Ye Wushuang furiously smashed his fist forward, eight streams of murderous Blood Qi coiling around it with tyrannical force.

The tyrannical fist slammed into the blade, instantly shattering the True Qi that enveloped it. The immense force of the impact sent tremors through the longsword, making it buzz violently in Xia’an’s hand.

Ye Wushuang and Yangg Qing’er both grew solemn.

Yangg Qing’er, in particular, tightly gripped Ye Wushuang’s arm. "Brother Ye, I’ll stand by you! I’m not afraid, even if it means risking my life!"

"It’s okay. I’ll handle this," Ye Wushuang said softly. He saw her bravery and knew that in the time she had been with him, she had changed. She was no longer the timid Yangg Qing’er of the past.

He gently patted Yangg Qing’er’s hand, his gaze sharpening as he stared intently at the attacking Ba Ziyun.

He finally understood completely. This so-called interrogation was just a play staged by Chen Kun and Ba Ziyun for the sake of revenge. Their ultimate goal was to kill him. Since that was the case, he would fight with everything he had.

"Ba Ziyun, stop right there! This kid is mine." Just as Ba Ziyun was about to rush past, Anx Jun shouted angrily and stepped forward to block his path.

"Ye Wushuang is a dangerous felon. We can’t let him live another moment. Move aside," Ba Ziyun snapped coldly, feeling the urge to simply trample over Anx Jun.

He desperately wanted to kill Ye Wushuang, partly to avenge his younger brother, and partly to obtain his Combat Skill.

"No!" The corner of Ba Ziyun’s mouth twitched, and a flash of malice crossed his eyes, but he ultimately restrained himself. He was well aware of the relationship between Anx Jun and the Law Enforcement Elder; this was not someone he could afford to offend.

"If not, then get lost. A little piece of trash like him dares to stop me from having my fun with a woman? I’ll fucking flay him alive."

Violently shoving Ba Ziyun aside, Anx Jun turned to face Ye Wushuang, his eyes burning with a fury that could only be sated by venting it all on him.

"You, stand aside!"

Ye Wushuang pushed Yangg Qing’er aside, his expression becoming incomparably cold.

"You want to play the hero saving the damsel? You need to be alive to do that." Anx Jun spat on the ground and walked toward Ye Wushuang with a vicious look in his eyes.

Ba Ziyun moved to stop him. After all, if anything happened to Anx Jun, he would also be held responsible.

However, Chen Kun held him back.

"Don’t worry. Ye Wushuang is only at the Body Tempering Eighth Layer. No matter how strong he is, he can’t even touch a hair on someone in the Qi Vortex Realm. Just let Anx Jun vent his anger," Chen Kun signaled with his eyes.
