Wizard: Scamming a Demon God

Passing through the main gate, a "castle" spanning over a thousand square meters came into view.

It was called a castle mainly because the Solomon family lived here, but in reality, it was just a slightly larger manor.

However, it wanted for none of the necessary facilities.

The castle’s architectural style was more akin to a military fortress, with dark outer walls and staggered watchtowers and arrow towers that glinted coldly, giving off a stern impression.

The castle was divided into three sections. The central part was the tallest and served as the main administrative area, housing the Lord’s Mansion. The two lower sides were connected to the rear of the castle, forming the residential quarter.

This was the place where Isaac had grown up.

To be honest, these conditions were shabby even for a Viscount, let alone a Count.

But the Solomons had always been this way. As Border Nobility, they understood the importance of martial strength, so most of their expenses were funneled into cultivating their personal power and their army.

The fact that Caesar and Cheryl were able to achieve the status of High-level Life at such a young age was not just due to their talent; the domain’s investments were also a crucial factor.

This was especially true for Cheryl. Gaia had thoroughly embraced the concept from Isaac’s past life of "raise sons poorly, but daughters lavishly." Her status as a Grand Arcanist was, quite literally, bought and paid for with a mountain of money!

The Mage Tower within the fortress, in particular, had nearly exhausted the family’s entire fortune!

Of course, Cheryl had also proven with her own strength that their father Gaia’s choice was correct, successfully becoming a Grand Arcanist.

Although she was Tier Three like Caesar, she was a noble Mage!

The kind of truly noble Mage with both wealth and skill!

Whether in terms of combat power, productivity, or social status, Cheryl was far superior to Caesar, even rivaling the veteran High-level Knight, Gaia.

At a low Level, a melee class like a Knight was stronger than a Wizard who only knew a few spells and had slow Casting times—much, much stronger.

But at a High Level, Mages decked out in luxurious equipment, with an endless arsenal of Magic, could basically wipe the floor with a High-level Knight of the same level in a one-on-one fight!

The same was true even in a surprise encounter!

This just went to show how brilliant Gaia’s decision had been. He had gambled nearly the entire family fortune and won a Grand Arcanist for an eldest daughter...

With his big sister around, it was no exaggeration to say that within ten years, the Solomon family’s title would be promoted a rank. For the next five hundred years, their foundation would be secure, barring a change of dynasty where they backed the wrong side.

In this era where ultimate power resided in the individual, the strong were just that important!

Gazing at the familiar castle, Isaac was filled with emotion. When he left, he was just a sickly weakling who could be knocked over by a gust of wind. Now, returning once more, he was already a Grand Wizard, a Tier Two Transcendent!

And although he was newly promoted, his strength was not considered weak even among Tier Two individuals.

Unfortunately, the reputation of a Mad Witch was far from honorable, which robbed him of much of the triumphant feeling of returning home in glory.

Following his big sister, Isaac led Smith and the others to the Lord’s Mansion in the central castle. By the time they arrived, their father, Gaia, and eldest brother, Caesar, having already been notified by his sister, were waiting for them.

Normally, this was the procedure for vassal Nobility or other subordinates seeking an audience with their Lord; a family meeting shouldn’t be so formal.

However, the Solomon family had long been accustomed to military-style discipline. Having grown up this way, they naturally saw nothing strange about it.

"Father, Big Brother."

Upon entering the Lord’s Mansion, Cheryl and Isaac bowed to their father, who was seated at the desk, and their eldest brother, who stood beside him. Afterward, Cheryl moved to stand on their father’s other side, while Isaac remained where he was.

"Smith..." Gaia glanced at Isaac, showing no surprise that he had become a Grand Wizard. As a Mad Witch, Isaac’s progress was known to be extremely fast; by their calculations, it was about the right time.

He was, however, very surprised by Smith.

Gaia’s frown deepened as he looked at Isaac, a chill creeping into his eyes. If Isaac couldn’t give him a satisfactory explanation for this, he wouldn’t hesitate to clean house!

To Gaia, this matter was even more serious than the killing of Remington!

"What is the situation with Smith’s changes?"

The moment Gaia spoke, both Cheryl and Caesar frowned. They could all hear the coldness in their father’s voice and couldn’t help but look at Isaac with concern.

But even Caesar didn’t dare to speak up and plead for Isaac without first understanding why he had done it. In this family, Gaia still commanded a great deal of authority.
