Emerald light shimmered, and soon the Green Leaf Storm overpowered the Ghost Orchid, gaining the upper hand!

At that moment, Char, Auson, and Lantern Firefly were all surprised to discover that the Tree Ghosts clawing and lunging around them had suddenly vanished, and the forest returned to normal in an instant.

The moonlight was cold and clear, the mountain forest silent and solitary.

The only difference from before the occurrence was the addition of a creature at the scene.

That creature, midair and currently clashing with the Clover Mantis, was spewing ghostly blue flames from its mouth, desperately resisting the oncoming Green Leaf Storm.

Few have ever seen a Ghost Flying Lizard; by day, they seldom appear, but at night, they blend entirely into the darkness. In addition, Ghost Flying Lizards can spew a breath like a ghostly blue orchid. It is said that they carry a trace of giant dragon bloodline.

The creature before them bore some resemblance to the Red-eyed Eagle Lizard, a top-tier Magic Pet of the pet circle known as “King of Sudden Death” from Char’s previous life.

Red-eyed Eagle Lizards gained fame for their resemblance to the giant dragons of Western legend and also earned the nickname “King of Sudden Death” due to their notorious difficulty to keep alive, often dying suddenly.

The Ghost Flying Lizard in front of them had a striking resemblance to the Red-eyed Eagle Lizard in form.

Lantern Firefly was far less powerful than the Ghost Flying Lizard and was suited for distant support. If it got mixed up in the fight, it could easily be gravely injured by the Ghost Flying Lizard with a single blow. It was better not to trouble Clover Mantis.

The same went for Char himself.

Lantern Firefly rapidly approached Char while swinging its lantern. “Red Glow” was activated in an instant, and the bright red flames immediately flew like a string of fireballs towards the Ghost Flying Lizard.

Meanwhile, having just barely blocked the “Green Leaf Storm” with a successive use of “Ghost Orchid Breath” and “Ghost Servant,” the Ghost Flying Lizard still failed to make its escape.
