Just as she was about to tell Meng Yunhan about what happened with her, Han Ziyan heard her adoptive father’s voice from the porch. She raised her head and looked at Han Ruochen, who was holding a bunch of bags in her hands. Upon closer look, she realised that Han Ruochen had actually gone shopping in the mall at the county! With her sharp eyes, she noticed a pastel pink dress that she fell in love with at first sight. She forgot all about the unpleasantness that she had suffered at the hands of Yang Jianming when she spotted the dress in the bag.

Without getting Han Ruochen’s consent, she snatched the dress from Han Ruochen. She read the label and sucked in a breath. "You actually got this from the capital? Where did you get the time to visit the capital?"

"Return it to me!" Han Ruochen pulled a long face and snatched the dress right back like a young leopard cub who would not take no for an answer. "You can put your little heart to rest. Dad did not give me any money and I got them with my own earnings. These clothes are expensive and I don’t want you to tear them. It will be a loss if you do that!"

She received the money from the Zhai family in the morning; maybe they were too busy because of Zhai Heng and Yun Tao’s matter so instead of sending the money right into her hands, the Zhai family deposited that money in her bank. She received the notification on her phone early in the morning. She used to use a pager but after she opened a bank account, Han Ruochen realised that she needed a mobile phone. So of course she had to buy one because she was determined to not suffer in this life.

Earlier she went to the county and went to look for Sister Xia; she wanted to ask her if her elder sister could come to her shop and work there. After all, she had learnt how to dress up from Han Xuehan. As a disciple, she was so skilled, so Han Xuehan must be even better. Xia He had, of course, agreed with her; she even showed her the new batch of clothes that she received from the capital.

"Oh, you did not have to buy these for me." Han Yichen looked at the pale blue shirt with beige pants and a set of leather shoes. Even though he had never been to the capital, he knew that the price of these clothes was really high. Just look at the quality of the clothes; the fabric of the shirt was really good.

Han Ziyan also saw the quality of the clothes and was so angry that she stomped her feet. She looked at her father and cried, "Dad, just look at my sister’s attitude." if she could wear that pink dress to the warehouse, she could become the envy of all the women. Han Ruochen was so stingy. She did not want to snatch that dress from Han Ruochen forever; she just wanted to borrow it for a while. There was no need to be so tense.

"What are you making a fuss for?" Han Yichen could not help but ask with a frown.

"Dad, these sets of clothes are really expensive. They must be more than a thousand yuan; after all, they are from capital."

"She actually bought such expensive clothes?" Meng Yunhan was both shocked and furious. This wretched girl, she was really without a conscience. No matter what, she was her mother and had carried her for nine months in her belly; why couldn’t she buy her a dress to show some filial piety? She turned to look at her husband and said to him, "This won’t do. Tell her to return the clothes; she should know that we have no money at home, instead of giving us the thousand yuan, she is buying clothes for herself. She has no heart!
