"Dr. Pendragon, you’re quite the smooth talker - lying without even a hint of red on those cheeks," I maintained my commanding position.

Fine, if he wants this charade, I’ll give him exactly what he’s asking for.

"The system just announced it." Silas abandoned his sweet facade instantly, desperate to convince me of the truth.

I grinned. "Dr. Pendragon, finished with your little act?"

Silas went quiet.

"I wasn’t acting. Making my mate happy is what any beast husband should do. Elara, I belong to you."

"You don’t-"

My words cut short as a sharp snap echoed through the room. The vines restraining Silas broke apart entirely.

Seriously? He’s done messing around? Am I about to get completely outmaneuvered? I just exhausted myself with Water Weave and have zero fight left against this rabbit.

"Silas, are you throwing a tantrum?" I demanded.

"Absolutely." He cocked his head with a smile, clearly irritated.

Before I could react, he swept me into his embrace and down onto the bed. I glanced up only to find myself gently pushed back down.

"Release me," I ordered.

Silas bent closer with a wicked grin. "Elara, you cared way too much. That’s exactly how you walked straight into my snare."

I bristled, "You knew that and still pulled this stunt? You ruthless-mmph!"

Silas was seething. The rabbit retaliated this time. I went rigid, then caught the sound of a belt being undone. My blood turned to ice.

Oh hell. Why did I ever assume this insane lop-eared rabbit was just messing around?

Strange atmosphere...

I cursed silently. This wasn’t the moment for that system!

I was cornered and just wanted to escape.

But Silas’s husky voice reached me from behind. "Behave. Stay still."

He hadn’t intended to frighten me - his clothing was just restricting and he needed to breathe easier. It was his mistake for alarming me.

Silas embraced me carefully, mindful of my still-mending injuries.

He murmured that his mate smelled incredible, noticing the subtle medicinal fragrance and realizing I had really recovered.

Silas settled, his breathing slowing, and nuzzled my back with satisfaction.

I cocked my head, my mind racing with confusion.

What the hell is happening? Chamber Seven should be in complete chaos! The barrier remains active - is the control system malfunctioning?

Julian pressed his lips into a thin line.

"My mate is here. I can detect the woody fragrance of her abilities... and something else."

Dorian’s tail twitched.

"That recognizable scent... Is Elara in there?"

Barrett gnawed on the railing once more.

"A rampage? Then why are the levels dropping so consistently?"

Finnian’s smile was barely perceptible.

"I wasn’t mistaken earlier. The sudden quiet means Silas’s Sovereign Territory is functioning."

Alistair rolled his eyes in exasperation.

"That petty rabbit. With his levels plummeting this rapidly, he’s clearly gotten exactly what he was after. His tantrum should be over by now."

Inside Chamber Seven, Silas kept me close, retrieved my phone, and scrolled through until he located an ancient system matching notification buried in the message history.

It displayed both his and Finnian’s complete registration information.

Silas released me and thrust the screen forward. "See this."

"Where did you unearth that?"

"Your phone."

"My phone is constantly flooded with messages..."

"So... do I belong to you?"

I swallowed nervously.

Can I refuse? The evidence is staring me in the face. But when did this arrive? Why haven’t I ever noticed it?

"Yes," I admitted.

Why don’t you hit him if you’re this frustrated?

This is just entertainment. Don’t you understand?

More like when you’re at his mercy, you must comply. A fierce woman subdued and tormented by a rabbit.

Silas beamed and tousled my hair, his laughter warm and content. "Good girl. Don’t anger me again, alright?"

"Alright." I nodded.

Silas’s eyes sparkled with delight. He fastened a tiny rabbit-shaped necklace around my throat. "A present."

If I had studied his expression, I would’ve caught the cunning, satisfied smirk playing on his lips.

But I was too concentrated on escaping to pay attention.

Once the necklace was secured, he released me naturally. I bolted from the bed and fled immediately - no second opportunities granted. He was already agitated. If I didn’t run, did I want to be completely consumed?
