Seeing this, the three men’s faces paled. They had no choice but to dodge swiftly to the sides.

"Murong Ye, the entrance is blocked!" From behind the curtain of light, Ye Wushuang reminded them nonchalantly. He looked like a mere bystander, one hand clasped behind his back, smiling as he watched the four sorry figures.

"Ye Wushuang, I’ll fucking kill you!" Yunn Dao roared in fury. Wiping the blood from his mouth, he snatched his nearly two-meter-long giant saber from the ground and swung it through the air toward Ye Wushuang.

But Yunn Dao was the Red-Scaled Fire Flood Dragon’s primary target. Seeing him raise his saber and step forward, the dragon assumed he was about to strike again and charged, intending to crush him with its raw physical power.

"Dammit!" His attack blocked, Yunn Dao was so enraged he nearly spat blood again. He had no choice but to quickly retreat to the side of Murong Ye and the other two.

"The entrance is sealed now. Our escape is cut off. Our only chance of survival is to slay the Red-Scaled Fire Flood Dragon," Zuo Yi said coldly. He stared at the curtain of light, his demonic eyes glinting with a strange light.

"Let’s attack together. First, we slaughter this beast, then we’ll smash through that light curtain and mince Ye Wushuang," Yunn Dao said, his fierce eyes filled with frigid killing intent.

Murong Ye glanced at Ye Wushuang behind the curtain of light before giving his orders. "Yunn Dao, Xi Jie, and I will hold off the Red-Scaled Fire Flood Dragon. Zuo Yi, you focus on clearing the cave entrance. If we can kill this beast, we’ll kill Ye Wushuang next. If we can’t, we’ll retreat from the cave first and deal with him outside."

His fist smashed into the curtain of light. To Xi Jie’s surprise, the curtain merely rippled without any other effect. Instead, a terrifying pressure blasted him back a step.

"This is a seal. You can’t get in," Ye Wushuang said with a smile, his hand still clasped behind his back. "You should go back and continue. Help me kill the Red-Scaled Fire Flood Dragon, and I’ll be sure to thank you!"

"Bastard! If I can’t get in, then you come out!" Xi Jie was furious. They had been set up by Ye Wushuang, yet this guy was completely unharmed and was even taunting them. He deserved to die.

"Congratulations, you guessed wrong. So, get back there and continue helping me kill the Red-Scaled Fire Flood Dragon." A cold light flashed in Ye Wushuang’s eyes. He lifted his longsword, and a sudden beam of Sword Light shot through the curtain, much to Xi Jie’s astonishment.

SQUELCH!

Caught completely off guard, Xi Jie’s body was sent flying by the sword strike, hurtling toward the Red-Scaled Fire Flood Dragon.

The Red-Scaled Fire Flood Dragon had gone berserk. Its Demon Power surged, crashing into the defenseless Xi Jie like a tidal wave. With a final THUD, Xi Jie’s body hit the ground, blood flowing freely. He was as dead as could be.
