"The between-space flowing through the Ashrow the way it flowed through Kael in the Grade Nine dungeon." She paused. "Both simultaneously." She paused. "At the community level." She looked at him. "The whole Ashrow. At once."

He sat with that.

At once.

Not every person transformed dramatically.

"When," he said.

"Give or take two weeks depending on the community’s participation quality between now and then." She paused. "The community’s honest participation is the rate-determining factor." She paused. "Not anything external." She paused. "Not the correction work or the school sessions or the oversight board." She paused. "The Ashrow’s own daily honest participation." She paused. "The coal."
