Isaac had known the project team was rich, but he never imagined they were *this* rich!

They actually used a Floating City as a laboratory!

This made Isaac all the more eager to join the project team!

"Esteemed Master Isaac, Master Yashan and Lady Cloth are waiting for you in Laboratory 13. Please follow me." As soon as Isaac stepped onto the Floating City, a breathtakingly beautiful figure appeared at his side, speaking respectfully.

Mage Towers have Tower Spirits, so it was only natural that a Floating City would have a corresponding intelligent system—the Floating City Core.

Isaac glanced curiously at the Floating City Core’s pointed ears. ’An Elf...’

’I wonder if that’s a designed appearance, or if she was actually born that way...’

Unlike Tower Spirits, Floating Cities were so massive that a purely artificial intelligence might not be able to control one effectively. Thus, some Wizards took an alternative path, directly converting living beings into Floating City Cores!

Of course, because this involved a superweapon like a Floating City, the conversions were always voluntary, even though they were transformations. The subjects were typically people who didn’t have much time left or were on the verge of death from grievous injuries. It was, in a way, a second life in an unconventional form.

However, as time went on, artificial intelligence technology continued to iterate, and now there were intelligent systems capable of controlling a Floating City. He just didn’t know which type this one was.

Isaac’s attention didn’t linger on it for long, however. He quickened his pace to follow her, a hint of excitement on his face. The two people the Floating City Core had mentioned were both High-level Mages, and one of them, Cloth, was even a Giant Dragon!

To Isaac, those two were far more fascinating than the Floating City Core who may or may not have been an Elf.

Led by the Floating City Core, Isaac navigated a series of twists and turns before walking into an enormous laboratory. The moment he entered, Isaac’s pupils contracted sharply.

It was because of what he saw: an egg. An incredibly large egg!

It was over twenty meters tall!

’What the... Is that a Dragon Egg?’

Sensing the aura coming from the giant egg, Isaac’s expression twisted. He wasn’t the same clueless kid he used to be; Dragon Eggs didn’t get that big!

According to the records, the largest Dragon Egg ever found was just over five meters tall. Over twenty meters... wasn’t that just absurd? ’Could it be a double-yolk?’

A sharp glint flashed in Isaac’s eyes as he instantly analyzed the giant egg’s data, getting a rough picture of it. Though powerful, it definitely only contained a single life-form.

’Incredible. Is it artificially created, or a newly discovered species?’

Isaac’s eyes flickered, filled with a deep curiosity.

Seeing his reaction, the man and woman standing before the giant egg exchanged a smile. They were now certain that he had indeed developed the Dragon Transformation Secret Medicine himself. It wasn’t just because of the deep curiosity in his eyes, but also because it seemed Isaac had genuinely noticed something.

And they were right. While he couldn’t get more information, Isaac had noticed a small clue. This thing was probably man-made. Although its life aura seemed perfectly smooth and unified, Isaac could still detect some traces of a ritual on the eggshell.

The giant egg might not have been created using Ritual Magic, but almost all large-scale Magic these days was simplified from rituals, so it was only natural for some similar traces to remain on the egg.

Only someone like Isaac, who specialized in rituals, could spot it at a glance. Another Wizard might not have been able to see it at all.

However, this was the extent of what Isaac could discern. More information would require a more detailed examination.

"Greetings, Master Yashan. Greetings, Lady Cloth." After a moment of distraction, Isaac quickly came to his senses, walked briskly to the man and woman, and bowed respectfully.

This was respect for the powerful.

The man and woman nodded with a smile. Yashan, on the left, spoke up, "Tell me what you think of this little guy. You can take a closer look; its data is available."

Isaac looked at Yashan with some surprise, and then he froze. Behind Yashan, he saw a massive, illusory figure. It was a... Sub-Dragon, lying quietly on the ground.

Yes, a Sub-Dragon.

He had noticed Yashan wasn’t human the moment he came in, but he had been too far away and hadn’t dared to scrutinize him. It wasn’t until he got closer that he realized Yashan possessed a dense draconic aura.

But it was just a Sub-Dragon.

Although it was a Winged Dragon Species, a type of Sub-Dragon whose bloodline purity and appearance were extremely similar to a Pure-blooded Giant Dragon, a Sub-Dragon was still a Sub-Dragon. The difference was huge.

But Isaac quickly understood. ’Right,’ he thought. ’They said there were three Giant Dragons on the project team, but they never specified they were all Tier Three Giant Dragons.’ For a Pure-blooded Giant Dragon, Tier Three is just the beginning. But for most Sub-Dragons, Tier Three is the end of the line.

Yashan didn’t seem to mind Isaac’s complex gaze. He simply smiled and gestured again toward the giant Dragon Egg.

Yashan actually had a very high opinion of Isaac, because he saw a potential path forward for himself in Isaac’s Dragon Transformation Secret Medicine.

It was only a sliver of a possibility, but Isaac had only been an Official Wizard when he developed it. What if he found a solution in the future?

Who could say for sure?

Yashan had been making similar investments for years. After all, it was just a bit of goodwill, and it didn’t even cost him any money.

Isaac snapped back to reality, composed himself, and then walked over to the giant Dragon Egg. He placed his hand on its shell, his eyes narrowing slightly as he carefully sensed the life aura within.
