Chapter 12: Cultivation 12— Ehhh....Plane Flight Gone Wrong?

Chapter 12

The flight to Akiou Prefecture was precisely six hours. Given the duration, all the passengers were advised to relax and make themselves comfortable.

"Welcome all! This is a flight brought to you by the esteemed Wayde Airlines."

A cheery and welcoming feminine voice rang out from the speakers embedded throughout the interior of the plane.

The passengers erupted into cheers and applause. After all, they were aboard the number one airline on the Yuxian Continent. To obtain tickets for such an airline was largely determined by one’s connections and status, both of which Haruki possessed through Dion.

"I fully assure you of a wonderful, relaxing, and exclusive flight to Akiou Prefecture. Oh! I am told that the residents and governmental bodies are going to be hosting the Ravellie Festival in a week’s time. Make sure to stop by if you can. That will be all from your humble Head Air Hostess (HAH), Deiee!"

Ariel, Rosalia, and Nibel had their faces glued to the window, their eyes filled with sparkles as they watched the plane take off.

The first class was made up of several separate private wings. With technological advancements and the aid of Dao, aeronautics had taken a tremendous leap forward. Now, most first-class chambers aboard a plane consisted of separate wings instead of just one chamber with fancy chair-like beds, a bar, and tons of food.

Each was equipped with its own bed coach, platinum TV set, Wi-Fi, food services, storage drives, and a bathroom complete with a jacuzzi.

"I figured it out." Nibel licked her lips, placed a finger beneath her chin, and wore a smug expression.

"We are in the stomach of a giant bird."

She said it with so much confidence that Rosalia burst into loud laughter, her hands clutching her stomach.

"Nibel, I might have been locked away for a long time, but even I know that this is a flying car. We had them back in my home world."

’Geez, both of them are fucking idiots.’ Haruki continued scrolling through his phone.

They continued to argue and argue until Haruki completely had enough.

"Hey, ladies, why don’t you ask Glimp?" He tossed an iPad toward them.

Rosalia sprinted forward, streaks of pink Dao trailing behind her. She caught the iPad effortlessly with one hand.

"Hello, Rosalia. I’m Glimp."

The moment she made contact with the iPad, it booted up by itself. A large ’G’ appeared on the screen.

"I didn’t know there were AIs in this world too." Rosalia’s lips curled into a smile.

’What do you think this is? The 1800s?’ Haruki let out a sigh.

"What is this magical box?" Nibel cautiously stepped closer, one step at a time, her hands stretched forward in a defensive stance.

"Ehhh... it’s a phone," Ariel sighed.

"I even knew that much." She gloated.

"I think he said iPad, not phone, Ariel," Rosalia corrected her.

"Oh! Is that so..." Ariel pursed her lips.

"It’s good to see you both in high spirits, Lady Ariel and Lady Nibel," Glimp’s electronic voice echoed.

None of them bothered to ask how Glimp knew their names. They were far more concerned with whether they were inside the ’stomach of a giant bird’ or a ’flying car.’

Glimp’s answer shocked the hell out of them. Even though he was right, it was also painfully obvious.

"You all are in a plane."

"Wha... What!" Nibel’s eyes widened in confusion, her smooth thighs trembling as she staggered backward. She placed both hands on her lustrous, shining purple hair before lowering herself into a crouch and planting her fat ass on the floor.

’This world is strange.’ It wasn’t the world that was strange; it was simply her perspective of it.

Ariel and Rosalia kept bombarding Glimp with all sorts of rather tedious and annoying questions. Haruki blocked his ears with his earbuds and allowed them to continue until they eventually got tired.

’It’s nice to be around lively people.’ A faint smile spread across Haruki’s lips.

"O! O! I got another one!" Rosalia scooted across the carpet.

"Who is the strongest person alive?" Her eyes widened, her jaw dropping in anticipation of Glimp’s answer.

"There is no definitive data on that, as I am not permitted to access such information at my current clearance level," Glimp replied.

"For real?!" Rosalia’s excitement instantly crumbled. Her expectations plummeted from the heavens straight to the ground—completely shattered.

"So, how do we increase your clearance level?" Ariel inquired, her voice brimming with curiosity.

"You would have to increase the overall rank of your sect," Glimp replied.

"So what’s the current rank of our sect?" Nibel crossed her legs, resting her face against the arm she had placed on the handle of the couch.

"Your current rank is—" A couple of dots rolled across the iPad’s screen.

"No Name!"

The iPad rebooted.

They couldn’t believe it, but Haruki wasn’t surprised. They hadn’t even taken their promotion test yet, so it was no shock that their sect was sitting at the bottom rank—a ’No Name’ sect.

The ladies were completely dumbfounded. They were so powerful that they had once been locked away, yet somehow they now belonged to a bottom-ranked ’No Name’ sect.

"I sense multiple foreign bodies with hostile Dao signatures rapidly approaching this aircraft."

A radar appeared on the iPad, displaying five red lights rapidly closing in on the plane.

"Very well... some fun."

Rosalia stood up and slammed her fists together. Pink Dao surged from her body. She had been itching for a proper fight ever since the practice match she had earlier with Ariel and Nibel.

"All passengers are advised to remain seated. You may experience some turbulence, but please bear with us. I assure you that you will all arrive at your various destinations safely and in one piece."

The Head Air Hostess, Deiee, announced over the speakers.

The reserve Cleansers hired to protect the plane sprang into action. Haruki could hear footsteps pounding across the plane’s roof.

"This is your final warning... Halt!"

The sect leader pointed a shotgun at the incoming assailants, who were encased in fiery red Dao.

"I said... Ha—"

A blazing ring of scorching flames flashed through the air, cleanly severing the sect leader’s head before he could finish his warning.

"Yh... Yh, and I heard you."

A man wearing a red flame hoodie, matching sweatpants, and sneakers casually ground the sole of his shoe against the dead sect leader’s body.
