"Find me the best flower shop and get a bunch of lilies!" Zevian said with a smirk, his demand confusing Brandon.

"Are you planning to propose too, sir?" Brandon asked with a frown.

Zevian nodded, planning to actually propose to this idiot, Igor, and not Eva. During his tea time, he had heard in the morning how Avery rushed out of the house, grumbling that their most prestigious client was allergic to lilies, and asked her assistant to get another bouquet. And he would be presenting the same to him!

The lift took a little time to open, indicating someone was using it. But as it slowly opened, Zevian caught a familiar figure inside. Even Brandon quickly recognized the woman standing beside their lounge staff.

Zevian’s surprise was evident as Evelyn looked up and met his eyes. A bright smile lit her face upon seeing him, and she waved at him happily.

"Are you going somewhere?" Evelyn asked, reaching them. Looking at the way he was all dressed, she was a little worried about actually postponing their shopping. She was just teasing him last night to surprise him and enjoy this cute expression on his face, and she had no thoughts of postponing their first-ever outing together after six long years.

"Yes, we were heading to the airport, ma’am. The boss caught you." Brandon immediately shut his mouth, feeling his boss glaring at him.

"Airport?" Evelyn asked in confusion, a little smile spreading on her lips, guessing why he was heading to the airport.

"What brings you here?" Zevian asked, reaching out to her. His hand casually reached out to adjust her bangs, his soft voice and actions causing Evelyn’s heart to flutter.

Even the female staff and Brandon pressed their lips together. So, he knew exactly who could save his life if this devil was on the verge of devouring it. Brandon thought, making a mental note to win Evelyn’s favor quickly.

Steadying herself, Evelyn replied with a cheeky smile, "Well, I promised somebody to take them shopping. I cannot go back on it now."

Zevian smiled, realizing she was just teasing him last night. A thrill rushed through his, excited and extremely happy, that was quite visible in his eyes. Holding her hand, he said, "Let’s go then."

"But sir! You have some important documents to sign!" Brandon quickly blurted it out, unwilling to let go of such a great opportunity. Every document he had thrown away since morning was the perfect time to get done, all thanks to the angel standing beside his boss.

"I will do it later," Zevian grumbled, glaring daggers at his assistant.

"No!" But Evelyn was quick to rescue Brandon. Looking up at him, she continued, "Let’s finish it first."

Zevian glared at his assistant, now shrunken into a puppy. Sighing out loud, he nodded. "Get them! I will do it in the car."

Brandon celebrated his victory by raising his clenched fist and quickly gesturing to one of the staff to get them. Once everything was delivered, he guided the couple into the lift with a smile.

Zevian scowled at Brandon’s back, who happily pressed the button. But his expression softened as Evelyn glanced up at him, smiling as their eyes met. This was her first time visiting his office, and he felt happy about his jealousy earlier quickly washing over.

"So, why were you going to the airport?" Evelyn decided to poke him lightly; sure, it was because of Mr. Igor.

"Well, sir, I saw that client proposing to you in the airport and got angry, ma’am." Brandon was quick to reply, earning another glare from Zevian.

"Proposing?" Evelyn frowned in confusion. When Brandon quickly opened his tablet and showed the scene, she burst into laughter.

"He was asking me to hold the bouquet to tie his shoelace," Evelyn stated, zooming in to show how Mr. Igor’s shoelace was opened up, and he requested that she hold the bouquet for a while.

Zevian leaned in to inspect it properly, but his anger didn’t dissipate! There was a whole bunch of his and AWE Interior’s staff, and out of everyone, he asked her to hold the bouquet! He could read through this man’s intentions clearly!

"So you sent someone to spy on me?" Evelyn asked teasingly, pulling out an upset face to tease him.

"My wife has quite a lot of admirers, so I had to keep an eye." Zevian calmly replied, his address making Evelyn lightly blush. If she was right, this was the first time he had ever addressed her as his wife, and it burst firecrackers in her heart.

They soon left the company, with John obviously being their driver, and Zevian finished signing the documents, which Brandon passed him one by one while sitting in the shotgun seat.

As they reached the huge fashion boutique, Zevian finished signing the last document. Brandon took it with a grin and turned to Evelyn. "Thank you, ma’am! Have a great day ahead." He said, bowing to them before one of the company cars came to pick him up.

