Luo Wu was enraged. Someone had dared to interrupt him at such a critical moment. ’Do they not know the name of Young Master Luo?’

Luo Wu let out a miserable shriek. The piercing sound made everyone in the crowd instinctively clench their legs, a chill running down their spines.

"Scram!"

Spitting out the single, cold word, the young man in white swung his hand. With a loud SMACK, the slap landed instantly on Luo Wu’s face, sending him flying right out of the tavern.

Seeing this, the pupils of the onlookers contracted. They stared at the young man in white before them, their eyes filled with utter disbelief.

"Ye Wushuang!"

The two words once again surfaced from the depths of their memories. This was the infamous figure from the past three years; they would recognize him even if he were reduced to ashes.

The young man in white before them was none other than Ye Wushuang!

This young man, once a widely known piece of trash, had returned. But this time, he was different. He had actually sent Luo Wu, a cultivator at the Body Tempering Tenth Layer, flying with a single slap!

This was no longer the trash they remembered!

Everyone stared, trying to see through Ye Wushuang. But what shocked them even more was that he was like an enigma—completely unfathomable!

’Acknowledge me?’

Ye Wushuang’s brow furrowed and he stopped in his tracks, sneering, "I never expected anyone to acknowledge me. I only saved her because I couldn’t stand to watch. Nothing more!"

With that indifferent statement, Ye Wushuang walked out of the tavern without a second thought. He had only intervened because he couldn’t stand to see a group of men bullying a young woman, that’s all.

’He did things his own way and didn’t need anyone’s acknowledgment!’

Luo Wu, writhing on the ground, watched Ye Wushuang emerge and roared hoarsely, his face a mask of venomous hatred!

At the sight, Ye Wushuang gave him a quiet glance and shook his head. Then he stomped on Luo Wu’s head and departed gracefully, the roars coming to an abrupt halt.

When the crowd came to their senses and looked over, they saw Luo Wu’s head driven deep into the ground. Ye Wushuang had stomped him unconscious.

Everyone’s heart lurched. ’That was vicious!’

Their gazes followed into the distance, where a man and a woman were heading toward the Ye Family estate. The departing figure in white was none other than Ye Wushuang!

"Hmph!"

Seeing this, Ye Hai snorted coldly and withdrew his gaze. He said to Ye Xue, "Xue’er, let’s go. Don’t pay any attention to that piece of trash!"

SLAP!

However, the only response he got was a slap from Ye Xue.

"Xue’er, you hit me?" Ye Hai was stunned speechless, his eyes wide. He stared at Ye Xue in disbelief. The ever-gentle Ye Xue, who would never raise a hand to anyone, had actually struck him.

Ye Xue shouted, venting her frustration. She had been moments away from being humiliated, yet Ye Hai had stood by, too afraid to intervene. It was Ye Wushuang who had stepped forward and saved her.

Without giving Ye Hai another glance, Ye Xue chased after that departing figure in white. She had to tell him that she acknowledged him!

「Before the gates of the Ye Mansion.」

Two black iron lions, each several men tall, stood imposingly with their heads raised and eyes glaring forward. From a distance, they radiated ferocity, dominance, sharpness, and might!

A nine-step staircase of white marble descended from between the two black iron lions, leading straight to a great vermilion gate which, as if having weathered endless storms, remained tall and unmoving.

"Let’s go in." Ye Rou looked at the quietly standing young man, her gentle gaze filled with a trace of pity. ’Beyond this gate, besides Father and me, no one acknowledges him!’

"Let’s go," Ye Wushuang said, pulling back his gaze and striding through the main gate.

"Greetings, Sister Rou!" Along the path, the Ye Family disciples they met all greeted Ye Rou. But they *only* greeted Ye Rou; Ye Wushuang, standing right beside her, was completely ignored.

In their eyes, they only saw one person: Ye Rou, the great young miss of the Ye Family!

"You all..." Ye Rou began, about to erupt in anger.

But Ye Wushuang simply smiled. "Sister, forget it. Let’s go see Father first."

With that, the two of them headed for the study.

At that moment in the study, a burly, middle-aged man stood with his back to the door, smiling as he held a painting.

On the threshold, Ye Wushuang paused for a moment, his gaze fixed on that burly figure and the painting. The person in the portrait was himself at the age of ten; his father had painted it for him personally.

To this day, he still remembered that this painting had been created with the mixed blood of him and his father, Ye Xuan.

"Shuang’er, though you are not my flesh and blood, I have always treated you as my own son. Today, by using our blood to create this painting, we will forever share a bond of blood!"

Those gentle words still echoed in Ye Wushuang’s mind, as clear as if they had just been spoken!

Ye Wushuang strode in and immediately fell to his knees. Ye Rou knelt beside him.

Hearing the voice, Ye Xuan spun around. The moment he saw the two figures, he set down the painting, an emotional smile breaking out on his face.

"As long as you’re back, that’s all that matters! Quick, get up!"

Ye Xuan hurried forward and pulled them both to their feet.

"You’ve gotten much stronger, my boy. Good!"

As he pulled Ye Wushuang up, Ye Xuan squeezed his shoulders and laughed heartily. "This time, Dad isn’t going to some clan meeting. I’m going to spend some proper time with you!"

"Dad, why aren’t you going to the clan meeting?" Ye Rou asked, confused. ’As the Patriarch, his attendance is mandatory!’

Hearing this, Ye Wushuang’s gaze shifted to him as well.

Ye Xuan chuckled. "The clan meeting has soured. It’s turned into a scheme to strip me of my position as Patriarch. I might as well not go."

’Depose the Patriarch!’

Ye Xuan was stunned, sensing the powerful aura that had suddenly erupted from Ye Wushuang.

"Dad, Xiaoshuang... he’s already at the Qi Vortex Fourth Level!"

Ye Rou clenched her delicate fists and proceeded to recount everything that had happened during the past year at the Ancient Spirit Sect.

Ye Xuan listened in silence until the very end, at which point he said "Good!" several times in a row, his face filled with pride.

"Since that’s the case, then your father will raise some hell with you!"

Ye Xuan clenched his fist.

"Let’s put this matter aside for a moment," Ye Xuan finally said after a while. "Today, I’m going to cook for you two myself and make a table full of your favorite dishes."

But at that moment, a shout suddenly rang out from outside the door: "Patriarch, the Luo Family is at our door!"

Ye Xuan’s expression darkened. He glanced at Ye Wushuang and Ye Rou, then strode out the door.
