Elara’s POV

"It’s fine, Your Highness. I understand," I said gently.

I knew exactly how awful it had been—I’d witnessed that fizzing blue concoction myself.

I slipped Dorian a container of freeze-dried strawberries discreetly and pressed a finger to my lips.

Dorian examined the elegant container, then looked at my face, understanding he was receiving preferential treatment once more.

"Is this exclusively for me? Doesn’t General Barrett receive any?" he inquired.

I laughed, "Just for you, Your Highness. I prepared these specifically for you."

Dorian cocked his head and gently licked my hand. I nearly withdrew, but remained motionless. After licking me, he pressed his head into my palm, seeking my touch. Finally, he sniffled softly. "Elara, does it still ache?"

I smiled and pushed a flower arrangement through the opening. "Not any longer, because of you."

What malicious intent could a small leopard possess? He was simply concerned about me.

I ruffled his head once more and began to rise—but Dorian shyly caught my sleeve between his teeth. "Tonight..."

"You may," I said immediately.

His entire universe brightened.

Dorian leaped with excitement, then marched back to his sleeping area like a triumphant warrior—meal tray and flowers in his grasp. The instant he turned around, he was already devouring his food.

I could tell he was thinking, "Everything tastes wonderful now that Elara has returned. And there’s cake! I adore it."

Barrett remained silent today. He simply observed as I approached him and released a relieved sigh when he confirmed I was uninjured.

He wanted to question why I hadn’t informed him, but couldn’t manage to voice anything.

I could sense he already understood. These beastmen all possessed keen senses of smell.

"Your lightsaber was magnificent," I told him.

"Did it assist in protecting you?" he questioned.

"It did."

I placed his meal down and suddenly smirked. This broad-shouldered specimen was far too appealing. I couldn’t resist provoking him.

As Barrett reached for his tray, I seized his hand and laughed, "Lost for words?"

"I’m so sor..."

"Stop." I pressed my hand over his mouth. "That’s the last phrase I want to hear right now. If you’re truly sorry, remove your shirt and show me your abs."

His reflexes were incredible. I quickly shielded my face. My joke had just encountered a guy who took action first.

"May I be your man?" Barrett asked.

Yes, yes, yes!

I didn’t voice it—I nodded vigorously, swallowing the flirtatious comment I’d prepared.

Damn it. They’re all experts.

The rabbit kissed me immediately; Barrett just undressed. Dorian is too young, and Kaelen is too clueless.

Since kissing Silas, I had become more daring. Perhaps I’d inquire with both of them about female-dominated relationships sometime.

I never failed at teasing.

Barrett gazed at me, affection flowing from his eyes. He took a bite of cake and gave me a thumbs-up. "Delicious."

He consumed the cake, but his attention was focused on the flowers.

I could see the question in his eyes: "Is there one for me today?"

I was barely containing my amusement. I attempted to flick his forehead, but couldn’t reach even on my toes. Barrett smiled and leaned down.

I finally managed it.

"Stop looking so dejected. You receive flowers today," I said, presenting him with a large bouquet and a vine crown.

Beverages, desserts—everything was ideal again now that I had returned.

"Thank you, Elara." Barrett beamed and pressed a gentle kiss to the flowers.

I released a low whistle.

That’s a wolf beastman for me—pleasing to the eye.

Chamber Five remained dark. But recalling what Alistair had mentioned earlier, I paused anyway. I arranged his meal, and the delivery robot elevated it to his hatch—the highest of all the men’s.

After everything was prepared, Alistair still hadn’t emerged. Just as I was about to depart, the lights activated.

I froze momentarily, staring at the man before me. Then I smiled.

Alistair spoke first, "Did I let you down?"

I shook my head. "You’re breathtaking."

His silver-gray hair cascaded over his shoulders, secured with a coordinating ribbon. His eyebrows were defined, his eyes luminous like stars—cold and aloof, yet captivating. Most striking was the beauty mark beneath his eye, lending a subtle, perilous allure to his features.
