She turned to glare at the man and wrenched her hand free of his grasp.

She asked angrily, "What is the meaning of this? What were you trying to do?"

"What was I trying to do?" This was the first time he had seen anyone as reckless and ungrateful as Han Ruochen. "I was trying to save your life. What are you thinking, going over to that dangerous place?"

Han Ruochen looked at the steep path and said in a low voice, "It might be dangerous for you, but it is not dangerous for me. I am telling you to let me go. I am fine."

Zhai Heng wanted to say something more when a figure suddenly appeared behind them.
