Lightning Eagles fell under Ye Wushuang’s feet one after another. In just a few short minutes, barely any of the more than fifty Lightning Eagles were left. Their Essence Blood Power and Power of thunder and lightning were devoured by Ye Wushuang to enhance his Cultivation.

SCREECH!

Watching its kin get slaughtered by Ye Wushuang, the Lightning Eagle King in the sky was utterly enraged.

Its pair of ferocious eyes glinted with cold lightning, locking deadly onto Ye Wushuang. A chill ran down his spine, as if he had been plunged into a cellar of ice.

BOOM!

The Lightning Eagle King swooped down. From the Thunder Ball on its head, terrifying, wrist-thick bolts of lightning erupted, slanting down from the sky and crashing densely into the canyon.

It was as if a heavenly tribulation had descended, instantly inundating the canyon.

CRACK!

One of the lightning bolts struck Ye Wushuang, sending him flying.

"Brother Ye!"

"Brother Ye!"

The expressions on Yangg Qing’er and Qiu Mo’s faces changed drastically.

Ye Wushuang staggered up from the ground, arcs of lightning still dancing across his body, his hair smoking.

At that moment, Ye Wushuang’s body was under immense strain, his meridians screaming with a tearing pain. Although the Heaven-Devouring Dragon Technique had devoured a large portion of the Lightning Eagle King’s attack, it couldn’t instantly neutralize the Power of thunder and lightning from a savage Demon Beast assault, no matter how strong the technique was. He could only let the energy ravage his body.

"Damn, that hurts! The power of a Demon Beast is no joke!"

Ye Wushuang grimaced, wiping the blood from the corner of his mouth. He had finally witnessed the true power of a being comparable to the Qi Vortex Realm. Compared to his own Body Tempering Realm, the difference was truly like heaven and earth.

A single blow had severely wounded him, even causing internal injuries.

"He’s okay! The guy didn’t die from the Fierce Demon’s attack!"

The group of people rushing over stared as Ye Wushuang got back on his feet. Their eyes widened in shock, as if they were looking at a monster. To survive a Fierce Demon’s fatal attack and get up looking fine... if it had been them, the outcome would have been completely different.

"What are you all gawking at? You waiting to be fed to the Lightning Eagles?"

Seeing the stunned crowd, Ye Wushuang was left speechless. Without another thought, he rushed to Yangg Qing’er and Qiu Mo’s side, pulling the two of them toward the canyon exit in a desperate escape.

The others smiled wryly. ’This guy has no idea what an incredible thing he just did.’

Their scalps tingling with fear at the sight of the enraged Lightning Eagle King, they too seized the opportunity to flee toward the canyon exit.

BOOM! BOOM!

Seeing that even its powerful Power of thunder and lightning had failed to kill Ye Wushuang, the Lightning Eagle King grew even more furious. It spread its wings—spanning over a hundred feet—casting a vast shadow that swept over the people fleeing through the canyon.

The Lightning Eagle King locked its aura onto Ye Wushuang, refusing to let go. It gathered its Demon Power into the ball of lightning on its head and suddenly unleashed a barrage of lightning bolts to bombard him.

WHAM! WHAM! WHAM!

Bowl-sized lightning bolts slammed into the ground, blasting out deep craters. Many who were too slow were hit just once and their bodies instantly exploded into fragments.

Ye Wushuang was inevitably hit several times, sent flying by the blasts. The impacts were so powerful they felt like they were rearranging his organs, and he was nearly torn apart by the Power of thunder and lightning.

Of course, even as he was shocked by the Demon Beast’s terrifying power, he was also amazed by the heaven-defying nature of the Heaven-Devouring Dragon Technique. If the technique hadn’t granted him such a monstrously durable body, he would have long since been annihilated by this onslaught.

’After I get back, I have to study the Heaven-Devouring Dragon Technique properly,’ Ye Wushuang thought.

"What are you going to do?" Qiu Mo asked urgently.

"Take it on, of course!" Ye Wushuang said with a strange grin. "It’s injured me this badly. If I don’t kill this feathered beast, wouldn’t I have suffered for nothing?"

Qiu Mo didn’t understand what Ye Wushuang was planning, but he nodded anyway.

Soon, everyone made it through the canyon and arrived at its mouth.

Beyond the canyon’s mouth was a valley, and Ye Wushuang immediately had everyone retreat into it.

