The bold title left Isaac utterly stunned. ’So audacious? So high-level?’

Isaac stared at the Witchcraft Manuscript, his heart pounding. Slowly, he raised his right hand and gently pinched his own cheek...

"HSSS!!!"

The sting on his face and the shock in his heart made Isaac gasp. ’This thing is real?’

’Where did Big Brother get this?’

"GULP~"

Swallowing hard, Isaac carefully turned the page. He was now incredibly curious about the contents!

"Uh..." After reading the contents of the Witchcraft Manuscript, Isaac blinked, a little dumbfounded. ’This stuff... I think I can actually understand it?’

’Are Deities really this unimpressive?’

With a flicker of doubt and disappointment, Isaac continued to read...

A moment later, he put down the Witchcraft Manuscript. The tension in his mind eased, but at the same time, a trace of disappointment crept in...

Although the title of the Witchcraft Manuscript sounded incredibly impressive, the contents were just so-so. The level of Knowledge it contained was still within the scope of an Official Wizard, and the "Deity" it spoke of wasn’t a true God.

To be precise, it should be called a Divine Species.

The most basic form of a Deity.

Of course, they had other, more common names, like Totems, spirit essences, the Spirit of This-or-That, and so on. These names all referred to beings that drew upon the Power of Faith as their source of strength.

In terms of their essential nature, they were no different from Deities.

But as everyone knows, discussing effects without considering the dosage is just plain foolish. Although the essence of a Divine Species was the same as a God, the difference in their power was like that between a firefly and the brilliant moon.

The premise of this Witchcraft Manuscript was quite ambitious: to study Deities by researching Divine Species. The various anatomical records within all pertained to Divine Species, mainly focusing on three subjects: a black snake Totem that possessed a body of flesh and blood, the disembodied spirit essence of a Violent Bear, and finally, a Spirit of the Wilderness from the Barbaric Wilderness.

The variety was quite comprehensive.

Besides the research materials, the manuscript also detailed a Witchcraft created from this Knowledge—Deity Refining!

Of course, after getting a general understanding of the Witchcraft Manuscript, Isaac knew the name was a definite exaggeration—and a huge one at that.

Strictly speaking, it should have been called Totem Refining.

Forget about creating the high and mighty Deities; this Witchcraft couldn’t even create the other two subjects, the spirit essence and the Spirit of the Wilderness. It was an unfinished product.

Of course, it was possible that the technique was perfected in subsequent Witchcraft Manuscripts.

But at least, that was the case for the copy he held.

Nevertheless, the manuscript was still immensely valuable to him. After all, it was right up his alley; his current specialty was biological modification.

Composing himself, Isaac focused his attention on the Witchcraft Manuscript once more, studying diligently. He would occasionally consult the Magic Book his big sister had given him, firm in the belief that the more he understood the foundational theories, the better.

And so, Isaac once again immersed himself in the ocean of Witchcraft. Guided by the meticulous prompts from his Golden Finger, which were like lessons from an unparalleled master, he was a sponge, rapidly absorbing all Knowledge!

As Isaac buried himself in his studies, time slipped quietly by. In the blink of an eye, three days had passed...

That morning, Isaac wasn’t cooped up in his laboratory. For the first time in a while, he went to the training grounds, basking in the sun while watching Barton work up a sweat. After successfully advancing to the rank of Knight with the help of the Blood Essence Potion, Barton’s once-dormant spirit, much like his physical body, was now brimming with boundless vitality!

Now, the moment Barton finished his patrols, he would begin training, refusing to waste a single opportunity.

Isaac hadn’t come to watch Barton train simply because he was idle. Today was the day the Dragon Lizards and Demon Rats were scheduled for delivery. He had already cleared out a warehouse behind the castle, the new Beast Breeding Arena now complete.

Now, all that was left was for the Dragon Lizards and Demon Rats to arrive.

"WHOOSH~"

Before long, a black dot appeared on the horizon, slowly drawing closer. A minute or two later, it resolved into the shape of a Wyvern, which landed on the training grounds and kicked up a massive cloud of dust.

The Guard Team rushed over to surround Isaac, their faces masks of shock as they stared at the Wyvern in the distance.

A Wyvern was a high-Level Sub-Dragon. In both bloodline and appearance, it closely resembled a true Giant Dragon. Its strength was not to be underestimated; a typical adult possessed physical power comparable to a Great Knight!

In actual combat, however, most Great Knights were no match for it. After all, it could fly!

And yet, the Tower of Flesh used such a powerful Wyvern merely for deliveries...

Isaac shook his head slightly. His understanding of the Wizarding World had deepened. ’It seems this world,’ he thought, ’still belongs to the Mages.’

He patted Barton’s shoulder, signaling for him to calm down. Isaac then walked around him and slowly approached the Wyvern. From an inner pocket of his Wizard Robe, he retrieved a piece of parchment with the contract written on it and presented it to the beast.

"HSSS~~" The Wyvern lowered its head slightly, its golden pupils fixed on the parchment for a moment. With a gentle shake of its wings, twelve cages—two large and ten small—appeared at its feet. Then, its long, slender tongue snaked out and snatched the parchment voucher from Isaac’s hand.

With that, the transaction was complete.

"HSSS~" The Wyvern nodded, then with a powerful beat of its wings, it soared back into the sky.

Isaac watched the Wyvern’s departing figure with envy and sighed quietly. ’Flight... Dragons... spatial storage equipment...’

’It’s all so enviable...’

’Especially spatial storage. It’s one of the standard-issue items for a transmigrator.’

Although he had a Dimension to store things, opening it frequently was detrimental to its growth. Overuse might even cause it to collapse. For now, it could only be used as his trump card, which was far less convenient than actual spatial storage equipment.
