Xavier and I both whipped our heads around to find ourselves looking into a pair of familiar dark brown eyes that we haven’t seen in a while now.

I arched my brow as we locked eyes from a distance.

"Bryce?" His name left my lips, my voice carrying a hint of surprise as I looked at him. "It’s been a while. What are you doing here? How did you know..." My voice trailed off and he chimed in before I could even complete the sentence.

"That you two are here?" He questioned, amusement dancing in his eyes as he sauntered over towards us, closing the gap between us in a few large strides. I watched as the corners of his lips curled upwards into a smug smile. "I am a private investigator. Of course I know everything," he bragged as a low chuckle emerged from his throat.

A soft laughter escaped my parted lips while a slight smile tugged at the corners of Xavier’s lips.

Bryce turned to meet Xavier’s gaze. "How are you doing?" He asked with concern. "Better?"

"Mhmm..." Xavier replied. "At least I can walk on my own without needing the wheelchair now," he said with a casual shrug like the accident was nothing more than a piece of gum stuck to his shoe.

Bryce smiled. "That’s good to hear."

Silence settled among us for a while before I chimed in this time, Bryce’s words from earlier was stuck in the back of my mind the moment he entered the room.

"So..." I drawled, anticipation hanging on my face as I turned to look at Bryce who was standing before us. "What was it that you were talking about? What is it that we might want to hear?" I questioned, hurling question after question. My eyes were burning with curiosity as I inched closer towards him, keeping my gaze fixated on his face.

"Oh yeah, what was it?" Xavier asked with curiosity too.

I watched as Bryce’s eyes lit up for a moment as he recalled what he wanted to say not too long ago.

"Right, about that," he started off, then slowly, a smirk morphed itself onto his lips as his dark brown eyes gleamed with a knowing look. "How would you like to get some sweet sweet revenge this time?" He asked, wiggling his brows at us.

As soon as those words left his lips, I perked up, suddenly feeling much more energised than before. "What? How?" I asked, excitement laced my voice as I looked up at him like a little kid excited to see the ice cream truck pull up by the park.

The air between us hung with anticipation before his voice sliced through the air like a whip.

"I just saw Blake and Stella walking into a motel together, dressed in disguise." There was a brief pause before he continued as his gaze landed on me. "This is your chance, Aurelia. Don’t you want to see their careers crumble for everything they have done?"

I could feel my heart racing inside my chest as a wave of excitement washed over me in an instant. My eyes lit up and a smile tugged at the corners of my lips as I imagined how the whole situation would turn out.

Bryce was right.

I do want to take my revenge, I do want to see the very career they worked so hard for crumble and collapse in less than a couple of seconds. That’s what I have been working so hard for all these while.

Blake is now a rather successful director while Stella continued to work alongside him in the projects he had been working on. She too, had grown to be a significantly popular actress in the industry, with a rather strong fanbase, people who admired her for her looks and beauty, and maybe her acting skills, though it could need some improvement. But then again, who am I to criticise her acting?

They are practically near the peak of their careers, enjoying the wealth and fame while they continue to keep their on and off relationship a secret. Honestly, it is surprising that they could hide it so well for such a long time. I knew they had been galvanising around and meeting up in secret for a while now, Bryce had captured everything for us, all the evidence that we needed to destroy them and make them lose everything.

"Aurelia?" My name left his lips once again when I didn’t say a thing, his voice breaking me out of my little reverie.

A smirk appeared on my lips this time.

"I do," I answered and my eyes glimmered with a knowing look. I lifted my head and my eyes darted between the both of them. "I do want to see their careers crumble and fall."

Bryce nodded with a smile while the smirk that was plastered across Xavier’s face widened. "That’s what I like to hear."

"Call the police and the paparazzi," I demanded as a serious expression masked my features. "I’m going over to witness their downfall with my own eyes."

The lights in the motel room were dimmed, only a soft yellow glow lighting up the tiny space as the television played in the background even though no one was watching.

Truth to be told, Stella hated coming to the motel, but Blake had convinced her that they didn’t have a choice, that going to hotels would be riskier, and of course it would be even worse if it was at his or her apartment.