Only Ye Wushuang remained, standing firm at the mouth of the canyon.

"What is he trying to do?"

From the valley, everyone looked back at Ye Wushuang and was startled by his actions.

RUMBLE!

The massive form of the Lightning Eagle King burst out of the canyon, lightning arcing and crackling across its wings. Its aura of destruction made the very sky churn.

Its eyes locked onto Ye Wushuang, who was standing at the mouth of the canyon. Then it dove, filled with a savage, violent intent so palpable that even the distant crowd in the valley felt it and froze, their bodies turning rigid and cold.

’If the Lightning Eagle King attacks him now, even if he were at the Body Tempering Tenth Layer or even the Qi Vortex Realm, he’d be obliterated, wouldn’t he?’

But then, to their utter astonishment, as the Lightning Eagle King swooped down, the slender figure in white actually spread his arms wide and closed his eyes, as if welcoming the fatal blow.

"Is he insane?"

Everyone was shocked by Ye Wushuang’s astounding behavior and couldn’t help but shout out.

Soon, the sound of the Lightning Eagle King’s wings scraping against the canyon walls grew louder and louder.

The crowd in the valley stared with wide eyes, holding their breath. They watched as the giant flying beast, wreathed in violent lightning, descended to engulf the lone figure in white.

In the blink of an eye, it was upon him.

And the figure in white was welcoming death with an embrace.

To be attacked in such a situation... even a Qi Vortex Realm expert would face certain death, to say nothing of a mere Body Tempering Realm cultivator.

As if they could already picture the gory scene to come, some in the crowd couldn’t bear to watch and turned their heads.

Yangg Qing’er tried to rush forward, but Qiu Mo held her back.

"Dragon Blood Killing Sword, annihilate the heavens!"

Suddenly, after a half-breath of silence, an explosive roar erupted from within the endless lightning, echoing like thunder through the canyon.

Then, a bloody light shot from Ye Wushuang’s body, transforming into a crimson Sword Aura that rocketed skyward. It resembled an Ancient Blood Dragon rising to prop up the heavens, piercing the Firmament and radiating a ferocious intent powerful enough to slaughter both heaven and earth.

SCREE!

Sensing that Venerable killing intent, a flicker of fear appeared in the Lightning Eagle King’s eyes. Its massive body shot upward as it prepared to flee.

ROAR!

However, a dragon’s roar shook the Nine Heavens. The Dragon Blood Killing Sword’s malevolent light blazed as it transformed into a terrifying blood dragon and soared into the sky. It swiftly coiled around the Lightning Eagle King, its devastating Dragon Blood Killing Power madly crushing the great beast’s body.

The Lightning Eagle King struggled desperately, its massive body unleashing terrifying bolts of lightning to bombard the blood dragon, trying in vain to break free from its coils.

But in the narrow confines of the canyon, its wings were pinned against the walls, leaving it unable to resist. It could only be crushed by the blood dragon, from head to tail.

The Lightning Eagle King shrieked, but its cries earned no mercy from the Dragon Blood Killing Sword. The sword seemed as if it would not be satisfied until its target was utterly annihilated.

’So this is the Dragon Blood Killing Sword... It’s terrifying!’

Ye Wushuang was utterly shaken. The Lightning Eagle King was a genuine Demon Beast, yet it was being crushed, completely unable to fight back. The power of the Slaying Sword was simply too frightening.

Ye Wushuang screamed like a madman as he watched the Lightning Eagle King be crushed into a bloody mist.

But by the time Ye Wushuang came to his senses, it was too late. In just half a breath, the Demon Beast Level flying behemoth had been completely obliterated, not a trace left behind. Even the Dragon Blood Killing Sword crumbled and vanished along with it.

Ye Wushuang’s heart bled. The Dragon Blood Killing Sword was terrifying, yes, but...

’Devour! I can still devour it!’ There was no time for regrets. The bloody mist filling the sky was the blood of a Demon Beast—far superior to the Blood of Fierce Beasts. Ye Wushuang activated the Heaven-Devouring Dragon Technique, forming a massive vortex that began to frantically absorb it all.

As Ye Wushuang devoured the Demon Beast’s blood, he glanced up at the sky above the canyon, silently cursing the Slaying Sword for being too powerful. It had destroyed everything, leaving him with no spoils.

But in the next instant, his eyes suddenly lit up with joy, as if he had spotted something else left behind in the sky above the canyon’s mouth.
