Although they lacked the strength to break through the reinforced fences, these piglets would soon either starve to death or die from sheer stress, highlighting their fierce nature and perpetual refusal to be subjugated.

When Char and Freyja arrived, the Thunder Night Dragon had already landed on the ground, baring its teeth at a group of pigs in front of it.

This group of pigs had white fur, perfectly blending with the snowy ground.

’Really don’t know how the Thunder Night Dragon managed to spot these pigs.’

That was the first thought that crossed Char’s mind.

As a Natural Prophet, his vision and perceptual abilities were already strong. With the added boost from the Natural Seal, his perceptual ability became even more formidable.

But even he, from such a distance, could not detect the group of pigs that had merged with the snowy ground.

’This group of pigs seems to have a high chance of domestication success!’

That was the second thought that crossed Char’s mind because the pigs in front of him were obviously very timid. Until then, there had never been a pig that stayed put and trembled after being intimidated by the Thunder Night Dragon.

Other pigs, although also scared half to death by the Thunder Night Dragon, would all flee headlong, with some more valiant ones even daring to counterattack when they realized there was nowhere to hide.

Encountering pigs that were so frightened they couldn’t move was a first.

His gaze quickly swept over this group of white pigs, and soon the system provided information.

This group of white pigs was called Four-season Pigs, and they were actually a type of Demon Beast.

Four-season Pigs change their fur every season to blend perfectly with their environment, leading many to mistakenly believe they are four different types of pigs.

The group of Four-season Pigs consisted of one male, three females, and eight piglets. Char and Freyja quickly captured them, taking the entire family back with them.

Then they were put into the pigsty, which had been prepared well in advance.

Watching the Four-season Pigs, who did not charge at the pigsty but instead calmed down somewhat with the departure of Demon Beasts like the Thunder Night Dragon and Frost Deer, Char felt a sigh of relief.

This was at least a good start.

But he couldn’t guarantee that everything would go smoothly from here because, based on previous experience, too many unexpected problems could arise.

Next, besides starting to attempt constructing his first Magic Model, Char tended to the vegetable greenhouse and observed the Four-season Pigs daily.

Even Char himself was surprised to have almost caught up with Freyja’s years of strenuous training within just half a year since stepping on the Transcendent path. After all, his personal panel was not a point-allocation or proficiency panel that would allow him to rapidly enhance his personal strength.

But then he thought, even a useless panel is still a cheat, isn’t it? It would still offer a bit of help in increasing his strength.

Moreover, his various hardware conditions were not bad: good Magic talent, the proficient Meditation Method, and ample Magic Potion supplies—whether obtained through Prayer or by trying out formulas from the Magic Potion Book left by Kedel.

His strength increasing a bit faster than expected didn’t seem so strange, after all.

With a notable increase in strength, constructing his first Level 1 Magic also went more smoothly. He quickly learned his first Level 1 Spell—Natural Divine Concealment.

This was an Invisibility Technique that could be activated in various environments, offering superb effects when used in natural surroundings, and while less effective in man-made constructions, it was still decent.

Char’s approach to choosing Spells remained the same, ensuring his own survivability so as not to become a burden to his Magic Pets.

Then came the potatoes, ripe and ready for harvest. Char and everyone worked together, plucking them from the earth one by one, washing them, and stowing them away in spatial bags they had prepared in advance.

In Siran Continent, spatial equipment is not too advanced; large spatial equipment is certainly precious, but small spatial equipments are not considered rare.

Char had used Prayer to conjure up a batch of them.

It wasn’t that he found it troublesome, but even with Prayer, conjuring large spatial equipment was very difficult, costing a hundred Praying Power. Where would he get so much Praying Power now?

He could only compensate for quality with quantity.

After loading the potatoes into the spatial bags, Char set off again with Freyja, filled with anticipation.

When Barn Firecast saw Char and Freyja’s figures in Fireplace Town once more, his face clearly lit up with surprise.

"Ryan! The traveling merchants from the other day are back!" Barn called out joyfully to his companion.

Soon, from several other directions, figures mounted on Iron-Backed Wolves and Cloud Leopards approached, and their faces too showed surprise at the sight of the two riding a deer and a leopard across the snowy plains at speed.

But their excitement faded quickly, for they did not see any caravan following Char and Freyja.

If Char was here to sell food, surely he’d need a convoy to transport it, wouldn’t he?

Now, not to mention a convoy, there wasn’t even a large bag of grain in sight on either the Frost Deer or the Floral Blue Leopard.

Despite the disappointment, the elf Ryan quickly led his team to meet them.

"Char, Freyja, it’s a pleasure to see you again. Have you encountered any troubles, or are you here to buy something in Fireplace Town?"

"It’s great to see you again, Ryan," Char greeted Ryan politely before nodding amicably at the others.

"Thank you for your concern; we haven’t encountered any difficulties. We are here to honor our previous agreement and sell food."

As he spoke, Char intentionally shifted his body to reveal the spatial bags tied to his waist.

He had exchanged them for Prayer Fragments, a total of three, which had cost him thirty streams of Praying Power. He just hoped that he could earn back what he had spent on the food he was selling this time.

"Is that a spatial bag?" exclaimed Ryan with surprise.

Barn and the others’ faces were also filled with joy.

Welcomed warmly by the group, Char and Freyja quickly entered Fireplace Town.

Upon entering the small town, they were met by an enthusiastically greeting dwarven man with a big beard. He inquired how much grain Char had brought this time and when he learned there were fifteen cubic spaces of potatoes, his enthusiasm rose even more.

Fifteen cubic spaces of potatoes might not seem like much relative to the town’s population, but Fireplace Town was not completely out of food—they just had a shortage.

Procuring so many potatoes in one go was of extraordinary significance for Fireplace Town; what they needed to clarify now was whether Char was proposing a one-time deal or a long-term trade. If it were long-term, what would be the frequency? Could he bring this many potatoes every time?

If the frequency was high and the quantity sufficient, then they could weather the food crisis.