Evelyn waved as Brandon exited, while Zevian sighed, happy to not have a third wheel tailing him around. He looked at John and ordered, "Wait here!"

John nodded, confident Evelyn didn’t need his protection when his boss was with her.

With a smile, Evelyn grabbed Zevian’s hand and said, "Let’s go!" Her excitement was visible, which brought a smile to Zevian’s face as she led him into the shop.

"Wel-welcome, Mr. Reign." The manager, who was surprised to see him, quickly approached them. With a huge smile, he continued, "We are honored to have you."

Zevian acknowledged the staff’s enthusiasm with a nod, while Evelyn greeted them with a smile.

"We just launched a spring collection, covering all styles of dresses. I am sure Mrs. Reign would like them too. Should I get them, sir?" The manager excitedly asked, guessing this tycoon was here to win his wife’s heart by buying expensive clothes. That’s what usually happens here in the trendiest boutique that all elites love to visit often.

"No, we are actually here to buy a few shirts for him," Evelyn replied, smiling at Zevian.

Everyone around them was surprised at her words; the manager was not expecting such a surprise. Didn’t this man wear only tailored clothes? Everything he wore was designed by the world’s best designer, only specifically for him.

"Oh, that’s great! We do have a new collection that would go well alone and also fits well with all kinds of suits. Let me show you this way, please." The manager said he was thrilled to receive a huge bonus today. Whatever Zevian Reign would do, today they needed to increase its stock as it might go viral in a day or two when he wears it.

"Do you always come here?" Zevian asked, as the staff seemed to be kind to her. They even knew her tea preferences, and Evelyn nodded with a smile.

"They might be a little expensive, but their outfits are comfortable, so I often shop here," Evelyn said as they sat up on one of the couches in the men’s section.

The manager quickly bought three rails of shirts, and Evelyn’s eyes lit up seeing the colors. There were a few color block versions—the white and black mixup—catching her eye. She got up and picked a few, each of different styles and colors.

"Let’s try these first!" She declared this, turning around and smiling at her husband.

Zevian nodded, and, placing down his teacup, he took the shirts from her hand and walked to the dressing room. The manager and the staff helping them left after bowing to her, giving the couple some privacy.

Evelyn happily sipped her tea, and a smile spread across her face, excited to see Zevian. She patiently waited, but her peace was soon disrupted when she heard a familiar voice.

"No, Vin! I think I saw her going towards the men’s section!" Annabelle’s voice echoed outside, with the manager trying to stop her.

"God!" Evelyn grumbled, placing her teacup down. This woman was doing her job perfectly and ruining her life!

She anxiously looked around, feeling them approaching their area. Her eyes fixed on the dressing room, and without thinking even for a second, she darted inside it.

Zevian frowned upon hearing the curtains open and turned around to find his wife stepping into the small room.

"What’s-"

Evelyn closed the gap between them and placed a finger on his lip, stopping him midway. She nervously glanced behind, not realizing that she had pushed Zevian to the wall behind and that he was shirtless!

"There’s no one here, Anna." Vincent’s exasperated voice was heard from the outside.

"No, Vin! I really saw Evy here." Annabelle replied, her eyes fixed on the dressing room with the black curtains.

"Shit!" Evelyn cursed under her breath, feeling her walk toward them.

Zevian slowly removed her finger from his mouth and asked, "Why? Are you afraid of meeting them?"

Evelyn scoffed softly. "Afraid? I just don’t want them to ruin our date." She blurted out, glancing behind.

Zevian’s lips curled into a smile, his hand holding hers gently. "Date?" He asked, raising an eyebrow.

Evelyn’s brows shot up in realization. Heat crept to her cheeks, not by what she said but by sensing that he was shirtless! And she was almost clinging to him. But she didn’t get the chance to speak, as they felt Annabelle approaching them.

"This woman-"

Evelyn’s words caught in her mouth, her eyes widening in shock as Zevian swiftly turned her around. Her back hit the wall with a small thud, and her hand locked with his that he pressed beside her head. Before she could even think about what happened, he leaned closer, closing the gap between their faces, and captured her lips.
