It came to my understanding that ’females’ were a rare species that could be found only amongst regular humans. Their existence was made for werewolves, the Alphas, to be precise.

Their existence was a huge aid to Alphas, so once the existence of a female is spotted, an Alpha does not waste time to claim them as theirs, even if they were still an infant in the womb.

As for the Alphas who already had females but were looking towards the future of their pack, they would choose the female early on, whether their heir was born yet or not.

And it also came to my understanding that such females were capable of giving birth to more Alphas with strong traits of their fathers... Even if they were male. What the hell?!

Did that mean I was going to get pregnant?

That trait didn’t follow their body structure from birth just because they were female, but after being marked by their Alpha, they would undergo changes, which often came after a long and life-threatening fever.

"Then soliloquize a little quieter. I thought you were running mad for a moment there," he said, and I shot beams from my eyes at him, but they all bounced off his thick, tanned skin.

I found a strange site that told me more about werewolves as well as their females more accurately than any other site I had searched.

And so far, the things inside aligned with my current situation so I had cause to believe that they were actual facts.

The person who wrote that article must’ve definitely known the ins and outs of the werewolf community.

There was this part that said the high society rulers were mostly shapeshifting werewolves and Lycans disguised as normal humans, which made me wonder if all the big men who appeared in TV conferences were werewolves.

Wait, was the president a werewolf too? I don’t even know what the world is becoming anymore.

But Lycans and Werewolves are never on the same page, so they smile together in front of the camera, posing a ’friendly’ competition between their companies, but in secret, they go to war with their packs.

’So, did a war break out for Noah to have gotten lost and injured?’

If he was indeed one of the high society rulers then it would make sense that no one would put up a missing person poster. They would just be announcing to their rivals that their backbone was missing.

But why haven’t I ever seen him on TV in the past? Not that I was ever one to pay attention to the news.

"Here," Noah dropped the sliced apples on the table next to me and I smiled at him.

"Thank you,"

Day two after Noah’s heat ended and he was doing all he could to nurse me back to health.

He carried me to the bathroom when I needed to pee or use the toilet, which happened a lot because my insides were a mess. I was just glad I had become a ’female’ whose body adjusts quickly after taking care of the Alpha’s heat.

They say heat cycles last for a few days and though I was sure a day and a half passed while Noah was ’dealing’ with me, it was still considered quick.

The reason was that I was his partner, his marked female.

"Come to think of it," I spoke up as I munched down on an apple. "When did you mark you?"

Noah heard my question but looked away. I could tell he was unable to tell because he, too, didn’t know.

I doubt he would’ve willingly marked me while in his right mind. In the first place, he never got intimate with me while he was in his right mind.

It was all his wolf’s doing. And the reason his wolf was that active was that I had already become his marked female.

I couldn’t even think up a time when Noah bit me. Not when he was human though. I could think of the time he bit me as he struggled the first time I picked him up. Was it then?

I gave it a thought but shook my head.

’No way, that’s too half-assed.’ I thought.

There was no way something as grand as a marking would be done so halfheartedly.

"By the way, how can you tell I’m marked?" I asked, and he dropped one knee on the bed, leaning closer, which got me flustered.

What was he doing?

He reached his hand towards me and then pulled the collar of my shirt aside a little and said,

"When you feel hot and... Horny, the mark appears like a flower in bloom on your neck. And I believe that is where I marked you." He said and I looked over my shoulder.

My neck always felt hot for some reason when Noah was being intimate with me and now I know why.

Ah, then did that mean that for all those times Noah licked and kissed my neck, there was a flower there?

’I’ll try to take a look next time.’ I thought and ate more of the apple.

I had gotten better and didn’t need to stay in bed all day anymore but Noah still took care of me like I was an egg.

His sense of responsibility ran deep and it made me feel good. The one who would end up with this man in the future would definitely be a lucky one.

He might be a prideful Alpha and a very stubborn guy to convince, but he is compassionate once he makes a promise and carries out his responsibility to the end.

"Is there something on my face?" Noah asked but I simply laughed and said,

"There’s a splatter of handsome on your face, that’s what," I said. "Want me to lick it off for you? I’m really good with my tongue."

Noah looked at me, sighed, and said,

"Think about recovering completely before you start coming up with such awful pick-up lines." He said and stuffed an apple in my mouth. "You’re bad at it."

Despite his blunt words, I couldn’t help but laugh. I was just teasing him anyway and didn’t hope to actually get in bed with him so soon.

And his reaction was just as expected.
