Evelyn all alone in the room sat up on the bed, taking off the black blazer clinging tightly to her heated arms, her mind spiraling under the effects of whatever drug was coursing through her veins. Her body betrayed her, pulses of warmth spreading across her every nerve. Her heart raced like a wild horse, flooding her senses with an insatiable need. She stumbled slightly, gripping the nearby nightstand to steady herself, her breath shallow and uneven.

Her thoughts wavered between confusion and dread. What happened? she wondered. What the hell was happening to her?! She raked her fingers through her hair, trying to focus and find clarity in the fog consuming her mind. Sweat beaded on her forehead, her skin flushed with an unnatural heat. Everything felt wrong! Someone surely trapped her!

With trembling hands, Evelyn crawled to the edge of the bed, her vision hazy and unfocused. The room spun around her, colors blurring into shapes that barely made sense. She spotted a glass pitcher sitting on the small table in the corner of the room and pushed herself off the bed. Her legs wobbled as she staggered towards it, each step more unsteady than the last.

Reaching the table, Evelyn picked it up, her fingers fumbling to grasp the glass. She filled it with water, droplets splashing over her trembling hands. But just as she raised it to her lips, the door creaked open.

Evelyn blinked, her vision distorting even further as she struggled to focus on the figure stepping inside. She squinted, confusion clouding in her eyes. The heat in her body only intensified, making it hard to think straight.

"Zev... Zevian?" she called out softly, her voice hoarse with desperation. Her throat was parched, her mouth dry from the intensity of the drug.

"Evelyn," a familiar voice replied, but it wasn’t Zevian.

Evelyn’s gaze cleared just enough as the man walked over to her and stood in front of her. It was Vincent! A shiver ran down her body as his hand tried to grab her, his gaze roaming over her. She swayed where she stood, the glass slipping from her hands and shattering on the floor.

Without warning, Vincent closed the distance between them, his hands grabbing her arms with a force that sent jolts of electricity through her. Evelyn’s heart pounded in her chest as she struggled to make sense of what was happening. She tried to pull away, but her body was too weak to fight him.

"Vincent!" she screamed, panic rising in her chest. "Get away from me!"

Her words seemed to fall on deaf ears. Vincent’s grip tightened, and he pushed her further back, slamming her against the wall. Evelyn gasped as the impact knocked the wind out of her, her body trembling under the pressure of his hands. She tried to push Vincent away, her hands weakly pressing against his chest, but the drug had sapped her strength.

Vincent leaned in closer, his breath hot against her neck. "I missed you so much," he whispered, his voice dripping with desire. His eyes roved over her form, taking in the single-strapped black sequin dress that clung to her curves, showing her delicate neck. It ended just above her knees, shimmering in the dim light that only fueled his growing hunger.

Evelyn struggled beneath him, her mind swimming in a haze of confusion and fear. "No... stop!" She pleaded, but her voice was weak, barely a whisper. Her body ached for release, but her heart recoiled in horror at what was happening. She knew this wasn’t right! She knew this wasn’t what she wanted. Not the man that was meant to be here with her!

Vincent’s hand moved to her chin, gripping it tightly to stop her head from wobbling. He tilted her face up to meet his gaze, his eyes locked on hers as he leaned in, his lips hovering just inches away from her own. Evelyn’s heart raced, and she pressed her lips tightly, her hands still feebly pressing against his chest in an attempt to push him away.

But before he could kiss her, a loud noise echoed through the room, shattering the tension. The next moment, Vincent was ripped away from her with such force that Evelyn stumbled, collapsing against the nearby desk. She clutched the edge, panting heavily, her body shaking with both relief and the remnants of the drug’s hold on her.

Zevian stood there, his expression a mask of fury as he yanked Vincent back by the collar and threw him to the ground. Evelyn gasped, her breath still labored as she leaned against the desk, trying to steady herself. Her vision blurred once again, but this time from the relief of what had just happened.

"You bastard!" Zevian roared, his fists clenching tightly. His midnight eyes were wild with rage, a storm brewing in their depths as he glared down at the man who had dared to touch Evelyn.

Before Vincent could even react, Zevian punched him in the face, the sound reverberating through the room. Blood spurted from Vincent’s nose, but Zevian wasn’t done. He grabbed Vincent by the shirt, pulling him up only to strike him again, this time with even more force. The crack of bone and the splatter of blood filled the room as Zevian was hellbent sending him straight to hell!

But before he could land another blow, Damien rushed in, grabbing Zevian and pulling him back. "Enough!" Damien shouted, his voice firm. "Take care of Evelyn. I’ll deal with this."

Zevian’s chest heaved with fury, his fists still clenched as he glared down at Vincent, who was now slumped against the wall, blood dripping from his nose and mouth. But Damien’s words reached him, and he forced himself to take a step back, his hands shaking with the effort of restraining himself.

Damien and John quickly grabbed Vincent, dragging him out of the room as Zevian turned his attention back to Evelyn. His heart clenched at the sight of her—she was still slumped against the desk, her body trembling weakly. Her hand reached out, clutching his shirt tightly as she leaned into him, intoxicated by his scent, by the comfort of his presence.

Her eyes roamed over his face, her breath coming out in hot, shallow pants. "Zev..." she whispered, her fingers tracing the lines of his chest through his shirt. She felt like she was burning up from the inside out, and Zevian’s touch was the only thing that could soothe the fire raging inside her.

Zevian’s brow furrowed as he checked her temperature, his hand pressing against her forehead. Realization dawned on him as he pieced it together—the heat, the way her body was reacting. She had been drugged! He needed to cool her down, fast.

Without wasting another second, Zevian scooped her up into his arms and carried her towards the bathroom. He set her down gently in the tub, filling it with cold water. Evelyn gasped as the coolness washed over her, her body shuddering from the sudden change in temperature.

"Just breathe," Zevian whispered, his hands holding her steady in the water. "You’re going to be okay, Eva. I’m here."

Evelyn closed her eyes, leaning back against the tub as the cold water helped to dull the fire in her veins. But even in the coolness of the water, her desire for Zevian only seemed to grow stronger. Her fingers twitched, and she reached out, grabbing his hand as she felt him getting up.
