculous.

’Three sacrifices, two of which were just conveniently available. If I hadn’t come, would Philo have just never used this Magic? Would she have never started her God Creation plan?’

’Of course, you could say she changed her mind at the last minute, but if the conditions are so complex, how could they be changed on a whim?’

But at least Isaac had confirmed one thing: that big guy was extremely important to Philo!

Isaac looked up at the hundred-meter-tall Golem, slowly spread his arms, and broke into a wild grin!
