Uriel frowned as he stared at the barricade of soldiers before him.

They had been denied entry. Both he, Elaine, and Jack were unnerved by this.

If this was any other situation, they would have left and not even bothered to escalate things, but...

Uriel’s eyes flashed. He could sense Seth and Brandon’s aura. Without a doubt, those two had to be involved with the phenomenon that just occurred.

Naturally, they couldn’t leave their teammates. His eyes flashed cold.

As he repeated, "Let us in!" he spoke, moving forward.

But he was replied to with sharp clicks of guns cocking his way. The cold in his eyes deepened.

And just as he was about to make his move, a figure walked out of the barricade — someone of notable status, seeing that the unmoving army blocks of soldiers gave way, saluting on her passage.

It was a female, quite young, potentially in her late twenties. She waved her hands, gesturing for the men to stand down.

Only then did the army men’s grip on their weapons loosen as they lowered their guns.

"I’m sorry for the rude welcoming. You see, my men were just following orders."

Uriel didn’t respond. Instead, he voiced the same phrase, holding the same cold intensity in his voice. "Let us in!"

This time he added, "Or we will let ourselves in!"

The atmosphere went tense, as all three teammates’ aura bore heavily on the air, causing the soldiers to tremble unconsciously.

The lady’s eyes flashed, as though contemplating something unreadable. Then suddenly, a smile broke on her face. "Sure."

She glanced over her shoulders. "What are you guys waiting for? Give way for Apex!"

Only on hearing this order did the soldiers part ways for Uriel and the other two.

Uriel wasn’t in the mood to indulge in idle chatter. Leading the two, he walked into the Dome, his will rippling out to scan the building.

As they walked into the distance, the female soldier stared at their receding backs, the smile in her eyes fading into cold lights.

"Such dangerous individuals shouldn’t be left unchecked. Mr. President is wrong... these guys are too dangerous," she muttered, her hands twitching.

Evidently, she didn’t take the threat quite well. But until the day the military regained dominance over these teenagers, she could only remain submissive.

Well, she doubted her direct superior, Major Grant Wells, would cave to the Apex though.

Thinking to this point, worry flashed in her eyes. But in the end, she sighed, leaving orders for her men before returning right back to her temporary post.

In truth, unlike the impression given by the government through the president, not all officials looked fondly upon Seth and the others — the so-called Apex.

Especially the majority of the higher-ups in the army. Though Secretary of Defense Sir Billard Dorn actually agreed with the president’s stance, it didn’t change the notion of the others.

No one liked factors beyond their control, and the Apex was exactly that.

A factor neither the military nor government could control. The only reason these teenagers were complying now was merely because they wanted to.

Aside from two among the Apex, the remaining three weren’t even affiliated with the government. If they decided to rebel?

After all, no matter what, the private families couldn’t be trusted.

Hence why not all held the same enthusiasm when faced with the force known as Apex.

If not for the intimidation of the power the Apex held, and the fact that they had the president on their side, most would have voted in contingencies.

After all, the Apex weren’t the only Awakeneds around...

Back in what was left of Kylie’s workshop...

Seth’s brows raised at the man’s words. "Well, that’s new."

The Major’s eyes flashed coldly. "Look, I don’t have time to waste. Give an account of the event that led to the storm, and you can leave."

Seth’s brows creased out of displeasure. But in the end, he was the one at fault, and he was obligated to give a report.

Rude or not as this man was, that duty he had to fulfill.

So he signaled Brandon to calm down, and he began to explain the situation. Naturally, he didn’t go into full explicit details.

But by the time he was done, the soldiers had a vague but solid idea of what happened.

The Major’s eyes scanned the armor pressed on Seth’s body.

Though he tried to hide his astonishment, he failed. To think that a single craft could summon such a phenomenon.

His eyes rose back to meet Seth’s. And to think a single human could quake the earth as so — how strong was this guy?

Major Grant hadn’t seen the true prowess of those ancient figures hiding within the Pentagon, but he still wondered how they’d fare against Seth.

His eyes narrowed, choosing his next words tactically. "Will you be able to submit the armor for review?"

The moment he said those words, his bones rattled as the air went heavy.

Not metaphorically, but literally. The dense wind pressed on his chest, causing him to exhale uncontrollably as a cold wave washed down his spine.

His pupils trembled, his composure cracking, as he realized that the tolerance hidden behind Seth’s gaze was gone.

His soldiers, who were once standing steady in aim, could barely keep their footing any longer.

As the absurd change in gravity pressed on their bones, causing their muscles to tremble from exertion.

The Major gritted his teeth, realizing that he had crossed a line that shouldn’t have been breached. Thinking that Seth would hand over such an item to the military was foolish.

The Major felt anger bubble in his chest. To think he’d be forced into such a state just because of a shift in emotions from a child.

But no matter how unresigned he felt, it didn’t change the fact — these guys were called Apex for a reason.

Fortunately, Elder Ron stepped in just as the situation seemed to be getting worse. "Let’s not get ahead of ourselves now. Seth boy, I’m sure he didn’t mean it that way."

Turning to Major Grant, Elder Ron gave him a deep stare and asked, "Right?"

Face deathly pale as the smothering gravity didn’t let his blood flow right, the Major had to cave. "Right," he croaked through clenched teeth.

The moment he uttered those words, the pressure diffused with the wind, as though it was never there.

Plops rang out as the soldiers collapsed to their knees, breathing raggedly.

Seth’s eyes flickered coldly. "If that will be all, we will be taking our leave."

With that, he walked away, none of the soldiers daring to raise their heads, as Seth led Kylie, her grandfather, along with Brandon away.

His armor disappearing into his inventory before anyone had other thoughts on it.

Major Grant could only stare at Seth’s receding back, his teeth grinding with malice.

"The God Hand?" Kylie asked, noticing Seth left it behind.

Seth glanced at her from the corner of his eyes. "I’m leaving it for you... It isn’t useful for me anyway."

Kylie’s eyes lit up with appreciation. Unable to put it in words, she just nodded gently.

Seth straightened his gaze. ’Now that that’s been sorted out, it’s about time we headed back to the origin realm to get our class.’

Just as he was having this thought, he caught sight of familiar silhouettes looming in the distance. His eyes lit up.
