"We are quite the merry group, aren’t we?" Terry asked.

The guild masters looked like they wanted to ask why the hell two kids were with them, but they decided not to. They assumed they were Terry’s kid or something with Rebecca. Terry didn’t realize that, but Rebecca noticed their weird gaze, and since she was ready to hear some sarcastic remarks, she only felt troubled.

In any case, once the airplane began to move. The group relaxed a bit, but soon the temperature began to drop, and they realized that they wouldn’t fly for long. Things were a lot more intense than expected, even thought they had prepared themselves a lot for it. 𝙧𝙚𝙚𝔀𝒆𝓫𝓷𝙤𝓿𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝙤𝓶

"I will give the mission details," Vanessa said. "Our destination is only two hundred kilometers away from the border, so we will only be here for half an hour. The hunters in Canada already secured the airport a long time ago, so we will have the chance to land without any problems. However, they don’t keep the place filled with hunters to guard it; the reason for that is the fact that the trolls have good instincts, and they quickly group together in places where they can find a lot of targets. They are fast, and barricades can’t slow them down, so we might have to fight them as soon as we land."

The extremely cold climate in Canada posed a challenge for them. On the one hand, they couldn’t afford to leave the airplane behind as it provided crucial transportation and shelter. It was one of their lifeline in this harsh environment. However, they also knew that the concentrated mana in the area could interfere with communication systems, making it difficult to establish contact with their base or other guilds.

To overcome this challenge, they decided on a compromise. They would keep the airplane with them, ensuring they had a reliable means of transport and protection from the cold.

"We should use the airport as a base and deal with the trolls until we secure the perimeter and the hunters of Canada join us," Terry declared.

"That seems like our best option," Vanessa nodded. "However, since the area is so cold, we will have to park the plane in the hangar of the airport. The snowstorm might freeze the fuel of the airplane if we don’t do that."

Airplane fuel, commonly known as aviation turbine fuel (ATF) or jet fuel, is designed to withstand low temperatures. It typically has a freezing point of around -40 degrees Celsius or -40 degrees Fahrenheit. At this temperature, the fuel may solidify or form gel-like substances that can clog fuel lines and cause engine malfunctions.

They could use Anti-freezing additives mixed with the jet fuel to lower its freezing point and improve its cold weather performance. These additives can effectively lower the freezing temperature of the fuel, allowing it to remain in a liquid state even in extremely low temperatures. However, they didn’t have access to that, so their options were limited.

That means that in case of emergency, it will take a while to make the airplane ready... that seemed like a pain. Now that Terry thought about it. Their destination was only a couple of hundred kilometers away... they could have just run toward it. Crossing large amounts of snow still was annoying, though.

In any case, at some point, the cold began to affect almost everyone on the plane. Terry and Rebecca were fine, thanks to their power armor. The cold was caused by mana, so their magic defense could fight agaisnt it. Ruth and Christ also looked fine since they were covered from top to bottom with clothes that prevented them from losing their body heat. Still, the guild masters looked a bit troubled. Some of them didn’t need that many clothes since they had to focus on mobility, but even so, they couldn’t just become slow as turtles with a lot of gear.

Rebecca looked at Terry, but he just shrugged. He didn’t even give Vanessa one of his armors; he had no reason to give to others either. His guild members were a priority in that regard.

Before long, the group began to prepare for the landing, and the plane began to go down.

As Terry looked out of the airplane window, he was greeted by a breathtaking sight: Canada, covered in a vast expanse of snow. The landscape stretched out before him, with no signs of cities or familiar landmarks in sight.

Everywhere he looked, all he could see was a vast sea of white, as far as his eyes could reach. The snow had blanketed the land, transforming it into a winter wonderland of immense beauty. The rolling hills and rugged mountains were now adorned with a thick layer of snow, giving them a serene and tranquil appearance.

The trees stood tall, their branches heavy with the weight of the snow. The once-green foliage was now coated in a pristine white, creating a picturesque scene that seemed straight out of a postcard. The silence was palpable, broken only by the distant hum of the airplane’s engines.

As Terry observed the snowy landscape, he couldn’t help but feel a mix of emotions. On the one hand, there was a sense of awe at the raw and untouched beauty of nature. On the other hand, there was a realization of the challenges that lay ahead in such a harsh and unforgiving environment.

The visibility was terrible; one couldn’t even see a few hundred meters ahead, thanks to the snowstorm. Terry could tell that fighting there would be hard, thanks to the crazy layers of snow around.

As the airplane descended toward the snowy terrain of Canada, Terry felt a slight jolt of excitement mixed with apprehension. The pilot skillfully maneuvered the aircraft, aiming for the designated landing spot in the airport. However, as the wheels made contact with the snow-covered runway, it became apparent that the landing wouldn’t be as smooth as anticipated.
