Only My Weapons Level UP

Since some of the guild masters had been knocked out. The ones still standing didn't notice it... but they were holding their ground quite well.

When Vanessa used her Thunder Beam again, the creature tried to repel the attack with a swing, but then the spear didn't do its job, and the beast was pushed backward almost until it hit his throne. Everyone looked surprised... did the boss get weaker? Only Terry knew what was going on, and soon the boss did as well when he saw him crushing the cocoons...

"Keep him busy!" Terry shouted. "His strength decreases or increases according to the number of allies he has around!"

Everyone thought that Terry had died since he just disappeared from the fights, but then they found him sneakily smashing the cocoons. The others also thought that the strength of the beast was surreal, considering that the monster didn't look different from the others. Still, they couldn't imagine how come was that possible... only Terry, that had fought the red giants could understand it.

Vanessa focused on firing Thunder Arrows that were incredibly fast and forced the monster to block them since he was unable to dodge those. However, every time he did that, the electric current paralyzed him for a fraction of a second. Several of those stopped the monster for several seconds, and the beast was attacked by everyone.

Unable to move and while seeing several weapons approaching his next, the boss used his spear and made the metal extend around its body to block the attacks. Terry clicked his tongue when that happened... the enemy got severe a bit too soon than he had expedited. As if that wasn't annoying enough, the entrance door was filled with cracks.

"Whatever, I will make it do..." Terry thought and then dashed toward the entrance of the room.

A single moment before the door completely collapsed, Terry looked at those three holding the door, and they jumped away. They had no idea what Terry was planning. Still, they decided to trust him... in the next moment, he used Sonic Punch, and the powerful punch hit the door and the enemies and even created a blast that sent hundreds of them flying down the stairs while killing dozens of others instantly.

The impact made the building tremble a little, and the battle behind Terry stopped... and everyone looked at him, even the boss. Meanwhile, the enemies in front of him were still going down the stairs. That should buy the group some time.

"Well, it seems that I kept you waiting..." Terry said after he turned around.

Terry could feel that his power had increased tremendously, and now that so many enemies were killed or were far away, the strength and endurance of the enemy decreased. Its armor was still on and probably could take some hits, but the enemy still took a single step back.

"Oh? Are you stepping back?" Terry asked. "That isn't good; I can't beat the crap out of you without getting closer."

The monster glared at him while biting its lips in anger and exasperation. Still, the creature knew that the next punch would end its life. Terry didn't have time to waste, so he charged at the creature, the boss tried to run away and open a hole in the hall if it had to, but Vanessa used her lightning bolt and paralyzed the beast. In the next moment, Terry got in range and used Sonic Punch.

The monster turned around and tried to block the attack with the spear, but it was useless. The weapon broke, and when the punch landed on the chest of the creature, the armor broke into small pieces as well. The boss was sent flying toward the wall while spinning to the sides until half of its body was crushed on the walls of its own castle... in the next moment, Terry's gloves broke as well.

"Ah... I guess even those had some limitations," Terry thought. "I accumulated too much power thanks to Power Boost."

The enemy was defeated, and the mission had been completed. However, there were plenty of enemies outside, and Terry couldn't use the power of his hard gloves anymore... he would have to make do with the crystal ones.

"What is the plan now?" Terry asked when he grabbed the small metal plate and the head-sized magic stone from the monster's body. "How the heck could he live with something this big inside him?"

"We are tired and wounded, but we only have one path toward the portal," Vanessa said. "We will be counting on you to open the path."

"Impossibru," Terry said. "I can't use that technique again. It consumed too much of my energy. The enemies outside should be plenty wounded as well. So, we can deal with them as long as we work together inside here."

Vanessa didn't want to hear that from Terry, of all people. Things could have been a lot easier if he decided to use his powers on the others. If he could become that strong, it would have been even more efficient to make everyone receive a small portion of that power...

In any case, the group checked the outside and confirmed the situation. Meanwhile, Terry began to smash the cocoons... each one of them only granted him two experience points, but it was better than nothing.

"I guess this will do for now..." Terry said and then approached the others.

Terry saw that his previous attack killed a lot more monsters than he had expected, and at least half of the enemies had got quite a bit hurt while falling down and stepping on each other... he lost a lot of experience...
