The morning sun filtered through the sheer curtains, casting a soft, golden glow across the room. Evelyn slowly stirred awake and nuzzled closer to the warm body beside her.

As her eyes fluttered open, they fell upon her handsome husband, Zevian, sleeping peacefully beside her. His dark hair was tousled, and his face was relaxed, a picture of tranquility.

Evelyn’s heart swelled with love and gratitude as she recalled the events of the previous night. Their ride along the moonlit beach, the laughter and conversations at the bar, and the feeling of being utterly content in each other’s company. After everything they had been through, it felt necessary and healing to spend such a beautiful evening together.

Evelyn leaned closer and pressed a sweet kiss to Zevian’s lips. He stirred, his eyes slowly opening to meet hers. A sleepy smile spread across his face and he pulled her closer, their bodies fitting together perfectly. They snuggled, savoring the warmth and intimacy of the moment.

"Don’t you have to go to the office?" Evelyn asked with a cheeky smile, glancing at the clock. The sun was already up, and as much as she would love to stay here, cuddling with him all day, he would be late.

Zevian shook his head and murmured, "Let’s stay for a while."

Evelyn gingerly nodded and hugged him tighter. "When did we get home last night? I don’t remember anything."

"Quite late," Zevian replied. Looking down at her, he added, "And I am never letting you drink again."

He thought a few drinks would be fine, considering she needed it to wash away all her stress, but it had only backfired. She had been totally drunk, behaving worse than Kiana, and it was hard to get her back home. Luckily, Avery had driven and helped him out.

Evelyn laughed out loud. Leaning closer, she kissed his lips again and murmured, "Sorry. I will drink more next time."

"More?" Zevian murmured, his eyes widening at her teasing.

Holding back her laugh, Evelyn nodded and replied, "Yes! It’s fun to tease you."

"Huh! Huh!" Zevian nodded, and in one swift motion, he was hovering over her. "Then it’s only fair if I have fun too," he replied, his voice sultry and his eyes glinting with mischief.

Evelyn felt heat rush to her cheeks, and her heart raced. As Zevian leaned closer, she closed her eyes, waiting for the kiss.

Zevian smirked at her anticipation and deliberately took his own sweet time. When she pouted, waiting for the kiss, he smiled and finally pressed his lips to hers. Evelyn wrapped her arms around him, her fingers moving through his hair. His lips nibbled her gently, biting and teasing, making her entire body burn with desire. But before she could completely lose herself, Zevian suddenly pulled back.

Evelyn’s eyes fluttered open in confusion to see him smirking at her. She scowled, realizing he was now playing with her.

"Hmm. It was really fun teasing you," Zevian replied, wiping her lower lip, which was wet and still burning from his kisses.

"Jerk!" Evelyn grumbled and pushed him aside. Zevian laughed out loud as she rolled over and picked up her phone, ignoring him. Satisfied, he walked to the bathroom, and Evelyn stared at his back.

Evelyn stared at her phone, her thoughts wandering back to the night before. She had been so carefree—perhaps too much. The vivid image of Zevian guiding her drunken self flashed in her mind, his voice both amused and exasperated as she slurred nonsensical words.

"Come on, Evelyn," he’d said, taking out his hand as she had climbed over the table.

"Noooo," she had whined dramatically, clinging to him like a lifeline. "Carry me, Zevy!"

A chuckle left her lips as memories flooded back. She felt bad for him but he had paid her back too, just now by teasing her torturously!

As her thoughts trailed off, a mischievous idea sparked in her mind, lighting up her face with a smirk. Tossing her phone aside, she slid off the bed, her bare feet padding softly against the wooden floor as she made her way to the bathroom door. She hesitated for a moment, her hand resting on the cool handle, before pushing it open and stepping inside.

The sound of the shower greeted her, a gentle rhythm of water cascading against tiles. Evelyn’s eyes immediately sought him out, glinting in amusement.

There he was, standing under the spray with his back turned to her. The glass partition was blurred, teasingly concealing his lower half, but his broad shoulders and well-defined back were on full display.

"What are you doing here?" he asked, his voice rich and teasing as if already guessing her answer.

Evelyn leaned casually against the basin’s edge, crossing her arms and her lips curled into a playful grin. "Enjoying the view," she replied, her tone unapologetically bold.

Zevian’s laughter echoed through the space, warm and genuine. Shaking his head, he turned back to face the showerhead, letting the water beat against his body. "Enjoy to your fullest, Mrs. Reign," he said, humor lacing his words.

Evelyn’s grin widened, her heart racing as her nerves threatened to creep in. "But what if I have plans to do more than just enjoy, Mr. Reign?" she countered, her voice soft yet teasing.
