Han Ruochen was simply speechless at the actions of the two men. She raised her hand and pinched the space between her brows. "Alright, brother, there is no need for you to say anything to Master Zhai. It wasn’t his fault; he just came to thank me, and it was Madam Yang who spoke all that nonsense. You cannot blame anyone for what she did or said."

She then turned to look at the man beside her and said to him politely, "Master Zhai, you should go back home. You are still not healed perfectly. If you stay here for long, then I am worried that you will end up getting sick. The winds here are cold."

When Zhai Heng saw that Han Ruochen was caring for him, all his anger soon deflated. He turned his attention to Han Ruochen and said to her in a soft voice, "I am fine. I will go back when someone from my family comes to take me home, they told me that I was not allowed to go anywhere until they are here to take me home."

Han Ruochen did not say anything. It seemed like the man was determined to stay with them; since that was the case, she might as well do her job and leave him alone. She sternly said to Zhai Heng, "Then you’d better stay put and not cause any trouble for me." She came to the shore because she wanted to hunt something good and make enough money for her motorboat but if Zhai Heng kept intervening, then she might waste her precious time.

Zhai Heng frowned hard. "Do you really have to do it? If you want money, then I can help you look for one."

"I don’t need a job." Han Ruochen’s face turned dark the second she heard Zhai Heng mention a job. She knew Han Ziyan and her mother very well. Neither of them could see her doing well if either of them found out that Zhai Heng had found her a job, then they would certainly not stay quiet. In fact, they would try their best to get the job. Han Ruochen had finally gotten rid of the troubles; she did not want to start again.

And why would she need a job when she had the sea scanning system?

As long as the system was in her hands, her chances of becoming the next millionaire were not far.

When Zhai Heng heard that she did not want a job, he thought she was speaking out of self-respect and pride.

It’s fine, let her suffer a little. Once she has suffered enough, she will definitely ask for a job from me. Thought Zhai Heng.

However, what he did not know was that Han Ruochen was not refusing his help because she was prideful. "Where are you going?" Han Yong asked Han Ruochen when he saw her walking down the Devil’s terrain. This was a path that many had taken and ended up slipping and dying. While he did not care what happened to his life, he did care a lot about his siblings. When he saw Han Ruochen walking over to the narrow and steep terrain, he couldn’t help but follow her closely.

Han Ruochen sighed. She wondered whose face she saw after she woke up from her nap, and she ended up running into these two obstacles. She turned to her brother and said in a low voice, "Brother Yong, I know what I am doing. So please trust me, I will not do anything that will put my life at risk." She cared too much about her life to do something so foolish as to put her life at risk.

Especially not when this was her second chance at life.

"Then why are you walking over to that point?" Han Yong followed after Han Ruochen. "Have you forgotten how many people have fallen to their deaths after standing on that terrain? The water flow is too severe and strong there, so come back here."

Han Ruochen turned to look at her brother and gave him a dewy sort of smile. She said to him, "Elder brother, you only remember the countless people who died, but you are forgetting those who made a fortune by fishing here. Who knows, maybe I will be one of those?"

As she spoke, she increased her pace and went to stand at the edge of the terrain. When Han Yong saw her stand at the edge, his heart jumped to his throat, and so did Zhai Heng’s. He thought that he was quite reckless, but it turned out that Han Ruochen was even more reckless, and his brother wanted him to follow her? Was he that upset with his actions that he was willing to put his own brother’s life at risk?

No. His brother was the most responsible person ever; he would never do such a thing, where he would put his own brother’s life at risk. Maybe his brother just did not know how crazy this woman was!

He closely followed Han Yong, but neither of the two men tried to pull Han Ruochen back because that could startle her. If she slipped, then it would be twice the trouble!

It was a good thing that they had not tried to stop or pull her because Han Ruochen was indeed too focused. If they had tried to pull her, then maybe she might have really slipped off the terrain. Han Ruochen steadied her footing and then picked up the fishing rod. Taking advantage of the fact that her brother and Zhai Heng were looking at her, she took out the bait from the universal bait box and hitched it on the hook.

She took a look at the earthworm that looked nothing special and muttered, "Here goes nothing." And she hurled the hook into the sea.
