Michael stared at the raging Steven. He looked like he had gone mad for his son.

His white hair that seemed to glisten like the crescent moon was suddenly in shambles and his emerald eyes were red with age.

His face looked like it would explode any moment with veins crawling on his forehead and his lips continuously twisting.

That once calm demeanour had been completely destroyed due to the pain of losing his son. He hoped to find him as soon as possible.

Suddenly yelling and destroying everything wouldn’t bring Olivia back. It would only give the kidnapper a leeway to escape.

This... This was not the way he wanted this vacation to go.

"What are we going to do?" Michael asked, his hand pressed on his face and his body trembling. He looked like he could faint from worrying, and Noah held his hand. "I... I’m worried about our little girl." He said.

"Don’t worry, Michael." He said. "Let’s exercise good faith."

But what would that do? If anything happened to Olivia... If anything...

Just why did this have to happen on the day they visited the land? Why couldn’t it be peaceful like other days?

"Let’s go," Noah said, leading him out. "We’ll search too. In the places where light never shines."

The incident in Disneyland was being broadcast and all exits from this land had been blocked and barricaded so that the criminals could never get away with so many children.

There was chaos everywhere and the parents whose kids were kidnapped were sobbing their eyes out and waiting for the authority to bring back their kids for them.

Meanwhile, the chaos outside had yet to reach the insides of the cage that had muffled subs if children who missed their parents and were scared.

Even with Olivia’s warm reassurances, the children couldn’t stop crying. And Josh... Josh’s small voice cracked as he whispered,

"Olivia, I... I’m scared."

Olivia turned to him with that radiant grin of hers, bright enough to pierce to blind him.

"You’re fine, Josh. I’m here. Nothing’s going to happen to you." She said.

His teary emerald eyes quickly softened, believing her without hesitation.

"But... how are you not scared?" He asked.

Her smile didn’t falter but grew wider instead.

"Because I believe in my Daddy and Papa." She said. "They’ll come for me. For us. I definitely know it."

"My Daddy will be searching too," Josh said softly. "He must be very worried." His hands on his hurdled knees were shaking.

His daddy never liked to take him out of his sight so he was homeschooled and pampered, given everything he wanted. His Papa was also very pampered but he could tell that his Papa did not love him as much as his Daddy did.

That’s why he rarely spent time with him.

If his Papa knew what was going on now, would he be scared as well? Would he try to find him the way his Daddy was probably doing?

His Papa was a bit weird but he knew he wasn’t a bad person. He just... Loved his daddy more than he loved him.

But he couldn’t be thinking of this. He needed to survive here. He needed to get back to his Daddy so his Daddy wouldn’t worry anymore.

But what if they never find them?

This thought ate at his heart and frightened him.

"Let’s cheer up," Olivia suddenly said, holding his trembling hand to reassure him. "We’ll definitely get through this."

"Mm." Josh nodded.

But deep inside, Olivia was trembling. It had been more than an hour. Why weren’t they here yet?

Just like the rest of the children, she was also scared but didn’t want to admit it. She wanted to cry as well. She could feel her eyes welling up, but thankfully, it was dark, so no one would see her tears and how she was always wiping them off.

If she broke down now, they would all fall into a panicked state. They were barely holding on right now.

They just needed to hold on until her Daddy and Papa got there.

But then, a terrible thought slithered through her mind; What if the kidnappers took her far away, somewhere her Daddy and Papa couldn’t find her?

They would cry. She would cry.

They would blame themselves. And she didn’t want that. She didn’t want them to be sad because of her. Her papa had been sad for too long and only recently started smiling like everyone else.

She didn’t want to be the reason her Papa and Daddy shed tears.

She clenched her small fists, a sudden determination brewing inside her.

If she had a chance, she would make sure her Daddy and Papa knew where to find them. But what could she do? The bars of the cage were locked and that giant padlock mocked her.

No way she could get out of there simply because she wanted to.

And then it came to her. An idea.

With her chin tilted proudly, she stood up and declared boldly, loud enough for the guards to hear.

"I need to pee." She held but the guards did not take this literal or see it in a good light.

The guards groaned.

"Sit down, brat." He yelled at her.

"I really need to pee. If you don’t let me out," Olivia said matter-of-factly, "I’ll pee right here all over myself and all over them. And then it’ll stink in here forever." She snickered. "You’ll have to put up with the smell as well cause you’re on guard duty, Mister. You don’t want that, do you?" 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝚠𝕖𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝕖𝚕.𝚌𝗼𝗺

The other children sniffled, some gasping at her shamelessness and some scared that the guard would retaliate and take it out on all of them.

The kidnappers cursed under their breath, glaring at her like she was an eyesore.

"Can we please hurry it up? I badly need to pee." She kept urging, twisting her legs and squeezing her face like she was holding a fart.

Josh looked at her, wondering if this was a good idea.

What if they hit her for being stubborn and a nuisance? He wanted to tell her not to go or carry out this idea of hers but... He didn’t know how.

And he didn’t know if this was the only way they would be able to get out.

One of them finally grumbled, "Fine. But no funny business."

"Got it." She managed to stand up with her hands tied in front of her and started walking out carefully so she wouldn’t step on any of the children.

Josh watched her walk out with wide eyes, admiration swelling in his chest. She really did it. They were going to let her out. She glowed even here and even now, in the darkness where no light shined.

’She’s amazing,’ he thought.

But he felt this was not the time to be caught up in his admiration. He seemed to understand what Olivia was planning to do.

He had no courage and could not be considered as brave but this time... This time, he was going to do something as amazing as her.

As Olivia reached the exit, after the guards had taken off the huge padlock, Josh stood up.

"I... I need to pee too!" He suddenly blurted, hurrying after her.

That was all it took. Just one voice and one push.

The other kids saw this, saw the opened gate and the kid rushing out to go with the other kid and thought this might be a chance as well.

They were not the brightest of minds but they knew how to grab an opportunity.

"I... I want to pee too." Another said, hurrying to his feet.

"Me too!" Another joined in.

"I want to go out."

"I need to pee. My pee is coming out."

"I want my mummy!"

Chaos exploded as the other kids stumbled forward, pushing, crying, grabbing at the bars.

They were all headed for the entrance and the guards cursed, trying to force them back.

And in that storm, Olivia ran. She had been in the front already, spaces behind from the rest of the kids so while the other guards were focused on the kids making chaos, she took this opportunity and darted for what looked like an exit, her little lungs bursting as she screamed for help.

"HELP! HELP!"

Her voice wasn’t very loud but it was enough to alert anyone in the surrounding. The guards saw this and wanted to stop her but someone had to stay and stop the kids from bursting out of the cages.
