If Michael decided he wanted to end his life, then Noah would have no choice but to hide himself somewhere where he wouldn’t see the rest of the world. A place where he wouldn’t think of such thoughts.

He... Would never let him go in such a manner. Even if they were going to break apart soon, at least he was sure Michael was alive somewhere in the world. With that assurance, he didn’t need to worry too much. He could always watch him and know everything he was up to... but if Michael left his grasp completely by dying... How would he cope with it?

"I wasn’t planning to jump." Michael said with a rather solemn voice as he brushed Noah’s voice. "I mean, I planned to spend Christmas together, didn’t we?" He rested his body on Noah’s. "I won’t go back on my promise and I... I’m not going anywhere."

Noah felt his heart melt. He didn’t know how to explain this. He didn’t know what it was, but he decided to confess. The words that sang in his heart that he chose not to believe.

"Michael," he called. "I believe you and I... I missed you." He said, and Noah watched him from below. He saw the seriously sad expression on Noah’s face, and it caused him to smile.

"I missed you too, Noah." He said, and Noah kissed him.

This feeling... This burning feeling that they both missed was coming back to them with a single kiss.

A feeling that made it impossible to live without the other.

"Michael," Noah called softly as he brushed his lips softly against Michael’s. "I like you a lot, Michael." Michael’s eyes widened. "So, please don’t leave me. Don’t think of dying. If you leave like that, I don’t know what will become of me."

Michael’s breath was caught for a moment. Did he just hear what he did? Noah said he liked him?

It was an honest confession and one that made his heart beat in excitement.

"Haha," Michael laughed.

It wasn’t funny. It wasn’t funny at all, but he couldn’t stop laughing.

"I feel the same way." Michael said, reaching his hand to his face and caressing his chin. "I don’t know what I’ll do if you suddenly disappear from my life, Noah. I don’t know if it’s the mark that’s making me feel this way, but it’s a feeling I wish I could keep. I... I like you a lot." He pulled Noah’s head lower and kissed him again.

They locked eyes, and the question as to how Noah was suddenly there evaded him for the moment. He only cared about wrapping his arms around Noah and taking in his warmth.

His lips no longer quivered with the cold, and his fingertips had become hot. At least, he was certain that this wasn’t a dream.

There was a car waiting at the side. It was the car that carried Noah, and there was a driver too.

"Come," Noah said, and suddenly lifted Michael off his feet. It was an action he carried out a lot when they were at home, so Michael wasn’t too shocked.

But to think he would do that in the middle of nowhere.

"It’s cold." Noah said, referring to Michael’s hand. "Let’s go to your hotel room."

He carried Michael and dropped him inside the car, also getting in and saying,

"Tell the driver the address," Noah said, and Michael looked at the driver. He wore a hat so he wasn’t able to see his face clearly.

But from the rear view mirror, he was able to see a long scar on the man’s face. A long scar? That was quite intimidating.

"Michael?" Noah called, and Michael snapped out of it.

"Oh, right. Golden Rose." He called the name of the hotel he was staying and the driver nodded, putting on the engine.

Noah held his hand, interlocked their fingers, and kissed it.

"I forgot to tell you," Noah said, smiling at him. "You look good in a suit."

Michael blushed. Noah had never seen him in a suit, so this was his first time, and he gave him a compliment.

But then Noah leaned in and whispered in his ear,

"I think you’ll look better after I take it all off."

Michael’s face flushed.

He knew right away what was waiting for him as soon as they got to his hotel room, and thinking about it, his face flushed even more.

They hadn’t done it in a while, so he was looking forward to it.

Noah watched Michael as he flushed. He could feel his heart beating in excitement through his hand, and that brought a smile to his face.

His feelings for Michael were deeper than he thought. It might’ve begun with the mark, but after that, the fondness and warmth he got were gotten from what he saw with his eyes and felt with his body.

These feelings could not be fake.

He pressed his hand on his chest.

Was this what Michael meant when he said he would rather be delusional in ecstasy than give up on what he was feeling, even if it was as a result of the mark?

The delusion was so sweet that he did not want to wake up from it. His delusion of being in love.

Love was such a strong word, and he wasn’t sure he understood it completely, so he said he liked Michael very much. It was true. He liked him. He liked him so much that he wouldn’t be surprised if it was love.

He kissed Michael’s hand, and Michael looked up at him.

"You..."

"What’s wrong?" Noah asked, seeing Michael roam his eyes around him, and then he lowered his head.

"I’m sorry." Michael apologized in a low tone, but Noah did not know what he was apologizing for, only to see that in his pants, there was an erection.

"You... What have you been thinking about?" Noah asked, unsure how Michael was able to get hard so soon. He didn’t even touch him.

"Your hand feels so hot and just being next to you..." His heart thumped. "...I can’t help but feel it. It’s been a while and I... I missed you a lot."
