I started thinking a lot while resting my head on Noah’s shoulder. His words were right. Just because I plan to run away, it doesn’t mean everything will be alright. 𝙛𝒓𝒆𝙚𝒘𝒆𝓫𝙣𝓸𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝒄𝒐𝓶

Yes, I did plan to win by taking my life first but I’d only be winning against the world. The people who framed me at my workplace, the one who broke my heart and hit me, the life that kept pushing me to a corner... They would all win and I would remain a loser forever.

It was just so unfair that things never went my way, but Noah tried not to mind what was going on with me and made sure I survived. Sure, it was for his own interest, it was true that he was looking out for me.

I glanced at Noah’s face. He stayed still and didn’t even mind that I was resting on his body. Just what was this?

Why was he ignoring my existence? What if I tried to be a nuisance? What if I started demanding things that were not ’moral’?

Would be finally pay attention to him? Would he finally say something to me?

Gosh, this was driving me crazy.

With each passing second, I grew more desperate for his attention as if my life depended on it. My neck was hot as if it was burning but there was nothing there.

Nothing that I could see, at least.

But I always felt it burning each time thoughts of Noah crossed my mind and I started feeling the need to be around him. The need to get his attention and...

I reached my hand towards his face.

It was as if the feelings weren’t mine to begin with.

"Noah," I called softly and then I finally got to touch his face. It wasn’t as smooth as it looked. His chin felt a bit rough. Maybe he needed to shave but I don’t think I’ve ever seen him shave his face.

But aren’t werewolves supposed to have like more hair than normal humans? So how was he going days without shaving and still looking cleaner than me?

I mean, not that I was proud, but there were rough and unshaved beards on my chin that needed to be taken care of eventually, but I’ve occupied myself with Noah too much to even consider my own well-being.

"Noah," I called again, my fingers roaming his face. Just what was I doing?

I had no idea but I was infatuated by this man who refused to show me an ounce of his attention.

I know I’ve always been needy and clingy in a relationship but I didn’t think it was this bad that I would end up begging for attention.

Well, if I wasn’t going to get his attention the normal way then I’d better switch things up a bit.

I gripped the back of his head had then pulled him down enough so my lips could reach his. Kissing him wasn’t a big deal. I mean, we’ve done it quite a couple of times so this was nothing.

Besides, he had always been the one initiating it. So, for the first time, I would be the one to force my way into his arms.

Noah finally opened his eyes but his gaze on me was cold. He didn’t move his lips but didn’t push me away either, causing me to wonder what he hoped to accomplish.

If he was trying to show that I couldn’t move him then he was dead wrong.

I pushed him down so his back hit the chair and then I got on top of him. I had already come this far, there was no way I would back down now.

"I don’t know what you’re up to or what you’re trying to tell me with your silence, Noah. But I’m quite certain I haven’t gotten a single message you’re trying to pass out. So, it’s either you open your mouth and talk to me or I’ll open your mouth myself and slide my tongue inside."

Noah’s eyebrows furrowed and I smirked.

Take that. You don’t like the idea either, right?

’I don’t know why your sleepwalking self always liked to come to me and get intimate with me, but I’m certain that you, who’s in your right senses, aren’t gay. So this must disgust you to the point you want to throw me off but you can’t do that, can you? After all, I’m your benefactor keeping you under my roof. So, you have no choice but to open your mouth and speak to me.’

At least, that’s what I thought. Noah proved to be even more stubborn as he threw his face aside, refusing to look me in the eye.

"Haa," I felt irked. The nerve of him.

So, he’s not going to open his mouth and doesn’t want me to kiss him either so he decides to look away? Just how more practical can he be?

"Do you think I can’t turn your head over here?" I asked and tried to turn his head to face me but the strength on his neck was too much. I couldn’t even get him to budge.

Ugh, that darn supernatural strength.

"Fine, I’m not going to kiss your lips and slide my tongue in your mouth." I said and smirked. "But, I’m going to kiss everywhere else. Do you think you can turn your entire body from me without hurting me? Let’s see."

I planted my lips on his neck, and he flinched. Ah, was it because he was startled? His flinching got me started as well but I decided to continue.

He wasn’t looking towards me, either, so I bit his neck and nibbled. Contrary to what I thought, I was getting a reaction from him.

I felt his body twitch two more times, but he kept his mouth sealed, his eyebrows furrowed, and his face away from mine.

He was such a bonehead.

Anyway, the scent coming from his neck was nice. So nice that I didn’t want to move from his neck.

It was... In a word... Intoxicating.
