Noah had once been determined to keep his pride while living away from his pursuers. He told himself he wouldn’t get comfortable. He was an Alpha, and his pack relied on him, so he had no reason to stay here after completing his objective.

He never thought that as the days, weeks, and months went by, he would come to sink into the comfort and peace that this place provided him.

’I want to stay here with Michael.’ This thought was all he had these days.

His thoughts might’ve been influenced by the mark he put on Michael and the fact that he was a female, but he did not want to think of it that way.

Just like when Michael described his state as being intoxicated by fine wine filled with bliss, he wished to remain in that intoxicated condition for a while longer.

He understood it now. This bliss... It was too sweet to give up, that he would rather stay intoxicated for a while longer than have the sweetness leave his mouth.

When he watched Michael act out in his cunning way, act immature, try to seduce him, and even rely on him, he came to the understanding that the sight of Michael brought him peace and a warm heart.

And because of that, he wished he could live here for much longer. And to do that, he would need to ’protect’ this peace he had found.

He threw away his resolve and wanted to settle for what he had now.

"Do you like my body that much?" Noah asked as he watched Michael roam his hands over his chest, down his abs, and through his hips.

They were in the bathroom and Michael was in the process of helping Noah wash up, but he couldn’t stop his hands from tracing every muscle line over his soapy body.

"Do you even have to ask?" Michael asked. "Your body turns me on just looking at it. So, what do you think happens when I touch it?"

Noah went silent. Micheal was a rather horny one who never got tired of sex. But he did not hate that part of him.

In fact, it made him an even more amusing character to be around.

"I don’t want to be the one to break the promise," Noah mumbled, and Michael took this as him saying he could do whatever he wanted.

"In that case," he grabbed Noah’s arms and took a step back, pulling him along till his back met with the tiled wall. "It’s all on me,"

Noah glanced at the shower knob and then at Micheal who was trying to start something.

To think this was the same place Michael had relentlessly yelled for him not to come in, got injured in the process, and had to live with one hand for a while.

So much had changed between them that they were now taking a shower together.

He grabbed Michael’s hand and raised it to look at his elbow.

"Sorry," He said. It was an apology that was long overdue but it didn’t mean Micheal would not accept it. "Does it hurt?" He mumbled as he stared at the scar left by the accident, and Michael, though taken aback for a brief moment, exhaled and smiled.

"If it hurts, will you kiss the pain away?" Michael asked, but Noah was already doing just that.

He planted his lips on the scar and glanced at Michael devilishly.

"Does that make you feel better?" He asked, but Michael was at a thin straw. He held his breath because of how crazy the visuals looked.

He wanted this man.

"Not there," he said as he released his breath. "You have to..." His words slurred as Noah placed his hands on the wall, pinning Michael to that position and making him feel a bit awkward.

It wasn’t the first time he was hovering over him and yet... This position felt so weird.

It felt like Noah was cornering him and trying to seduce him. It wasn’t the case but still...

"Kiss me on the lips to make me forget," he mumbled, and then Noah whispered in his ear.

"I will." His hot breath on Michael’s ear got Michael’s body shivering in excitement. "I’ll kiss your lip," he said and began to kiss Noah from his ear, to his cheeks, and to his lips. "I’ll do whatever you want. So, hurry up and look at me."

Michael felt their roles had once again been reversed, but it wasn’t a bad thing. He managed to pull his awkward gaze from the side and glanced at Noah, who had his eyes on him.

His dark yet sexy eyes seemed to be loving every reaction of his.

Noah leaned in and kissed his lips, patting their lips together softly, and then he pulled away, saying,

"You’re usually always honest," he grinned. "What, are you shy right now?"

Michael bit his bottom lip, staring at Noah. It wasn’t that he wasn’t being honest. He just... Found it so exhilarating when Noah acted like this, to the point that he was worried he would also go out of control.

They both had sides they didn’t want the other to see.

"Go ahead and tell me what you want," Noah said. "Since you started it, I’m not the one breaking the promise."

And once the promise was broken once, they would continue to break it.

Noah was almost always neutral, self-composed, and in control of his own tone. But when he got seriously turned on, he became a different person entirely.

His tone was no longer indifferent, his breath was no longer calm, and his expressions... They looked like they wanted to devour Michael whole.

And when that happened, Michael did not hesitate to surrender to him and let him do whatever he wanted.

Noah reached for the shower knob and turned on the shower.

Hot water, just the right temperature, rained on them, beating their skin gently and washing away the soap on their bodies.

"Noah," Michael called, and wrapped his arms around his neck.

He was barely standing on his feet since he wanted to hug Noah entirely, and Noah crouched his back, moving down to lift Michael into his arms.

He brushed his cheeks, but the water kept pouring from his own head onto Noah’s face.

"Do you want to continue?" Noah asked, just to be sure, and Michael nodded, leaning in to kiss Noah on the lips.
