Wizard: Scamming a Demon God

Among the four types of Demon Eyes, the Petrifying and Freezing Demon Eyes were the easiest to acquire and the most effective in actual combat. They could be perfectly adapted to nearly any fighting style, making them Isaac’s secondary choices.

Although the Demon’s Eye was the most powerful of the Demon Eyes, it was deeply intertwined with the Demon Dominator path, so he actually ranked it as his lowest priority.

This was because the Demon Dominator path currently overlapped with his own fighting style. Demon Dominators had two main combat methods: one was to summon a massive Demon Legion and simply overwhelm enemies with sheer numbers; the other was to use contracted Demons as "power banks," ruthlessly draining their Magic Power to unleash a barrage of area-of-effect Magic.

But...

For the first method, he had Flesh Conversion. While not as convenient as Summoning Demons, it offered far more freedom. As for the second, he already had his own Secret Skill and no longer lacked Magic Power—at least, not for now.

But that wasn’t to say the Demon’s Eye was completely useless—far from it. To a Wizard, Demons were excellent research subjects, especially for a Legendary Wizard.

Legendary Wizards were unlike Arcanists; their personal styles were far more pronounced. Even when conducting the identical experiment, different Legendary Wizards could achieve different results, as each possessed a unique degree of Mystery and embodied different Concepts.

Therefore, unlike Arcanists, there were rarely any master-disciple lineages among Legendary Wizards. Their Knowledge could be exchanged, but it was incredibly difficult to replicate.

The Demon’s Eye, with its powerful ability to dominate Demons, could greatly assist a Wizard in conducting a whole series of experiments on them—or even breeding them.

As for the final option, the Kaleidoscope Eye—that was Isaac’s top choice!

It wasn’t because this Demon Eye was guaranteed to be more powerful than the others; that wasn’t necessarily the case.

Isaac ranked it as his top choice because it was essentially a lottery!

Before implantation, it was completely unknown what kind of power the Kaleidoscope Eye would awaken!

It could be world-shatteringly powerful, or it could be a mere parlor trick. It was utterly thrilling.

Compared to stable, predictable abilities, Isaac much preferred this kind of thrill. Of course, besides the excitement, Isaac also wanted to test if he could use his Golden Finger to influence the Kaleidoscope Eye and force it to awaken its most powerful potential!

Unfortunately, of all these options, only the Freezing Demon Eye and Petrifying Demon Eye were relatively easy to obtain. There wasn’t a single lead on the others, especially the rarest of them all, the Kaleidoscope Eye. Rumor had it that it was created by a treasure belonging to the Itra Kingdom, with a yield of only one per year. It was so precious that money alone couldn’t guarantee a purchase.

So, after posting a request on the Sect’s forum, Isaac put it out of his mind. He instead began to consider his options for the Mage Tower. It wouldn’t do to keep the Terra Royal Family waiting forever. The sooner the project was underway, the more at ease they would be, and so would Isaac.

And this deliberation took three whole days!

Over these three days, he went back and forth with the Mage Tower construction team sent by the Royal Family, and in the end, he settled on the first design they had proposed: a massive, standard-model Mage Tower.

This Mage Tower had no particularly outstanding features in terms of performance. It was just a standard Mage Tower, with no extra contraptions or production lines. Its only defining feature was that it was BIG!

And empty!

This Mage Tower was absolutely massive!

It was designed with four separate power systems alone!

Later, whatever style Isaac decided on, he could simply add the corresponding functions. The design team had created this intentionally, considering that Isaac was currently only a Tier Two Grand Wizard whose personal style and path had yet to be established.

Of course, they called it a custom design, but Isaac knew that was just talk. It was still a standard-issue Mage Tower—just the standard model for second-generation Mages.

The Eldest Princess’s Mage Tower, which he had visited before, was the same type. It had only the most basic functions, with large portions of space left empty for her own customizations.

Of course, hers couldn’t compare to Isaac’s in sheer scale. For one, Isaac’s Mage Tower was meant to appease him, a form of compensation, so the budget was much larger. For another, this wasn’t the Imperial Capital. The relationship between the three royal brothers was currently harmonious, so they could build it as large as they wanted with no reservations.

And what if political complications arose in the future...?

He could just move it. A Mage Tower wasn’t some immovable object.

Although a Mage Tower’s power is tied to its fixed location, and it lacks the mobility of a Floating City, it wasn’t impossible to relocate. The cost would just be a bit higher, and during the move, the Mage Tower would enter a dormant state, with all its functions suspended.

Once Isaac confirmed the plans for the Mage Tower, it was as if some unseen force had settled things, and good news began to roll in one after another!

First, the results of his experiment with the High-level Curse were in, and they were delightful!

The curse’s effect was fantastic. Moreover, it could be influenced by his Golden Finger, and its effects were stackable!

After three days, the ordinary Dragon Lizard, having been subjected to just a single High-level Curse from Isaac, had awakened its Dragon Blood, grown a pair of wings, and transformed into a Flaming Dragon Lizard!

A Tier One Upper-rank Demon!

The more exceptional individuals of its kind could even advance to Tier Two!

The results were incredible!

And what was even better, the effect was stackable!

The only downside was that even a High-level Curse couldn’t break the law of conservation of energy. Ten curses did indeed equate to roughly ten times the growth, but it also required ten times the energy!

However, the Dragon Lizard’s own rate of energy intake couldn’t keep up with its rate of consumption. As a result, on the second day, it simply starved to death...
