Wait! How Did The Stray Dog I Picked Up Turn Into A Man?!

Micheal looked at what Noah was pointing out and discovered it was the laundry system. Yeah, of course. They had to switch days on who would pick up the filthy clothes and drop them in the laundry.

"I’ve already done that, while you were fast asleep, I mean unconscious. While you were unconscious." Micheal said and cleared his throat. He was probably being petty because of that kiss. "But the next time we need to do the laundry, it’s your turn, so I’ll assist you to make sure you don’t destroy my machine in the process."

Noah nodded. He was level-headed, but what Micheal did not like about him was the level of seriousness that was no different from indifference plastered on his face.

He was taking everything calmly but at the same time, it felt like he just didn’t care. He just wanted to get it over with.

"Also, do not barge into the bathroom as you please." Micheal added. "I could be in there. So, learn to knock. Same with my room. It’s not your house, remember? And there’s someone else living with you. You have to learn manners and not act like a barbarian. I won’t forgive you just because you’re not human, understand?"

Noah nodded obediently but for some reason, it irked Micheal. He had purposely said something offensive like ’it’s not your house’ yet he was still so calm.

He didn’t act arrogant as he did in the beginning, and he had completely humbled himself, knowing he might get kicked out of this safe hiding place if he kept putting up airs.

He sighed. Guess he was just being petty to an innocent man at this point, and for no just reason too. He was just so bitter about the world.

"So, do you have any more questions?" Micheal asked but Noah shook his head. "Alright," he stood up, taking the piece of paper in his hand and going to stick it to the front of the fridge. "You may not have a question, but I do."

He stood in front of Noah and asked,

"How is it that you were able to cover the entire kitchen in thick smoke and yet the frying pan is still intact?" He asked, his hands on his waist and Noah guiltily glanced away. 𝗳𝚛𝚎𝚎𝘄𝕖𝕓𝕟𝕠𝚟𝚎𝕝.𝗰𝕠𝐦

For the first time in a while, that serious and indifferent expression shook.

Micheal was delighted, and he smiled, but as soon he got the answer to his question, that smile fell, and his face was squeezed in regret.

Noah had used up 20 eggs. The moment he saw that the first two weren’t working out so well, he decided to add an extra two. He did that till he exhausted all 20 eggs in the fridge.

"Did you think adding to it would fix the problem?" Micheal asked. His hands were trembling as he stared at the several eggshells littered on the floor.

How did he not notice it since earlier? It wasn’t just the smoke that was a problem but the entire kitchen was a mess.

Ingredients were scattered everywhere, and the kitchen appliances were out of place as well, as if he had been battling with them while trying to select the right one to fry the eggs with.

’Something tells me that the eggs would’ve been a poisonous dish if they hadn’t been burnt. So, thank God for that.’ he sighed. "Noah, just... Never attempt to cook again. If you do..."

"I understand," Noah said as he nodded obediently. He probably already guessed that he was no good in this aspect.

"Alright, I’m beat. I don’t think I can clean this mess this night, and I don’t have the energy to make dinner either, so I’m ordering takeout." Micheal said, taking out his phone. "I’m thinking Chinese noodles would be good at this point. What about you?" He asked him but he did not say anything. "Ah, right." He turned to look at his phone and continued ordering. "You have no say in this. I’ll just order the same. If you don’t like it, it’s your loss."

After making the order, he decided to go take a shower. But on his way to his room, Noah suddenly caught him by the hem of his shirt.

"Hm? What is it?"

"This..." He held his shirt out. It was no longer white but looking grey thanks to the smoke. "I noticed there was only one pair. I can’t sleep on it since it still smells like smoke and it’s uncomfortable."

"I’d have asked you to sleep in it specifically as a punishment for ruining my kitchen, but I’m not that devious." Micheal said, kind of wishing he was, in fact, devious.

The kitchen was literally crying thanks to him.

"Come on, we’ll put it in the laundry and it’ll probably be dry by tomorrow. I only got you one pair of clothing, so sometime soon, we’ll go out and get you another." He said.

Micheal showed Noah how to use the laundry machine and Noah nodded, deciding to put his knowledge to use.

Since it was his only clothing, he would have to go around in his briefs till his clothes dried up.

Noah took off his shirt, once again showing Micheal his broad and compelling chest but Micheal did his best not to look and looked the other way instead.

Noah also took off his sweatpants and dumped them in the washing machine. But as he was about to pour in the soap, Micheal immediately knew he had made a mistake.

He only told Noah that he had to put the soap afterward; he never told him how much soap to put in.

Noah was about to pour in the entire can when Micheal snatched it from him and sighed in relief.

He proceeded to explain that the quantity of soap to put in varied according to the quantity of clothes. So, since it was only two pieces, they needed only a little.

Though Noah said he understood the process from there, Micheal was not so sure and told himself he would be there to watch Noah use the washing machine the second time.

Micheal went to take his bath in the meantime. What he needed, after this long and hectic day, was a hot shower to wash down his fatigue.

Even when he worked overtime in that goddamn company, he didn’t feel this stress. It was as if his muscles had knotted in one area.

"Ugh, I can’t even reach my back at this point." He complained as he tried to reach his hand to his back and scrub, and then Noah knocked on the door.

"May I come in?"
