Fantasy Lord: I Have a Moving Castle

In the Prayer House, Char was engaging in prayer. With strands of Praying Power turning into light, soon a bag of potatoes, wheat seeds, and corn seeds appeared on the stone slab.

These were the crops he planned to firmly invest in planting next.

Potatoes and corn are very economical and excellent crops, with short growth cycles, high yields, rich nutrition, and also a good taste, while wheat is the traditional staple of the Siran Continent.

Since Char intended to engage in food sales, choosing these three types of crops was most suitable.

As for vegetables, in the materially deprived and war-torn era, filling the belly is the most important thing. Pursuing a balanced diet and nutrition is a luxury reserved for after satisfying hunger.

When it comes to sales, vegetables are definitely not as marketable as grains.

Next, Char and Freyja began sowing seeds.

This delicate task was not suitable for large-sized Magic Pets like Thunder Night Dragon, Green Lotus Frog, Frost Deer, and Floral Blue Leopard to undertake. Star Worm, without hands or feet, also couldn’t help.

Only the Clover Mantis, Fierce Sword Firefly, Night Helmeted Owl, and Rain Sound Kingfisher were of help, along with Betty and Auson, though their small size and strength offered limited assistance, better than nothing.

The most useful during seeding was the Clover Mantis. With its grass-attribute, it infused each seed with a bit of vitality, not only accelerating the seeds’ growth and germination but also improving their chances of survival and germination rates.

What about Betty’s ability to accelerate plant growth?

For very small-scale planting, she could handle it. But for planting on such a scale, even if she was exhausted, it wouldn’t be enough. How many times can she unleash "Natural Flourishing" when she’s at full Magic Power?

At best, she can only affect the crops within a few square feet, hardly noticeable.

So, it was impossible to rely on Magic to accelerate the growth of crops. Neither Betty nor Char himself could manage that.

Although the Natural Prophet has the ability to accelerate plant growth, with Char’s current Level, a single spell wouldn’t have much more range of influence than Betty. Besides, he hadn’t begun to learn the corresponding spells yet, and even if he did, it wouldn’t help much.

However, Char wasn’t completely unable to help. After all, the Natural Prophet is a Profession that combines Elemental Magic, Prophetic Magic, and Natural Magic. Directly using spells to boost such a large area’s crop growth isn’t feasible, but making some fertilizers to moderately promote plant growth is still possible.

The Magic Book left by Kedel contained many unique fertilizer recipes, and Char would make them when he had time.

After a session of painstaking labor, all the seeds were finally planted. Looking at the valley that had completely transformed, Char, despite being sore and aching, still felt a sense of achievement welling up inside him.

Next, Char left the watering to the Green Lotus Frog. The Green Lotus Frog conjured up multiple Water Frog Clones, directing them into the fields. Each clone stopped at every sowing spot, allowing water from within the frogs to naturally soak into the earth, then moving to the next spot.

To expedite the growth of the crops, Char even crushed the lotus seeds nurtured in the Green Lotus Frog’s hands and placed them inside the bodies of the Water Frogs, one seed per frog.

The lotus seeds had an incredible effect, just as effective on plants as on animals.

With one crushed lotus seed in each Water Frog and even though its juice was diluted countless times, and each seed receiving only a little water, this was enough to significantly benefit the seeds.
