Han Ruochen shrugged carelessly. It was indeed unreasonable, but when had Han Ziyan ever been reasonable? She was the kind of person who would do anything and everything to get what she wanted. Han Xuehan helped Han Beijiang into a chair and looked at the empty chairs as well. She blinked her eyes with a frown on her face before saying in a low voice, "Did mom leave—go to work early?" Han Xuehan wanted to ask if her mother had gone to look for their maternal grandmother, but then she changed her words. This matter was between her parents, and she could never interfere between the two of them. So what if her mother went to look for their maternal grandmother? What could she even do about it?

"I don’t know. They have not been here since early morning," Han Yichen replied with a frown.

He did not ask where the two of them had gone, and he did not care about the two of them either. If the two of them did not want to tell him where they were going, then there was no need for him to go out of his way to find out what the two of them were up to.

"What about the compensation?" Han Ruochen asked with a frown, suddenly feeling a sense of foreboding. She knew Han Ziyan very well; after all, that woman had the kind of arrogance that she would rather fight to the death and quit her job than return without compensation.

"I don’t know. Maybe she borrowed money from someone." Han Yichen took a fierce bite of his rolled omelette. He was still upset with the mother and daughter when he thought about how the two of them were looking around his room because they wanted to steal his savings again. Even though he changed his room, Han Yichen couldn’t sleep through the night at all.
