Ye Wushuang and his two companions returned from the Undying Ghost Spring. The rest of the group had already collected all the Yin Spirit Flowers.

Yut Tong stepped forward and asked, "Brother Xiang, did you find anything?"

Xiang Tianxiao shook his head and turned to Ye Wushuang.

Ye Wushuang explained, "They were just affected by an invasion of Ghost Spirit Evil Qi. It’s nothing serious. And that strange glow wasn’t from a treasure."

"So that’s what happened," Yut Tong said. "Still, this place is bizarre. Not only is our Divine Sense suppressed, but there’s also this Ghost Spirit Evil Qi. We should get out of here."

"Let’s go." For some reason, perhaps subconsciously, there was a hint of urgency in Ye Wushuang’s voice. He was rather concerned about the strange phenomenon he had witnessed earlier.

Yut Tong nodded, then handed a Storage Ring to Xiang Tianxiao. "There are three hundred and sixty-five Yin Spirit Flowers here. Take a look."

"So many?" Xiang Tianxiao was astonished.

Ye Wushuang frowned. He felt a strange unease for some reason. Three hundred and sixty-five stalks—the number corresponded to a full celestial cycle, which was very peculiar.

If he hadn’t seen that mysterious coffin earlier, he might not have thought anything of it. But since he had, this felt far from ordinary.

"Let’s split them up."

Xiang Tianxiao and the others didn’t notice anything amiss. Faced with so many Yin Spirit Flowers, they were already lost in excitement.

A full three hundred and sixty-five stalks—it was an absolute treasure trove.

There were thirty-seven people present, not including Ye Wushuang and Xiang Tianxiao. Each took nine stalks, and the remaining thirty-two were given to Ye Wushuang and Xiang Tianxiao.

One of them had helped the group find the treasure, while the other had saved Sunx Jiang, sparing them all from a deadly crisis.

Xiang Tianxiao took out sixteen stalks and handed them to Ye Wushuang.

This surprised Ye Wushuang. Logically speaking, Xiang Tianxiao was the one who had contributed the most and deserved a larger share, yet he was splitting it evenly.

"Brother Ye, we’ve been through thick and thin together. I’d like to consider you a friend. What do you say?" Xiang Tianxiao said with a faint smile.

He wanted to befriend Ye Wushuang for two reasons. First, he simply felt that Ye Wushuang was a good man.

Second, Xiang Tianxiao saw Ye Wushuang’s potential; it was simply immense. Befriending a Demon Fiend like him would be a great source of prestige in the future. This, he admitted to himself, was a somewhat selfish motive.

After their recent interactions, Ye Wushuang had also developed a favorable impression of Xiang Tianxiao. "In that case," he said, "it would be rude of me to refuse."

"Excellent!" Xiang Tianxiao roared with laughter, saying just that one word.

"Let’s be on our way."

With another laugh and a shout, Xiang Tianxiao began to lead the group back the way they came.

But in the distance, a burly figure was watching the group—no, it was watching Ye Wushuang, and only Ye Wushuang.

The figure had the build of a middle-aged man, with large, menacing eyes. He wore a red-and-black King’s Robe and a Pearl Curtain Crown. His face was rigid, his skin the color of charcoal, and his sideburns swept upward like swords. It was an incredibly bizarre sight.

Ye Wushuang frowned, glanced one last time at the distant Undying Ghost Spring, and followed the others away from the bizarre area.

At the edge of the Undying Ghost Abyss, a series of violent explosions rang out. Terrifying phantoms charged out one after another, and the intermittent sounds of battle echoed through the air.

A group of youths wreathed in flames was seen battling some of the phantoms.

The phantoms were the Undying Creatures of the Undying Ghost Abyss.

That group of youths was none other than Yang Dingtian and his followers. They had been hunting Ye Wushuang, chasing him from the canyon all the way to the edge of the Undying Ghost Abyss.

To their surprise, they had blindly stumbled right into a horde of Undying Creatures that had just charged out.

Everyone gasped. They had all heard of them but never seen them in person. Witnessing their freakish immortality firsthand sent a chill of fear through them.

The Undying Creatures instantly swarmed after them.

Seeing this, Ye Wushuang’s expression turned grim. He brandished his Dragon Blood Battle Saber, unleashing a dazzling flash of blade energy as he slashed at one of the Undying Creatures.

"Eldest Senior Brother, look! It’s Ye Wushuang!"

A Disciple from the Fiery Sun Sect noticed the flash of blood-red blade light in the sky. He stared intently for a moment before shouting with glee.

BANG!

However, in that brief moment of elation, a long spear pierced through his body, causing it to explode.

"Ye Wushuang!"

"You’re not leaving here alive!"

Upon seeing Ye Wushuang, Yang Dingtian let out a furious roar. The rolling sound wave, thick with endless killing intent, washed over Ye Wushuang.

"Hmph. You think you can kill me?"

Ye Wushuang glanced back and snorted in disdain before ignoring Yang Dingtian completely. He couldn’t afford any distractions while facing these bizarre Undying Creatures.

Besides, more and more Undying Creatures were gathering. The situation was too strange; Ye Wushuang had to remain vigilant.

"Kill!"
