In the canyon, the crowd was still reeling.

Ye Wushuang’s savage assault was a visceral shock. His desperate, life-or-death fighting style defied everything they thought they knew.

It was a long moment before the crowd finally snapped out of their stupor.

Their eyes turned to the Land of Yin Spirit. Gritting their teeth, they charged in after him.

Xiang Tianxiao was the first to react, charging through the canyon and into the Land of Yin Spirit. Right behind him, the crowd of Loose Cultivators and the Disciples of the Celestial Sword Sect all followed suit.

Within the Land of Yin Spirit, Demon Clouds blotted out the sky. A sinister, ghostly aura filled the air as an eerie wind whispered through the desolation, making it feel like a corner of hell on earth.

Dead, decaying trees lay scattered about, many half-buried under broken branches and withered leaves. After years of settling, the whole place gave off a pungent, rotting stench.

Luu Yifei dragged his mangled body through the area, constantly coughing up blood. A gruesome, gaping wound stretched across his chest, like a coiled blood serpent, weeping blood without end.

This was the result of Ye Wushuang’s killing blow, which had gravely injured him. If he hadn’t reacted so quickly, he would have been sliced in two.

In truth, with his level of strength, he never should have ended up in such a wretched state; even Ye Wushuang shouldn’t have been a match for him.

But he had lost all the same.

"Ye Wushuang, this is the Land of Yin Spirit! If you keep chasing me, neither of us will make it out alive!" Liuu Yifei’s roar echoed from up ahead.

Ye Wushuang could feel the dangers lurking in this region as well, but he’d already come this far. ’If I don’t kill Liuu Yifei,’ he thought, ’then this was all for nothing.’

Ye Wushuang pushed his speed even further, pouring energy into his Floating Light and Shadow technique until his feet nearly sparked as they cut through the air.

As Ye Wushuang’s power grew, the Floating Light and Shadow technique was becoming less and less effective, offering little boost to his overall speed.

Even so, Ye Wushuang was still incredibly fast. Combined with the fact that Liuu Yifei was severely injured, he quickly closed the distance.

A flash of blood-red saber light tore through the eerie wind, cutting through the air toward its target.

Luu Yifei’s expression changed. He mobilized his True Essence, reinforcing his body as he hastily dodged aside.

The crimson saber light missed, slamming into the ground. The earth trembled as a massive trench was carved into it, sending countless rotted branches and dead leaves flying and clearing a path.

Ye Wushuang shot through the new opening in an instant, further closing the distance with Liuu Yifei.

Luu Yifei’s flight brought him to the edge of a cliff. His momentum almost carried him over, but he managed to skid to a halt just in time, narrowly cheating death.

Below the cliff lay a massive abyss where Ghostly Killing Qi raged, howling and shrieking like the lament of vengeful spirits. The piercing sound was bone-chilling.

That Ghostly Killing Qi was anathema to Cultivators. If it invaded the body, it would destroy a person’s physical functions; even an expert at the Spiritual Spring Realm would be in mortal danger.

Luu Yifei was scared out of his wits and scrambled back from the edge.

But Ye Wushuang’s figure was already standing opposite him, watching him with cold indifference.

Coughing up blood, Liuu Yifei said with a grim expression, "Ye Wushuang, if you kill me, the Celestial Sword Sect will not let you go."

"And here I thought you were a genius. I’m surprised to hear such an idiotic threat come from you," Ye Wushuang said coldly. ’If the Celestial Sword Sect won’t let me go, then I’ll just have to wipe them from existence.’

"So you’re dead set on killing me?" Liuu Yifei stared icily at Ye Wushuang. He was grievously wounded; if Ye Wushuang wanted to kill him now, he was utterly powerless to resist.

"Looks like that fight knocked your intelligence down a few pegs," Ye Wushuang mocked. "You were determined to kill me, to see me dead. Did you really expect me to spare you?"

Done with words, Ye Wushuang sharply raised the Dragon Blood Battle Saber in his hand.

"Ye Wushuang, if you dare kill Senior Brother Liuu, the Celestial Sword Sect will hunt you to the ends of the earth!" one of the pursuing disciples roared, his face paling as he saw Ye Wushuang’s movement.

But Ye Wushuang didn’t stop.

"Ye Wushuang, Senior Brother Liuu is the son of our Celestial Sword Sect’s Sect Master! If you dare to kill him, prepare to face the Sect Master’s wrath!"

Seeing that Ye Wushuang wasn’t stopping, several Disciples at the True Essence Seventh Layer bellowed, their Ancient Swords cutting through the air as they charged toward him.

It was a widely known secret in the Celestial Sword Sect that Liuu Yifei was the Sect Master’s illegitimate son. If he died here, they would have no way of explaining it to the Sect Master.

At the same time, Xiang Tianxiao moved to block them. "What’s this? One of you wasn’t enough, so now you want to gang up on him?"

"Get out of the way!" the True Essence Seventh Layer Disciples roared, redirecting their attacks from Ye Wushuang to Xiang Tianxiao.

Ye Wushuang frowned. He hadn’t expected Liuu Yifei to have that much spirit.

The few True Essence Seventh Layer Disciples shouted in alarm, breaking away from Xiang Tianxiao’s attacks and quickly fleeing.

The others followed right behind them.

The crowd looked to Xiang Tianxiao again, waiting for his decision.
