Furious roars echoed ceaselessly through the great hall. The terrifying sound waves caused the walls to tremble and hum.

Below, Chen Kun and Ba Ziyun were prostrated on the ground, trembling. They looked as though they were suffering some horrific torture, utterly wretched as their bodies shook violently, not daring to make a sound.

Standing on the dais was an old man with half-white hair, wrapped in a gray robe. A ferocious python was embroidered on his chest. Combined with his aquiline nose and sharp, gloomy face, he looked exceptionally grim and terrifying.

This old man was the Law Enforcement Hall’s Elder, Anx Shijie!

"Jun’er is dead!"

Suddenly, Anx Shijie turned his head. A cold, murderous glint flashed in his sharp eyes as a ferocious pressure bore down on Ba Ziyun like an ancient, colossal mountain. CRACK! One could faintly hear the sound of his bones fracturing.

With two muffled thuds, Ba Ziyun and Chen Kun were sent flying, slamming into the ground outside the main gate and simultaneously spitting up a mouthful of blood.

Chen Kun was so angry he was practically seeing red. He raised his hand and slapped both of them across the face. With two loud thuds, they slammed against the cell wall and were knocked unconscious.

"Well, well, Ye Wushuang. I really didn’t expect this!" Chen Kun then fixed his cold gaze on Ye Wushuang and stepped forward. "Since you enjoy being served so much, why don’t the two of us serve you now!"

"I’m afraid you’re not qualified!"

Ye Wushuang sneered, understanding exactly what Chen Kun meant by "serve."

"Hmph! You’ll find out whether we’re qualified or not!" Ba Ziyun said to Chen Kun, "You hold him down, and I’ll destroy his Dantian!"

The two attacked Ye Wushuang at the same time.

Ye Wushuang’s expression turned grave. He had only managed to kill someone at the Qi Vortex Realm by forcibly using the power of the Life-Taking Sword.

His attack blocked, Ba Ziyun turned to look outside, his expression ugly. But his eyes instinctively narrowed when he saw two graceful figures approaching the cell.

One of them was dressed in a white palace-style gown, as cold as an iceberg and as aloof as a celestial fairy.

"Dii—Qing—xue!"

Upon seeing this person, Ba Ziyun’s heart jumped, and a look of fear flashed in his eyes.

Ye Wushuang looked over as well and saw Dii Qingxue and Yangg Qing’er walking toward the cell.

"I’m fine. Besides the poor environment, everything’s been great. I even have people waiting on me. It’s been incredibly comfortable!" Ye Wushuang said with a mocking smile. His words, dripping with sarcasm, made Chen Kun and Ba Ziyun want to cough up blood from rage.

"I am taking him with me," Dii Qingxue stated coldly. Her tone was direct and domineering.

"Senior Sister Dii, Ye Wushuang has committed a great crime against the Sect. His sin is unforgivable. This subordinate cannot make that decision," Ba Ziyun replied. If they let Ye Wushuang go, they would have to face Anx Shijie’s wrath, which would be a death sentence. No matter what, they could not let Ye Wushuang go.

"Are you trying to stop me?" Dii Qingxue shot him a cold glance, and an icy pressure bore down on him.

Ba Ziyun was instantly forced to his knees, his face filled with terror.

"Ironclad evidence?" Dii Qingxue repeated coldly. "If you can produce it, then he is yours to deal with, and I will not interfere. But right now, you cannot touch him."

"Fine. Fine! FINE!" Anx Shijie was seething, repeating the word three times. "You want evidence, is that it? Then I will give you evidence."

Anx Shijie shot a frigid glare at Ye Wushuang, his killing intent so thick it was palpable. It was clear he was absolutely determined to kill him.
