However, Isaac didn’t bask in this joy for too long. The White Whale Avatar was certainly great, but there were two problems. Therefore, after a brief rest, Isaac got up, cleaned away the lingering traces of his previous work, and began arranging a new ritual.

Compared to the White Whale, the Lord of R’lyeh encompassed a far greater range of Authorities. Consequently, Its ritual materials were more diverse. Of course, this also meant the materials were easier to find, as substitutes were plentiful. In the end, the ritual only required the Concept contained within the materials; the materials themselves were not important.

Especially the components used as a buffer to increase the margin for error—they were ridiculously cheap. Fishman scales, for instance. That stuff was so cheap no one even bothered to sell it in the markets!

Thus, the Lord of R’lyeh instantly became the most cost-effective Outer God "client" Isaac had!

Even more so than the Master of Billions of Flesh!

After all, he couldn’t mass-produce Demonized Flesh himself yet and still had to buy it. And while Demonized Flesh was quite cheap, it still couldn’t compare to Fishman scales.

Soon, the ritual for the Lord of R’lyeh was complete. Although It was also a Deep Sea Evil God, unlike the White Whale, the Lord of R’lyeh’s Faith had a significant following on land. As a result, the Basic Array for the ritual was the classic combination of a circle and a Hexagram.

Inside the Magic Array were all sorts of things: fragments of a Demon’s body, a twisted statue, a Demon’s claws and fangs, and even some serrated tentacles. All kinds of bizarre materials were distributed across the array according to a specific pattern.

As for the Fishman scales serving as the "cushion," Isaac didn’t place them randomly. Instead, he used them to form the image of an octopus outside the Magic Array. It was said that this was the true form of the Lord of R’lyeh, but no one could confirm it. All that was known was that doing this would indeed summon It.

This was the sacrificial dance of the Sea Race, an indispensable part of the ritual. It would help Isaac locate the Lord of R’lyeh; otherwise, the ritual might connect to another, similar Evil God, which would mean failure.

A specific transactional ritual only works for a specific Outer God. Even if they wield similar Authorities, the rituals are not interchangeable.

As Isaac’s sacrificial dance came to an end, the sound of a surging tide echoed in his ears. At the same time, a foul, fishy stench from the Deep Sea emerged.

In an instant, the light around Isaac was stolen away. He found himself standing in a void of absolute darkness!

Immediately after, a pair of scarlet eyes emerged from the darkness. Along with those scarlet eyes, a gigantic octopus head materialized before Isaac, bringing with it the surge of deep ocean waves. Countless tentacles rose and fell with the waves, and a bizarre Mental Force Field rushed toward him, attempting to assimilate Isaac, but it was ultimately blocked by the power of the ritual.

Standing before the octopus head, Isaac was incomparably small, dwarfed by even a single one of Its tentacles.

However, facing such a huge monster, Isaac felt not a shred of fear. He knew that as long as the ritual didn’t fail, It could do nothing to him.

Just like the Spiritual Power that naturally radiated from Its body, it would be automatically blocked.

"A Legendary Mage? Interesting. Insignificant human, it has been a long time since anyone summoned me. Your kind still trusts the Gate of Legends, as always. State your wish, mortal."

’Gate of Legends? What’s that?’ Isaac raised an eyebrow. An unexpected discovery. However, he wasn’t about to ask the Lord of R’lyeh to solve this mystery. This was clearly related to Legendary Mages. He could find answers in the Flesh Sect after the ritual. As one of the oldest Wizard Organizations, the Sect should have some records about it.

"I wish to obtain the Knowledge of how to extract Magic Power from a Dimension!" Isaac declared loudly.

Just as with the White Whale’s ritual, though the terms of the trade were just a cover, there was no need to ask for something useless. Since he was already here, he might as well shore up his own weaknesses.

Currently, Isaac’s shortcomings were still very obvious. Despite how satisfying his victory in the battle of Philis Town was, it had been built on money—a pay-to-win scenario. He couldn’t afford to fight like that under normal circumstances.

Not to mention the final battle where he crushed Feili; that was even more reliant on the once-a-day Infinite Magic Power which caused immense damage to his Dimension. In other words, his conventional combat strength was still insufficient.

First, he had been a Wizard for too short a time. His technical knowledge and magical repertoire were severely lacking. This was a common problem for all Legendary Mages; they had no apprentice stage and started directly as Official Wizards. Therefore, during their time as Official Wizards, most Legendary Mages went down the path of a Summoner.

The only difference was whether they were Summoning Servant Demons or Golems.

Second, the battles he had been involved in were too high-level. Normally, his Magic Power was already considered quite good among Official Wizards. Although he knew few spells, he would have few rivals at his own level by relying on his "Three Axes."

Unfortunately, since his debut, his opponents had been either an army of Black Orcs or an Imperial Princess. Their strength lay not in themselves, but in the resources they could command.

This had instilled in him a ’phobia of insufficient firepower’ that constantly preyed on his mind.
