Alistair looked flawless from head to toe. Standing well over six feet—no surprise his food slot was positioned so high.

Just like Silas, Alistair sported glasses with a delicate chain, instantly radiating aristocratic elegance. His aura was layered and composed. Several of them had transformed into humans recently, but only Alistair truly embodied maturity and reliability.

I’d learned the Valerion Empire lacked an official "commander" title. To distinguish him from the eastern and western generals, everyone simply addressed Alistair as the Commander.

Right—this type of man was destined to lead.

I chuckled at my wandering mind and grinned. "Commander Alistair, you certainly kept that under wraps."

"Does the view please you, my lady?" Alistair inquired.

I gave an enthusiastic nod.

Behind the barrier, Finnian silently clenched his fist.

"Those bastards. I’ll settle scores with every last one eventually."

Alistair observed me bouncing away, his expression tender.

"My mate is absolutely precious."

Alistair had abandoned his disguise. Now Finnian wallowed in misery. Getting overshadowed twice left him completely drained.

But my spirits soared.

I’d discovered my touch reduced their mental breakdown readings, so I was determined to spoil the fox rotten.

Finnian registered the lowest numbers among all seven. If I could drive his score to 50, he’d regain communication privileges—finally giving me someone for conversation and games.

Alistair could manipulate robots, but mechanical limbs lacked the precision for screen navigation.

I marched directly to his compartment and gestured at the bashful Finnian lurking in the shadows.

"Ms. Sterling, just set the meal down," he muttered.

I folded my arms. "A few days apart and you’ve turned this icy? Fine, I’ll dump everything right here."

I slipped off my finger ring. The spaceship materialized.

Finnian’s gaze sharpened. His restraint crumbled. He lunged forward, seizing my wrist with obvious irritation. "You get that much pleasure from tormenting me?"

I glanced down at his grip from the corner of my vision.

Elegant, silky, elongated digits—veins perfectly defined. Pure eye candy for hands.

I dragged my thumb across his skin, seizing control, then gasped dramatically while covering my mouth and gaping at Finnian in mock horror. "Oh my."

Finnian went quiet.

He snorted and pivoted away—but froze upon detecting medicinal traces on me. Understanding dawned, and he whirled back in exasperation. "I should never have handed you that device."

I scowled.

Arrogant fox. Playing superior now that he’s human.

"From here on, just call me Ms. Sterling," I declared.

Finnian snapped his head around, shocked. One glimpse of my arched brow, and he rotated again, one hand fidgeting restlessly within his loose sleeve.

Outwardly composed. Internally, just as frazzled as Silas.

"Don’t you find me appealing?" he demanded.

Even the typically mild-mannered fox raised his tone.

He instantly felt foolish, but decided it wasn’t shameful—not before his mate.

"You’re exceptional. Obviously, you’re attractive," I replied.

"Truly?"

"Truly."

Finnian’s spirits finally recovered. "I’m aware of everything."

He extended his wrist, displaying our shared bonding mark.

Then he continued, "You don’t desire me, do you? You never even acknowledged this."

Could I admit I concealed it because I feared they might die prematurely? Absolutely not.

"You’re overthinking. I didn’t inform anyone else either. And I don’t crave beasts... but you’re human now." I smirked wickedly.

Finnian’s fox eyes blazed brilliantly. I’d definitely sweet-talked him into better humor.

"Which of us is the real fox here?" he asked.

"Obviously you," I said, offering his blossoms. "These are yours."

Finnian beamed even brighter. He released my hand, executed a graceful bow with noble flair, and said, "Thank you, my lady. I adore them."

Becoming human had truly transformed him—so much more courteous.

But this little fox was breathtaking.

Golden locks streaked with silver, narrow, piercing fox eyes with subtle pink rimming them. His gray irises softened his features without feminizing them—another androgynous stunner, but radiating bold, untouchable frost.

What a physique. Another long-limbed heartthrob.

The beast realm truly produced nothing except gorgeous men. The one before me was perfection.

I want to claim him.

The endless parade of beautiful faces left me dizzy.

I beckoned Finnian with my finger. "Come closer."
