The six quickly gathered once more. Getting out of here was easy — the president had handed them a beacon device that, once activated, would connect straight to the portal underneath the Pentagon.

Seth was quick to draft it down, in case the 24-hour timer refreshed the content.

From this alone, Seth doubted Trisha’s credibility even less.

His expression grew cold. A war really was coming, and he had to make every preparation he could.
