###Chapter 112: Leading the Charge for Her
After the speech, Gia Jennings was the first to applaud. "That was so well said!"
She was used to being Cecilia Young’s hype woman, but this time, she meant it.
After all, hadn’t Cecilia Young spent all this money treating them to a meal for the very purpose of uniting everyone so they could improve their dancing?
Everyone couldn’t help but applaud, thrilled by her words.
"Will this really make people notice our dance troupe?!" one of the girls asked, her eyes glistening with excited tears.
"Of course," Cecilia Young said with a smile. "It’s all up to us. As long as we work hard, the public is sure to notice."
Nina Wainwright looked at the unfamiliar faces before her and said softly, "As long as you trust me, I’ll do my best not to disappoint you."
"Of course," Cecilia Young immediately chimed in. "We’re counting on our lead dancer to guide us to victory and help us aim for the national team."
Her words made everyone turn to look at Nina Wainwright.
Seeing their hopeful gazes, Nina Wainwright felt a warmth spread through her heart. "Of course. If there’s anything you don’t understand, I’ll teach you everything I know."
As a team, what they had lacked most before was communication.
But if they could build an emotional connection, their dancing would transform. The emotions they expressed would become fluid rather than rigid.
"Great!" everyone cheered, overjoyed.
The appetizers arrived quickly, and Cecilia Young, not standing on ceremony, urged everyone to eat.
Dancing burned a lot of energy, and they also had to maintain their figures and body fat percentages. So, the moment she picked up her chopsticks, no one else held back, and they all eagerly dug in.
The meal was a very happy affair.
After the meal, when Nina Wainwright saw Cecilia Young pay the bill, she stood up. "I’m just going to the restroom."
Quite a few others needed to go as well, so Nina Wainwright let them use the restroom in the private room while she, Cecilia Young, Gia Jennings, and a few other girls headed to the public one.
Nina Wainwright came out of a stall and was about to wash her hands when she unexpectedly ran into Talia Talbot coming out of another.
The moment Talia Talbot saw her, she said snidely, "You’re not stalking Zach, are you?"
Nina Wainwright ignored her and walked straight out of the restroom.
Talia Talbot followed her. As Nina stood by the sink, Talia continued, "I heard you joined a dance troupe. No offense, but back in ancient times, dancing was something prostitutes did in brothels to entertain officials and nobles."
"Oh, and official prostitutes," Talia Talbot added, the corners of her lips curling into a smirk.
Nina Wainwright continued washing her hands and glanced at her. "But now," she said in a cold tone, "dancing is an art. We even have national dance companies. What, are they all just official prostitutes in your eyes? If you’re that uneducated, you should read a few books instead of constantly making a fool of yourself in public."
"Don’t you act so tough—AH!" Before Talia could finish, someone grabbed her hair from behind.
Cecilia Young had a death grip on her hair, her eyes blazing with fury. "Who are you calling an official prostitute?! You bitch, if you don’t know how to talk, then shut your mouth!"
As she spoke, she viciously slapped Talia Talbot across the face.
Nina Wainwright was stunned, but she quickly urged, "Let her go!"
’Talia Talbot is Luna Sterling’s friend,’ she thought frantically. ’If Talia’s here, Luna and Caleb Ford must be too. If they come over and make a scene, it’ll be bad for Cecilia.’
"She was bullying you! Why didn’t you fight back? Her mouth is so foul, did she eat shit for breakfast?!" Cecilia Young cursed before shoving Talia Talbot away.
Talia Talbot’s face was already red. Shoved against the wall by Cecilia Young, she struggled to regain her footing before lunging forward to grab Cecilia’s hair.
Gia Jennings rushed out of the restroom and kicked Talia Talbot squarely in the stomach.
Cecilia Young spotted a broom in the corner, dashed over to grab it, and started whacking Talia Talbot with it.
Nina Wainwright grabbed Gia Jennings, then rushed to pull Cecilia Young back. "Stop it! Ms. Walsh will be furious if she finds out!"
"I’ll take responsibility! Didn’t you hear that bitch call us official prostitutes? A dog’s mouth can’t spit ivory, and I’m going to teach her a lesson today!" Cecilia Young shoved Nina Wainwright aside and brought the broom down hard on Talia Talbot.
Cowering in a corner, Talia Talbot shrieked, "You dare hit me? Do you have any idea who I am?!"
"Do you know who *I* am? I’m your daddy, and today I’m gonna teach you how to act like a human being!" Cecilia Young yelled, swinging the broom and beating Talia Talbot relentlessly.
Just as Talia Talbot’s screams grew louder from the beating, a familiar voice boomed from the doorway. "Stop it!"
Nina Wainwright turned and saw Caleb Ford. On instinct, she pulled Cecilia Young and Gia Jennings behind her.
A disheveled Talia Talbot, looking utterly wretched from the beating, ran behind Caleb Ford. With tear-rimmed eyes, she cried, "It was three against one! They ganged up on me!"
"Nina Wainwright, you’d better have your friends apologize, or none of you are leaving here today," Caleb Ford said, his voice cold as he glared at her.
Cecilia Young pulled Nina Wainwright aside and stepped forward. "Apologize? She’s the one who insulted us first, and I haven’t even made *her* apologize yet! Who the hell do you think you are to demand an apology from me?!"
This was the first time Nina Wainwright had ever seen a girl as brazen and fierce as Cecilia Young.
She wanted to talk them down, but she knew that showing any weakness right now would be a mistake.
With that, Cecilia Young pulled out her phone and sent a voice message to their dance group chat. "Girls, get over here! A couple of scumbags are bullying our people! If we don’t beat them until they’re on their knees begging for mercy, they’ll think we’re easy targets!"
Nina Wainwright wanted to scream. ’This girl lives for chaos!’
Caleb Ford’s face turned livid.
When the troupe of dancers arrived, they brought Luna Sterling with them.
Seeing how bad the situation was, Luna Sterling immediately made a call. When it connected, she said, "Zach, there’s trouble by the restrooms. You need to get here, quick."
A moment later, Zachary Hawthorne arrived with Silas Sinclair in tow.
Cecilia Young, still brandishing the broom, saw them and jutted her chin out. "So, is that everyone? Have you gathered all your backup?"
Nina Wainwright pulled her back and whispered, "The one who just arrived is Zachary Hawthorne."
Cecilia Young, of course, recognized Zachary Hawthorne—he was a rising star in the business world, after all—but she wasn’t the least bit intimidated.
Stepping forward with the broom, she stared at Zachary Hawthorne. "This friend of yours called one of our girls an official prostitute. Isn’t that a gross insult? We’re candidates for the national dance company, yet she feels she can run her filthy mouth and insult artists like us whenever she wants. So, you tell me, who should be apologizing here?"
Zachary Hawthorne glanced at Talia Talbot.
Talia Talbot immediately shot back, "I didn’t say that! Nina Wainwright has a grudge against me, so she and her friends are deliberately targeting me! Last time, she hit herself just to frame me! This isn’t the first time she’s pulled something like this!"
"You are shameless!" Cecilia Young shouted, acting like a gang boss as she pointed the broom at Talia Talbot. "If you have the guts to say it, then have the guts to admit it! Who’s framing you? Who’s targeting you? I don’t even know who you are! Why would I come after you if you hadn’t run your disgusting mouth? I’m telling you, if you don’t apologize today, we’ll surround you right here and won’t let you leave! How many people have you got? There are fifteen of us!"
