Seth recalled the information of the oracle crystal. It was said to be an educative equipment used by an ancient civilization to educate their younger generation.

So naturally, the oracle’s explanation made a lot of sense.

And now his conclusion of this little crystal being his most prized possession became even more reinforced.

"What is that?" Uriel couldn’t keep his curiosity in check much longer. He needed to know.

Seth remained in silent pondering for a second. Everyone almost thought he wouldn’t reply, but he did.

"It’s an AI of sorts, a remnant technology of some ancient civilization."

Everyone’s fervent gaze focused back on the crystal bobbing midair.

The next question that practically burned through their minds was to ask how he got it.

Brandon almost did, but in the end he reined his curiosity in.

But that didn’t stop Seth from speaking. "Naturally, if it’s something you guys could get, I would have shared."

Everyone nodded in understanding. After all, that was the main reason Brandon also didn’t share his source.

Or could they be insectoids of sorts... or even reptilian?

Brandon’s mind went wild with imagination.

But he quickly got over it. He would surely meet them in the future...

Seth continued their discussion. "Naturally, we can’t delay our return to the Origin for long. I’m sure you guys must have seen your empty class slots. That is a vital trait that differentiates Awakeners from Shackled creatures."

Which was considerate of her, since every house staff had been temporarily dismissed.

The rest’s eyes lit up at the sound of food, and the enticing aroma drifted in from the door left ajar behind Maya.

Even awakening didn’t curb the need for eating in a biological lifeform.

All those fictional beliefs that getting stronger enabled one to sustain themselves on pure energy alone were unrealistic bullshit.

Though hunger didn’t leave Evolvers as vulnerable as normal humans, they still needed to eat. In fact, it was necessary they ate!

Everyone quickly followed Maya to the dining room, had a feast, then went separate ways after breakfast.
