Wait! How Did The Stray Dog I Picked Up Turn Into A Man?!

Micheal sat Noah down and Noah, who obediently waited to hear what Micheal had to say, looked impossibly innocent.

Even for a big man like him, thanks to the striking features of his face, he looked like he would never commit a crime in his life.

But who knew just what he was up to when he was still with his pack.

"Hah!" Micheal sighed feeling depressed.

"So, you have no idea what you did last night?" He asked him.

"When? Before I helped you take your bath or after?" Noah asked and that oblivion expression caused Micheal to feel even more depressed.

Even if he did not get depressed after what had happened to him, Noah’s oblivion was enough to drag him into depression.

"So, you have no idea what you did last night when you crawled into my bed in the middle of the night?" He flared at him, raging angrily. "You literally take advantage of me every damn time you close your eyes and..." He stopped talking, his heart pounding loudly for some reason.

He clutched his chest and looked away.

He was so angry that he blurted everything out. He heard some time ago that it was not a good thing to let people with PTSD and sleepwalking abnormalities know what they do or even let them know about it.

Most times, the patient wouldn’t believe and at other times, it would start to mess with their memories, not knowing which exactly was reality.

’I don’t think Noah will have anything to worry about since he already has messed up memories anyway,’ he thought, resting his head on his arm. ’But... What’s with that pain I felt in my chest all of a sudden?’

"So, you’re saying I was sleepwalking?" Noah asked and Micheal darted his lazy eyes towards him.

"Yeah, you heard me right."

Noah went silent.

"Are you sure you haven’t been dreaming of me?" Noah asked and Micheal gasped, feeling offended.

"Huh? What did you say? And why would I dream of you?" He asked, his face twitching with annoyance. "I told you you were sleepwalking and..."

"I don’t believe it." Noah simply stated and Micheal looked at the firmness on his face.

He looked like he wouldn’t believe him no matter what he said. No wonder they said it wasn’t a good idea to tell sleepwalkers that they were sleepwalking.

He clocked his tongue and looked away.

"Whatever. Forget I said anything." He said. "I just wanted to pour my annoyance out on you, but I only wasted my breath and got even more annoyed in return."

He got up and headed for the room.

"I’ll go sleep some more. If you’re hungry, you can eat cereal and if you don’t like it, just hold the hunger till I wake up." He said. "Don’t forget the chores and..." He stopped and glanced over his shoulder. "Try to keep yourself busy so you don’t fall asleep."

The last thing he wanted was to wake up to a hungry beast growling at his face and trying to make him horny.

He was fed up.

Noah watched Micheal leave and after he was gone, shoved his fingers through his hair, pondering on what he had said.

Did he really sleepwalk? No, such a shameless behavior was not fit for an Alpha of his caliber. There was no way he would be subject to a slave of his own subconscious.

But the thing Micheal said bothered him quite a bit. The fact that he believed Noah would climb his bed and take advantage of him. 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝔀𝓮𝒃𝙣𝓸𝒗𝒆𝒍.𝙘𝒐𝒎

How true was that?

That night, Micheal refused to take a bath and stayed in his room. He ordered food, and Noah was the one to take it when it came in, but he did not leave his room even to go take the delivery.

Noah knocked on his door and asked,

"Won’t you come out to eat?"

"Leave me alone, dammit! I’ll eat if I feel like it." He said. "That food is yours so don’t starve and eat to your heart’s content. And don’t even think of coming inside my room or I’ll really get pissed."

Micheal sounded like he was very angry even after so many houses had passed. He just wanted to be by himself.

"It’s not healthy to skip meals,"

"So, I have you telling me what’s healthy and what’s not now, huh? Thanks, ’doc’ but I know my health better than anyone." He sarcastically remarked and went silent reaching out for one of the cans of beer he had kept in his room’s mini fridge.

Noah sighed. Why was he throwing a tantrum? And... Thanks to his super senses, he could smell alcohol from inside the room.

Micheal was drinking but given how he was still speaking straight, it looked like he was still sane. But if he continued then...

"I’m coming in," he said, reaching for the door when Micheal yelled,

"Open that door and I’m throwing you out!" Noah paused. "I mean it. I’m really pissed right now, so if you even so much try and open the door... It’ll be the last time you open a door in this house."

Micheal spoke with the authority of the house owner and Noah, even though he wanted to be stubborn, realized that he was serious this time. And he could really throw him out if he did not obey.

He gritted his teeth.

"Then what would you have me do?" He asked. "I can’t leave you like this."

"My health and state of mind is none of your concern." Micheal declared. "You need to worry about yourself, Noah. You’re the one missing the world by forgetting who you used to be."

Noah did not let that get to him and instead, said,

"You can’t live like this."

Micheal picked up another bottle of beer and used the edge of the table to open it while holding it firmly to the body.

"I’ll live however I wish. It’s my life." He said and started gulping down.

"But my life is in ’your’ hands." Noah stated harshly and he paused. "If you lose your life just because you feel like it, I’ll lose mine too."

Micheal looked at the can of beer in his hand and then tsked. It was as if he was trying to put some kind of big importance on his life.

"Oh, don’t be a drama queen." Micheal said. "If I lose my life, you’re free to go look for someplace else to shelter you. Me dying doesn’t mean it’s the end for you. It’s only the end for me."

Noah went silent. Just what made him so angry that he was once again having these thoughts. Did something he believed happen to him affect his mind?

"Hurry up and leave. Go eat or do something else. Your presence at my door is distracting me from sulking." Micheal said.

"Why... Are you doing this?" Noah asked.

"It’s because someone like me doesn’t have any worth and shouldn’t be alive." Micheal said sadly. "I’m literally a curse to myself. No one will care if I die anyway so why bother? I’m just a useless waste of space. So it’ll be better for everyone, including you, if I speed up my death a bit and not spread my bad luck to you,"
