Staring at the spot where their target had just vanished, the black-robed men were baffled, their eyes darting around warily.

"What are you idiots standing around for? Find him, damn it! Don’t let that kid escape!" Xie Yun bellowed. He thought Ye Wushuang had fled!

But this put the black-robed men in a bind. How were they supposed to stop Ye Wushuang from escaping if they couldn’t even find him?

"Damn it! If I get my hands on that kid, I’ll mince him into meat paste!" one of the black-robed men swore resentfully.

However, he failed to notice a ripple forming in the air just half a meter behind him.

A Sword Aura suddenly erupted from the void. The chilling Sword Intent made the black-robed man’s heart run cold, and he whipped his head around.

PFFT!

Before he could even react, the Sword Aura traced a graceful arc across his neck. His head flew off, rolling to a stop at Xie Yun’s feet.

At the same time, a pillar of blood shot into the sky like a fountain!

Xie Yun’s blood-red pupils constricted when he saw the head at his feet. He immediately shrieked, "He didn’t escape! Kill him!"

"Weren’t you going to hack me to pieces and dig out my heart? What are you running for?" Ye Wushuang sneered. His figure vanished, only to reappear behind Xie Yun an instant later, ready to kill.

A chill shot down Xie Yun’s spine. Without a moment’s hesitation, a vicious light flashed in his eyes. He grabbed one of the black-robed men fleeing past him and yanked the man behind him as a shield.

A terrifying Sword Aura burst from the void and sliced the black-robed man in half at the waist.

Seizing the opportunity, Xie Yun locked his Divine Sense onto the point in the void where the Sword Aura had emerged. A blood-red Battle Spear shot forward, rapidly multiplying into countless copies as it flew.

The host of blood-red spears pierced the void, forming a crimson net that covered a huge area as it converged on the spot where the Sword Aura had originated.

Xie Yun was also at the True Essence Second Layer. His True Essence surged, further amplifying the power of the blood-red spears.

Ye Wushuang strode forward. With a flash of his blade, he swung the Mad Demon Sword in a horizontal slash. Its peerless Sword Light radiated in all directions!

Seeing this, Xie Yun’s face paled. "Friend," he yelled, "this is the territory of the Demon Abyss! That Treasure-Seeking Rat is a treasure belonging to my Demon Abyss! You’ve not only stolen our treasure but also killed our people. Do you intend to make an enemy of the Demon Abyss?"

"Who the hell is your ’friend’?" Ye Wushuang sneered. ’At first, he saw me as an easy target and wanted to dig out my heart without a second thought. Now that he realizes he’s outmatched, he’s calling me ’friend’? What a fucking joke!’

"Die!"

Spitting out the single word, Ye Wushuang unleashed his Thunder Sword. It transformed into a sheet of lightning that descended on Xie Yun, exploding around him with a deafening CRACKLE.

Xie Yun was sent flying by the blast, crashing through several dead trees and snapping their trunks in half.

The crimson spider frantically absorbed the energy, its surface glowing with an intense, bloody light. It then shot out as a streak of crimson, transforming in mid-air into a gigantic, blood-red spider.

The spider stood three to four meters tall, its entire body a deep crimson. It had eight legs, each one as sharp and deadly as the Grim Reaper’s scythe.

The Demon Blood Spider charged toward Ye Wushuang, raising its two front legs like a pair of massive barbs. THUD! THUD! They shot through the void, emitting a bloody light as they stabbed at Ye Wushuang’s flanks.

Ye Wushuang’s gaze hardened as he swept out a wave of Sword Light that struck the Demon Blood Spider.

The Sword Light struck its body, creating a sound of grinding metal and sending sparks flying, but it failed to cause any damage. It was as if the Demon Blood Spider’s body were forged from Divine Iron—exceptionally hard!

Ye Wushuang stepped out of the void, his Ancient Sword thrusting forward as a Life-Taking Light bloomed from its tip.

"Bastard! I’m the son of the Demon Abyss Elder, Xie Xiao! If you dare kill me, you’ll meet a terrible end!" Xie Yun shrieked in terror.

"I’ll meet a terrible end if I kill you. But if I don’t, you’ll have me hacked to pieces. You call that a good end?" Ye Wushuang’s eyes were icy. He lifted his Ancient Sword, and with a flash of Sword Light, a head flew into the air.
