A collective intake of breath swept through the crowd. The cheers and celebration abruptly ceased, replaced by an ethereal voice that echoed across the heavens.

"Greetings, honored female. I am the Nexus World system. I have detected your wedding ceremony today, and I have prepared a gift for you..."

Another wave of stunned silence blanketed the square.

I watched everyone freeze, their faces painted with shock and disbelief.
