Char listened with a smile to Freyja’s narration.

In Freyja’s concept, there might not be the notion of ordinary professions, elite professions, rare professions, epic professions, and legendary professions, which are the system’s classifications for the various extraordinary professions.

But without a doubt, even among the Elf Clan, the Natural Prophet was an extremely powerful and scarce profession, otherwise Freyja’s tone wouldn’t have been filled with such astonishment.

Before that, all he dreamed of were powers to move heaven and earth and extremely high damage—he hadn’t fantasized about Druid and Prophetic abilities.

Not to mention, Natural Prophets also had the ability to cultivate magic plants!

If nothing unexpected happened, the circle of green vines outside had been cultivated by Kedel White Eagle, specifically to counter Undead magic plants.

Char was simply too eager to wait, wanting to immediately get Freyja’s help to translate the magic book left by Kedel and then change professions on the spot.

Seeing no change in Char’s expression and realizing his clear lack of common knowledge, Freyja explained: “Above level 10 are the advanced professionals. The vast majority of Transcendents spend their entire lives without breaking through to level 10.”

“In our tribe, apart from those Elves who are selected for positions in the capital, very few reach or exceed level 10, and the strongest in our clan is only level 12, not much higher than Kedel, the Winged Elf predecessor.”

“And considering the Natural Prophet’s powerful and comprehensive combat capability, Kedel’s combat strength might not have been inferior to that of the strongest in our clan. Of course, this is under the presumption that we don’t count the Jade Flying Dragon.”

“With Kedel’s strength being so formidable, he still couldn’t completely prevent the outbreak of the Undead calamity and even died because of it.”

As an Elf who loved nature and had a heart for justice, when she heard from Char that there was a Land of Undead nearby, inhabited by a large number of Undead, she thought to do everything within her power to prevent the crisis from erupting.

This was within his expectations; if this Land of Undead had its own consciousness, no matter how much the Garden Secret Realm could confuse the Perception of the Undead, it couldn’t possibly have survived—you might fool those low-level, unintelligent Undead, but could you also fool high-level Undead?

“Let me start from the beginning,” Freyja said.

“The source of the Undead crisis is a small town called ‘Fallen Leaf Town,’ initially established by a group of Florentines seeking refuge in the Florence Forest. As more and more people from the outside world joined, the number of races grew, gradually forming a town of nearly ten thousand inhabitants, including humans, Elves, Half-Elves, as well as a few Dwarves, Centaurs, Half-orcs and even Half-Beasts.”

“Different races coexisted harmoniously in Fallen Leaf Town. Although there were occasional conflicts and disputes, they were quickly resolved by the Priest of the Dawn God, and everyone remained a loving and supportive family until—the arrival of the Undead Mage.”

“Wait, the Dawn God?” Char interrupted Freyja.

Nearly ten thousand people, comprising different races, living together in the forest as lovingly as a family—it sounded too mythical, like a scene only found in fairy tales brimming with childish innocence.

However, Char was clearly more concerned about the Dawn God than that.

‘The Dawn God, who is that? Lord of Dawn, Losanda?’ Char thought to himself.

“Yes, the Dawn God, the divine ruler of the morning light, universal love, and peace; but He has already fallen.”

He had actually, through an unfortunate twist of fate, traversed to the era of the Divine Struggle!

“You don’t know?”

Seeing that Char seemed genuinely unaware of the Dawn God and His fall, Freyja was astounded.

If it were some common knowledge that Char did not know, Freyja could understand.

After all, what’s common knowledge to one person may not be to another, and if Char grew up in a remote, secluded environment, it would make sense that he couldn’t access much knowledge.

But the gods were involved in every aspect of people’s lives, and the fall of the Dawn God was an event that shook the world. Char not knowing about it was truly abnormal. 𝑓𝓇𝘦ℯ𝘸𝘦𝑏𝓃𝑜𝘷ℯ𝑙.𝑐𝑜𝓂

Char deliberately furrowed his brow and paused for a few seconds, as if recalling something, then after a while, he said, “I don’t feel any discomfort.”

Freyja’s expression remained serious; she sincerely cared about Char’s condition.

“Maybe in the future, I could ask the elders of my clan to try and help you recover your memory. But that will have to wait until you’re strong enough,” Freyja said.

The legacy of Kedel White Eagle was nothing significant; even if her kin knew, they wouldn’t grow greedy for it.

But the miraculous light that instantly transformed the Ghost Flying Lizard was a different matter.

Even if Freyja believed her kin to be upright and kind, she couldn’t guarantee they wouldn’t be tempted by greed.

Otherwise, she wouldn’t have made the excuse of traveling to leave her tribe.

Remembering the reason she left the tribe, Freyja’s heart became heavier.

“Thank you,” Char said with a smile.

Then, Freyja thoughtfully started to introduce the history to Char.

“The Siran Continent was originally a continent of tranquillity and harmony. Although there were occasional disputes among the gods, they never escalated to a life-or-death situation and no deity had ever fallen in history.”

‘That’s not right, is it? So peaceful? Is this even a D&D world?’

‘But D&D is inherently a multiverse concept, and Siran Continent is clearly an unknown Main Material Plane, so it’s not that strange.’

‘By the way, this answers one of my previous doubts, which is why there’s a deity like the Moonlight Goddess Bai Ying whom I’ve never heard of.’

‘Clearly, this Moonlight Goddess is a native deity of the Siran Continent.’

“First, it was conspiracy. A network of intrigue eroded the world and pried open the gates of the planes. Then came tyranny, which shattered the existing order and dealt a heavy blow to the world, and after that, death descended.”

“The deities of Siran united to resist but fell back step by step. The Dawn God fell during this period. At the most perilous moment, the Dawn arrived; the forest regained its vitality, beings of the Siran Continent welcomed hope once more, and regained the courage to fight their fate.”

“But the calamity is not yet over, and the eyes of the Evil Gods still watch over this once bountiful and peaceful land.”
