"Let’s move her quickly!" The doctor urged, looking at his team who took charge of Gracia. Damien slowly laid her flat on the ground as per the request, while Ronan through his earpiece ordered to get the stretcher.

"She has some fractures too." The doctor added, examining her wounds and bruises. It seemed like she was beaten to a pulp and it enraged the mafia princes even more. Lobo organization would be for it, but right now they needed to make sure she was taken out safely.

"I want her alive, doc! At all cost!" Damien ordered to his team, his voice tinged with slight worry.

"W-we will try our best, Boss!" The doctor replied, quickly taking out the samples of poison. His assistants made sure to do the other job, putting all their efforts into keeping Gracia breathing. As long as they had her pulse, it was still possible to bring her out of the death’s door.

Soon Jimmy rushed inside with two men carrying a stretcher. "Everything is clear outside, Boss. We have taken full control of the ship!" He declared, his voice tinged with a slight pride. Fighting Lobos was never easy but with both Valenti and Igor organizations men, they reduced them to dust in a mere hour.

Damien nodded, a small smile spreading across his face. "Good." He patted Jimmy’s shoulder and gave his next order, "Call Derek and ask about the hospital!"

"Yes, boss!" Jimmy nodded and tried to connect with Derek with the earpiece. He quickly informed them they had found Gracia and instead of searching for her, he should be moving forces to the trusted hospital to make sure everything was tight and impossible for the Lobos to attack again.

"We are moving her!" The doctor declared as the two guards carefully put Gracia on the stretcher. Damien and Ronan gave them the way, while Jimmy rushed forward to one of the helicopters down.

Damien sighed softly as they left, taking out his phone to inform Zevian. Gracia’s condition was still worse but Evelyn would be a little less worried knowing they had finally found her. Talking with them and asking Rita to connect with Derek, he quickly rushed out with Ronan.

The ship was under their control now and once the helicopter left, Damien and Ronan took charge of it. They forced the sailor to return back to the port to make sure no one who was remaining on the ship was able to escape. They needed them for further investigation and to find out who was behind all of it with proof.

"I guess it’s Maverick," Ronan murmured, having heard that man’s connection with Sophia in this mess. Only he had connections across the world and Lobo usually hired him for illegal works in Arabia.

"We need to locate him quickly," Damien replied, agreeing with his thoughts. But it was harder since he sneaked like a rat in the shadows, getting on their team’s nerves who had been trying to hunt him for a few weeks in Arabia now.

Evelyn rushed inside along with Zevian, Rita closely following behind. John had stayed behind with Kiana at home, who was assured to be brought here once Gracia woke up.

"Where is she?" Rita asked Derek who shook his head, dreading Evelyn even more.

"They haven’t arrived yet," Derek replied in English, making Rita sigh out in tension.

Zevian held Evelyn closely who was trembling like a kitten looking out for its mother on a winter night. She rested her head against his arm, biting inside her cheek, all their eyes fixed on the entrance.

Derek heard Jimmy speak from the earpiece and replied, "Yes! Everything’s clear here!" They had taken control of the entire hospital, making sure the highest tier, privileged VIP wards were all booked so no one could easily trespass as long as Gracia needed to recover here.

After ending the call, he turned to the trio and informed them, "They have arrived! Please wait here!" With that, he rushed into the elevator and pressed the terrace button.

Evelyn held her breath, her heart beating loudly as she impatiently waited for her mother. Tears formed in the corner of her eyes, ready to stream down at just one glance at her. Zevian held her tightly while Rita stayed closer, feeling the moment equally emotional.

Soon, Gracia was rushed on a stretcher, doctors and experts covered all over, making it hard for Evelyn to get a look at her. They stopped by the door of the operation theater at the main doctor’s order, feeling their family waiting for the patient. The hospital staff gave a small way and Evelyn stepped forward, her heart now in her throat.

"Mom..." Evelyn called out, tears trickling as her eyes caught Gracia’s weak body. Her heart clenched tightly, making it hard to breathe as she took her weak, broken form. Blood had dried on her wounds, her face was covered in scratches, dirt, and dried blood from the bruises. Something was dripping out of her mouth which the doctors monitored with a device.

"Wh... what happened to her?" Evelyn asked the doctors, her voice coming out in soft cries. Luckily, they had covered Gracia’s entire body, if not she would have passed out at the marks of torture she had gone through, now battling to stay alive.

"We will try our best," The doctor tried to assure her, gesturing his team to move quickly.

Evelyn was gently pushed back, the team covering around Gracia again and pushing her into the OT. Zevian held her, wrapping his arm around her shoulder as she stared blankly at the door, her hand still mid-air that had risen to touch her mother once.

"Sh... she looks terrible, Ian." Evelyn cried out, her mind flooding with negative thoughts. As much as she tried to push them away, it was impossible as Gracia’s weak form stuck in her eyes, deeply etching a wound in her heart.

"They will try their best," Zevian tried to assure her, and even Rita gently held her hand, holding back her own tears.

Evelyn nodded but her heart didn’t stop rummaging against her chest. Zevian helped her sit on the bench opposite them, while Rita rushed to get some water. Derek and his team closely monitored the area, patiently waiting for their bosses to arrive.

A few frustrating hours passed and Evelyn didn’t budge from her seat in front of the OT. The doctors, nurses, and assistants kept rushing in and out, their tensed expressions barely easing her worries. She looked at the timer screen beside the doors, her mother’s name written in Spanish that trickled her tears. She hoped, prayed, and pleaded to the heavens to not snatch Gracia away again. After giving them another chance, they couldn’t take her away for real this time.

Soon, Damien and Ronna rushed in, their expressions a mix of panic and relief. Jimmy joined Derek to guard, his senior proudly patting his shoulder for taking charge of such a critical mission.

"What did they say?" Damien asked Rita who shook her head.

Ronan sighed and looked at Evelyn, blankly staring at the doors, tears gluing to her cheeks. They all collectively hoped for Gracia to fight through this battle. If she failed, Evelyn would be broken into pieces again, this time beyond repair.

A few more hours passed and finally, the doctor came out, taking out his head cap. Everyone rushed forward, Evelyn barely able to stand that Zevian supported her quickly.

"She is out of danger!" The doctor informed, making everyone exhale out loud. "Your doctors had made sure to remove half of the poison, and you brought her right in time." He added with a small smile.

"Her fractures aren’t that bad but we need to wait and watch. She is still in a critical condition." 𝒻𝘳ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝒷𝘯ℴ𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝑐ℴ𝑚

"Thank you so much, doctor." Evelyn didn’t wait for the doctor to finish and rushed to him, hugging him tightly. The elder man was startled by her reaction but with a small smile, he patted her shoulder in reassurance.

Everyone else smiled slightly, happy at the news. Zevian heaved a soft sigh, his tension melting away to see Evelyn relieved.

"Once she wakes up, we will let you see her. You need to wait until then," The doctor said to Evelyn who nodded and pulled away. With a curt nod, he walked away.

Evelyn turned around and moved to Zevian who instantly pulled her in a hug. She rested her head on his chest, snuggling closely with her hands wrapped tight around him. Tears of relief trickled down her eyes, her heart now racing in joy. Her mother was alive! She was fine and that’s all that mattered to her.

"No one can stop us now!" Rita murmured with a huff. With a fire burning in her eyes, she added, "Sophia will get the biggest surprise of her life! I can’t wait to see her expression when Ma’am steps all over."

"It will be Mom doing the dead," Evelyn replied with a determined look. Gracia went through a hell worse than her because of that evil wench and she deserved to do it herself. And no one was going to stop them from bringing her down.
