Wizard: Scamming a Demon God

’I don’t know what this white mist is, but it’s definitely the White Whale’s power. Who cares? There’s no one around, so I’ll just grab it first. Besides,’ he mused, ’I’m probably the only "person" who’d want this stuff anyway.’

’I can figure out what it is later.’

And so, Isaac began his happy scavenging journey!

And it was happy in the most literal sense.

Because he discovered that the percentage of the White Whale ritual was dropping very slowly!

He had already obtained the Energy Crystal Stone condensed with the White Whale’s Infinite Evolution talent. Without any guise to cover his tracks, he was stealing the White Whale’s power so directly, yet the percentage was only dropping by one percent per second?

’Isn’t it a bit too slow on the uptake?’

Isaac quickly tossed this question to the back of his mind. ’Whether it’s slow-witted or not, who cares? This thing is just like the wives in certain novels—as long as it’s not you or your own wife being slow, it’s a good thing!’

However, despite the White Whale’s sluggishness, Isaac didn’t let his guard down. He still decisively stopped when the percentage dropped to five hundred percent. To this day, he couldn’t forget the time the Black Orc God’s Divine Descent tried to screw him over!

Even though that incident hadn’t affected him in the slightest, who knew what tricks the White Whale had up its sleeve?

Better safe than sorry, as they say.

However, Isaac’s worries were clearly unnecessary. The White Whale’s dullness seemed to be genuine. Isaac successfully concluded the ritual, and as the White Whale formed from the mist dispersed, it even seemed puzzled. ’Why is this human so generous? With so many offerings, he only wanted this little?’

Isaac didn’t know what the White Whale was thinking, but he was happy—very happy!

First was the White Crystal Stone from the White Whale. Using this would grant him the ability of Infinite Evolution. However, though it was called Infinite Evolution, the strength of the ability varied depending on the price paid during the trade.

To put it simply, it wasn’t truly infinite evolution, at least not for those who received it this way.

Most versions of Infinite Evolution only worked up until the Advanced level. Of course, the boons of all Outer Gods were extremely generous. Any Infinite Evolution granted by the White Whale that involved the "eat, eat, eat" method was true Infinite Evolution—it all came down to whether you dared to use it.

Isaac’s version, however, was a bit more special, because its upper limit wasn’t just Advanced!

It was also because of this item that Isaac learned the name for Tier Four—Miracle!

Whether one was a Wizard or a Knight, upon reaching Tier Four, they would be crowned with the name Miracle. This was because a Tier Four being’s mere Existence was already a Miracle, not to mention they possessed power comparable to a Miracle.

Unfortunately, the information Isaac obtained was very limited. He only knew the name. As for how to become a Miracle Mage or a Miracle Knight, he still didn’t have the slightest clue—aside from this Crystal Stone.

Isaac examined the fist-sized White Crystal Stone in his hand. To be precise, it was a transparent Crystal Stone, but it was so filled with white mist that it appeared white.

The method of use was simple: crush it, then completely absorb the white mist inside to obtain the power of Infinite Evolution.

Isaac didn’t plan on using this item himself. He was a Wizard; his power came from Knowledge, not evolution. Power without the corresponding wisdom to wield it was no different from being a wild beast.

However, just because he wouldn’t use it didn’t mean someone else couldn’t. For a moment, several figures flashed through Isaac’s mind, but he dismissed them one by one.

’Smith’s loyalty is beyond doubt, but this is the power of an Evil God. I’m not sure if Smith could resist the temptation.’

’Liu Li doesn’t need Infinite Evolution to increase her power. As a Demon God’s Favored, her potential is no worse than Infinite Evolution. But she possesses the power of both a Demon God Species and a Divine Species, making her a born test subject.’

’However, I still need Liu Li as my assistant, and this experiment is too dangerous. It’s not suitable. And frankly, I’m quite satisfied with her as she is now. Although her true form is as abstract as my own art style, her ability to transform makes up for it. Her current appearance is also right up my alley, so she’s not a candidate.’

’Harmon is even more out of the question. My relationship with Harmon is the closest among all my Servant Demons; we’re practically two sides of the same coin. There’s no way I’d let him personally take on such a dangerous experiment.’

"Tsk~ Looks like I’ll have to form a contract with a new Servant Demon after all." Isaac shook his head and put the Crystal Stone away. ’It could work,’ he thought. ’My combat style is basically that of a Summoner anyway, so one more won’t hurt.’

He just needed to think carefully about what kind of Servant Demon to contract. If possible, he wanted to get one with a normal "art style" this time—one that was genuinely normal, not just normal on the surface like Liu Li.

’But, that seems a little difficult...’

This was absolutely the most important thing to the White Whale right now!

Because while the Infinite Evolution talent was strong, its strength lay in the future. It required a massive amount of energy to accelerate its growth—an astronomical sum, especially for the current White Whale!

But the source of its power was different. Losing this would cause a tangible decrease in its strength!

Who knew how long it would take to replenish this lost core power.

So, what use was this to Isaac?

Directly fusing with it was out of the question. The stuff was good, but Isaac couldn’t handle it. There would be a one-third chance of mutating into a monster, a one-third chance of his body exploding, and a one-third chance of becoming one of the White Whale’s Followers.

Fortunately, this stuff came with its own instruction manual. Isaac could use this source power to create a White Whale Avatar—his own White Whale Avatar!

This White Whale Avatar would possess the same abilities as the White Whale and could also undergo Infinite Evolution.

But most importantly, the White Whale Avatar could connect to his Dimension World. Anything it devoured could be converted into nourishment for the Dimension’s growth!

In other words, he had obtained the ability to make his Dimension World grow!

And such a free and easy ability at that...

Yes, easy.

Although feeding the White Whale wouldn’t be easy, Isaac had no intention of paying for its meals himself. He could just toss this thing into the ocean and let it eat, eat, eat!

He wouldn’t have to worry about resources for its growth at all!
