Terry spent the next day resting, and then when night came, he crossed the portal and headed to the enemy’s base. Just as he had expected, the nights were pretty cold in the desert. Still, he ignored that... even though he saw some signs of ice forming around, he didn’t feel that bad, thanks to his magic resistance.

As night falls, the temperature in the desert plummets, descending to levels that belie the fiery embrace of the sun that ruled the day. The arid air, deprived of the sun’s radiant warmth, surrenders its heat to the surrounding atmosphere. The rapid cooling sets the stage for the delicate dance of condensation and crystallization.

As the air cools, it reaches its dew point, the temperature at which it can no longer retain the moisture it holds during the day. This moisture, previously absorbed by the parched desert soil and plants, now rises as invisible vapor, seeking refuge in the frigid heights above.

As the invisible vapor ascends, it encounters more relaxed air, acting as a catalyst for change. The moisture begins to condense, transforming from an ephemeral gas into tiny water droplets suspended in the air. These minuscule droplets dance and swirl, carried by gentle breezes that traverse the desert night.

But the transformation does not end there. The water droplets undergo a magnificent metamorphosis as the temperature continues to plummet. The cold air wraps its icy embrace around the droplets, coaxing them into a solid state. Each droplet surrenders to the chill, freezing into delicate crystals of ice.

Putting science aside, Terry arrived at the enemy’s camp and could see from a distance that things had gotten quiet. Still, there were a bunch of campfires around that were being guarded by sentinels as well. Ambushing them would be hard since they seemed wide awake.

His eyes, sharp and focused, scanned the perimeter, analyzing the fortifications and the positioning of sentries. His mind calculated the potential vulnerabilities, seeking the chink in the enemy’s armor. This weak spot could be exploited to turn the tide in their favor.

Silently, Terry moved through the shadows, his footsteps careful and deliberate. His movements were fluid, blending seamlessly with the darkness as if he were a phantom traversing the night.

The enemies looked as nervous as they could be since that never happened to them... the open field around them mainly worked as a good way to detect enemies, but now it was being used against them. Their shock was only natural...
