Dael’s numbers arrived on the morning of the third day.

Not through a message — Dael had been sitting with the documentation continuously for three days, updating in real time as the data flowed through the node network and the threading and the correction workers’ field reports and the wellspring’s outflow quality and the aggregate cost readings Oren was tracking hourly.

Dael looked up from the documentation at dawn on the third day and said:

"Eighteen months."

He looked at them.

"The previous estimate," Dael said. "The measurably shorter than generational trajectory that the collective threshold produced." They paused. "The Observer’s estimate of three years before the shift to participating in the arrival." They paused. "Both were calculated without the wellspring’s opening." They paused. "With the wellspring flowing — the between-space returning at source-rate to the territories in its range simultaneously with the correction work running in the worked territories — the two approaches combined producing the exceptional yield I described yesterday." They paused. "The trajectory to the shift changes to eighteen months." They paused. "Not three years." They paused. "Eighteen months before the between-space’s momentum is sufficient for the shift from providing conditions to participating in arrival."

Eighteen months.

From three years to eighteen months.

"The world aggregate cost," he said.

Oren was ready with the data.

"Before the wellspring opened," Oren said. "World aggregate at approximately ninety-four. The correction work and the collective threshold and the kingdom’s sustained clean architecture and the thirty-one territories producing a measurable drop from the original hundred and twelve." They paused. "Three days after the wellspring’s opening." They paused. "The aggregate is at seventy-eight."

"Some of them overlap with the correction work network. Some are territories the network hasn’t reached." They paused. "The correction work territories receiving the wellspring’s flow on top of the established healing — the yield Dael described as exceptional." They paused. "The threshold dynamics in those territories accelerating." They paused. "Twelve of the correction work territories will cross the between-space return threshold in the next month." They paused. "Previously the estimate was three to four months for each." They paused. "The wellspring’s flow plus the correction work producing threshold crossings four times faster than the correction work alone."

Four times faster.

Twelve territories to threshold in a month.

"The territories the network hasn’t reached," he said.

"The wellspring’s flow arriving without the correction work preparation," Nara said. She had been reading the node data continuously. "The between-space arriving at the source-rate into the unprepared territories." She paused. "No destabilization — the door opening at the rate the territories could receive, as we understood at the opening." She paused. "But the arrival without preparation is — producing specific effects." She paused. "The fragment-carriers in those territories are beginning to experience something." She paused. "Not the clean expressions the correction work support produces. Partial expressions. The abilities reaching toward expression without the transition layer disruption that makes the expression clean." She paused. "Fragmented expressions." She paused. "The between-space returning and the fragment-carriers beginning to feel the between-space but without the root work having cleared the path." She paused. "The expressions partial and sometimes disorienting." She looked at Kael. "Those territories need the correction work. The wellspring’s flow has accelerated the need." She paused. "The between-space arriving and the people not having the support infrastructure to receive it cleanly."

He understood immediately.

The preparation having been necessary precisely for this.

The wellspring’s flow arriving in territories where the methodology hadn’t yet reached — the people beginning to feel the between-space returning, the fragment-carriers reaching toward expression, but without the root disruption and the oversight board and the honest Awakening curriculum and the support that made the expressions clean and sustainable rather than partial and disorienting.

The work urgent in those territories now.

Not because the wellspring’s flow was harmful — it wasn’t.

Because the flow was real and present and the territories didn’t have the infrastructure to work with it.

"The priority territories the Observer identified," he said. "The seven correction work ones. Five in the wellspring’s range."

"Yes," Nara said. "All five are experiencing the partial expression effects. The between-space arriving. The fragment-carriers feeling it. The methodology needed." She paused. "Urgently." She paused. "Not the deep wellspring work — you’ve done that. The correction work in those territories." She paused. "The school’s graduates and the network’s correction workers and the methodology reaching those five territories."

He thought about the school.

About the seventh class still in the foundation sessions.

About the graduates already deployed.

About the correspondence chains reaching the thirty-one territories.

About what the network needed to produce in the next eighteen months to prepare sixty-seven territories for the wellspring’s flow.

"The school needs to know," he said to Nara.

She was already writing.

He sent messages to the network simultaneously.

To Wren: The wellspring is open. The threading needs to extend to sixty-seven territories in the wellspring’s range. To Hael: The oversight board model needs to reach thirty-six new territories in the next twelve months. The wellspring’s flow is producing the need faster than the previous timeline projected. The retroactive review framework needs to be ready for territories where the between-space arrives before the institutional correction has completed.

"Yes," Dael said. "The pattern identifies the most urgent one — the territory with the highest density of partial expression effects and the least established correction work infrastructure." They checked. "Two days east of here." They paused. "The between-space arrived there this morning. The fragment-carriers are beginning to feel it." They paused. "The expressions will be significant within a week without the support." They paused. "We need to be there."

Two days east.

He stood.

"Today," he said.

"Today," Dael agreed.

They packed.

The wellspring flowing behind them as they walked.

The between-space in motion.

The gradient running outward from the source.

The correction work going to meet it.

The preparation meeting the arrival.

The ground ready for the water.
